Remos picks up one of the beakers filled with the green substance. "What is this? Not look good." He drops it back onto the workbench.

(Male Halfling Cleric of Irori 3)

Faysal scans the room for magical auras using Detect Magic. Unless he get's stunned, he'll keep it going for the full 3 rounds.

Spellcraft 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 to ID the auras, if any.

AS the party spreads out in the room and Makin gets near to the northern bench, a sloppy, near-liquefied plant matter festooned with tiny mushrooms and patches of sickly green and mustard-hued mold spews out of the beakers and slams into Makin as it begins to ooze up his legs 1 damage.

initiative, Faysal you see no magic auras other than what the ooze puts off
map

Hearing the sounds of tumult, Haldo dashes back into the hall.

"Ho! What was that?"

Init 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

Move: 2 south and 2 east
Attack against "1": 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

(Male Halfling Cleric of Irori 3)

Faysal rushes over to Makin, and casts Create Water to try and wash the goo off of him.

Initiative 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

(Male Human Rogue 2)

'Ahhh!!!'

Init: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

Makin tries to claw the thing off of him.

[CMB] 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

(Male Human (Chelaxian) Wizard 1)

"Gods! This place has more danger than the desert itself! The caravan would be safer camping out in the open!"

I'm guessing that's another patch of mold/ooze by me? The number 2?

initiative 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

Numair reacts not so quickly, and shoots a gout of flame at the mold patch near him.

burning hands 2d4 + 1 ⇒ (3, 3) + 1 = 7

Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

Remos moves over to Makin and tries to remove from the mold from his legs.

Grapple: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Oh, missed the magical ooze- what's its strength and school?

As he is attempting to wash away the goo, FAysal also studies it to glean it's nature.

Makin shouts 'Ahhh!!!' and starts wiping the slime down off of his legs.
Hearing the sounds of tumult, Haldo dashes back into the hall. "Ho! What was that?" and slices the slime attacking Makin
Remos moves over to Makin and assists him in removing from the mold from his legs.
The slime near Makin slips into a floor drain and reemerges near Faysal.
The second slime moves to Numair and attempts to attck him but is unsuccessful

init order Makin, Haldo, Remos, Slimes, Numair, Faysal. Numair and Faysal can send me new round 1 actions, the rest of you can send the round 2 actions which happen before the round 2 actions of the slime.

map

(Male Halfling Cleric of Irori 3)

NEW RND 1 ACTION!!

"Makin, stop touching things!!!!"

Fayal places a Blast rune between himself and the slime, and makes a 5' step away from it, towards the corner.

(Male Human Rogue 2)

'It's not my fault, things are touching me!'

Makin rushes over to Slime 2's south side, opposite Numair, leaving the slime at Faysal to the rune and his burlier companions. He takes the attack of oppurtunity, in order to reach flanking position.

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

(Male Human (Chelaxian) Wizard 1)

Did my spell go off, and did it have an effect? Your summary post didn't mention the burning hands.

Numair immediately takes a 5' step back away from the ooze, and fires off a frce missile at the thing.

1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Haldo is astonished at the speed at which the slime moves. There are consequences to bad housekeeping, but this is ridiculous!

OOC:

Move: SW two squares.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Remos looks around until the slime reemerges, then starts raging. He runs over to it and tries cutting it with his sword.

Move 2 W, 1 SW

Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Damage: 2d4 + 9 ⇒ (2, 1) + 9 = 12

(Male Halfling Cleric of Irori 3)

I didn't use your last post as your round 1 action since things had changed I wanted you to have a option to change. So no it didn't go off. I will use your new action unless you say differently.

If I can, I'd like to use the burning hands action here, then. You can move the force missile and results to the next round (just move everything forward a bit ...)

I will post the round this afternoon, been in meetings all day

Cool!

