I saw that one, really other then base races, the checks work as is. Not sure what kind of bloodlines ya might add. Tainted, vaisntin[spelling?],mist. lycantropic? not really sure. The bases seem to cover ravenloft pretty good.

I'm here.
Can you tell me more about fear, horror and madness checks? What attributes affect these saves?

Hey Ibram,
I'm not familiar with the Warlord class? Can you tell me more about these abilities?
Inspiration 3d6
Combat Leader +3
Commanding Presence +1
Hold the Line
Rallying Presence
Just curious. Thanks.
seekerofshadowlight(male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)
They are will saves. They can be triggered by just what it sounds like, things that induce fear {half the group is down, helpless and threaten with death, something with frightful pressance power"
Horror" bodys being dismembered and made into puppets, and such" and madness" the head talked to you, the baby eat it's mother, you saw an great old one"
Really it's Gm's call on what is a fear, horror or madness check...gods they lead to mad fun

Oh. well, the Warlord class is in the Tome of Secrets book. It's basically a fighter less trainings plus auras and tricks. I might as well go in detail, since all of them affect everyone.
Inspiration adds 3d6 temporary hitpoints to everyone within 30ft as a standard action, and lasts till the battle ends.
Combat leader adds +3 initiative checks to everyone within 60ft passively.
Commanding Presence gives everyone within line of sight...except myself, a passive +1 to attack and damage.
Hold the Line is just too situational. But if we're ever fighting defensively in a line (they're unclear on that as well), that's a +2 competence bonus to AC
And Rallying Presence gives everyone within 30ft a +1 bonus to fear spells and effects. Every little bit counts, eh?
Dotting this myself. I am nearly done polishing my character. I pretty much need just a few more magic items and then to total it up.
Thanks for the advice everyone - I think I incorporated it all!

Our party size is rather large. It looks like some of us have bought cure potions. Should we consider pooling our money for a Wand of Cure Light Wounds that Kalgrin could use?
Or maybe our superiors at the War College could equip us with a couple of these wands :) Infiltrating Ustalav might be nasty work.

Let me know what you think.
I have always believed that having potions is a good backup to the cleric, and also don't the clerics now channel positive nergy to heal party members around them now?

I agree about the potions. I bought a few myself. It is cheaper to buy a wand though. A potion is 50 gp per spell vs. a wand that is 15 gp per spell.
You are correct about the energy channel. I've never played Ravenloft, but it sounds like it could be a bit heavier in undead than other campaigns. Having more healing options would give Kalgrin greater flexibility with his channels. He could use it for healing as well as damaging undead creatures.
I think Ibram's Inspiration power is going to be very helpful when it comes to healing too :)

A gift for me! Oh, you shouldn't have! :)
I think it is a great idea if Lord will go for it.
I like your idea about the War College outfitting us even better. Ever seen a blue dwarf? I'm going to start holding my breath... Oh, apparently I've discovered the spell to transform into a smurf!

That's weird. Why did my avatar change? What have you done? :)
Keon(Male Human (Chelaxian) Wizard 6 (Transmutation))
Did it change again?
Edit: I guess not. Your spell's duration must have expired :)
Skimmed over the ravenloft player's handbook, and I saw something that caught my interest: Powers checks. Are we doing those, Thas? Because I'll have to rethink how I'll handle this character if we are. Wouldn't want him falling to corruption...that quickly.
seekerofshadowlight(male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)
Oh gods yes power checks...so fun...I once killed my whole party one by one. I did bring them back as my undead servants and all. Yay powerchecks :)
Lord Thasmudyan(Male Human Geek 5th/Tech Support 6th/Father 6th)
Thats the one I wasn't sure yet if was going to be in. Powers checks belong more in the actual campaign setting as these eventually lead you down a dark, dark path. And although I wouldn't care if a character got corrupted, like I said they are more geared towards the campaign. If they occur they will be for grevious acts of evil.
Will be posting IC thread in an hour or so.

Lord Thas, I still haven't completed outfitting my character because I am awaiting your thoughts on whether or not I can accept money from other characters for the purchase of a wand with healing spells in lieu of us each investing in scrolls. You see, we are a frugal bunch. :) Thanks.

if the group wants to pool there funds in game and buy a wand that is fine
seekerofshadowlight(male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)
I should be done, ya can double check i'll be happy to change what I need to
Hey Kalgrin...you should probably go forward with the assumption that we are not pooling our funds for a wand. Just my 2 cp :)
I'll operate under that assumption. :) It was a good idea, but in the end it probably won't make much difference, and we won't have to worry about an equitable division of resources.