"Makin, stop touching things!!!!" Fayal steps back and places a Blast rune between himself and the slime.
Numair reacts not so quickly, and shoots a gout of flame at the mold patch near him. The slime seems to be unaffected.
'It's not my fault, things are touching me!' Makin shouts as he runs over to get behind the slime near Numair and stabs it. The slime lunges at him but misses.
Haldo is astonished at the speed at which the slime moves. There are consequences to bad housekeeping, but this is ridiculous! He moves over to the first slime and slashes it exploding it across the wall, Faysal, and sending a splash into his own face.
Remos moves to assist Faysal and Haldo and nearly gets splashed with the slime himself.
The remaining slime slams itself at Makin but misses.

Makin stabs the slime again.

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

Remos lets go of his rage and tiredly drags himself over to the other slime, where he attacks it.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 3) + 4 = 11

Haldo moves up (if there is room) and attacks.

OOC:

Damage 1d6+4

Faysal steps back into the stairwell to give his big friends the room to maneuver.

"Immunity to flame!" Numair exclaims. "Try this on for size, then!" He steps back and fires his force missile at the slime.
Makin stabs the slime again. Killing it.
Haldo gets a feeling that he should dig in the center of the courtyard.
Remos lets go of his rage.

Map

(Male Human Rogue 2)

'Well, that was unpleasant,' says Makin, shaking stray bits of slime from his pant legs.

'Want to check whats behind that door over there behind Haldo and Remos?'

xyrophobic wrote:

Remos lets go of his rage.

Guided by an strange but compelling feeling, Haldo uses his sword to dig in the center of the courtyard.

(Male Human (Chelaxian) Wizard 1)

Does that mean you run back upstairs? If so, Numair, ever the curious one, follows ...

(Male Human Rogue 2)

I think it means that big open area on the ground floor, if so Makin runs after Haldo too, deeply confused by his friends change in trajectory.

Haldo, being led by strange thoughts in his head, runs up the stairs into the courtyard and pushes his way through the mass of overgrown vegetation to the center. He falls to his knees and digs into the soft earth. After a minute of digging he pulls from the three foot hole an old, dirty bastard sword.
The rest of the party look on in awe as he turns back to them with a slight smile to his face.

and no it isn't an "old dirty bastard" sword

(Male Human Rogue 2)

xyrophobic wrote:

That gave me a good laugh.

'Haldo... What in the Nine Hells is going on?'

(Male Human (Chelaxian) Wizard 1)

"Interesting. How exactly did you know this was there, Haldo?" questions Numair. Before too much can be said, Numair casts detect magic on the blade. "I suspect we will have a positive result; in fact, I would be shocked if this did not radiate magic."

(Male Halfling Cleric of Irori 3)

'Agreed. What's gotten into you Haldo?"

Numair Alazario wrote:

the sword has no magic auras but you do notice that it is not a normal mundane sword.

(Male Halfling Cleric of Irori 3)

Faysal takes a good long look at the sword
Know (History) 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Anything?

"I just had this feeling this sword would be here. Maybe I lived here in a previous life. Who knows? Anyways, it must be important in some way."

(Male Human Rogue 2)

'Maybe there's a ghost in the crypts below who wants it brought to them?'

'Let's go have a look, bring the sword!'

(Male Human (Chelaxian) Wizard 1)

"Yes, I would certainly say that there is some importance to it." Numair then has an idea. "Hold for a moment, Haldo." He then uses detect magic on Haldo, to see if perhaps there is an enchantment at work here.

"Take sword. Have extra. We go kill more slimes!"

Numair Alazario wrote:

Nothing stands out on Haldo.

"As you so eloquently put it, my large friend - yes, let's return to the basement and continue investigating it. I am unsure I trust this weapon, but it is far too interesting to leave behind, I think."

Impatiently, Remos heads back to the secret basement.

(Male Halfling Cleric of Irori 3)

FAysal eyes the sword suspiciously, but agrees with Remos that we need to keep moving.

The room has not changed since your last visit.

(Male Human Rogue 2)

Back

Makin opens the door to the north of the basement room.
