"Back to the room of many doors then?" Romon brushes the Chel wizard on his way past him.

Nothing personal, nightflier. Romon's really a smart-ass teenager, and he thinks Nate's a pompous jerk. And he missed that Nate brought down the first flying dog.

"You do seem to be directionally challenged person..."

Of course not. This is just great role playing.

Muchorak nods at Inikai and follows Romon back to the other room.

Wellard , I'd like door number 3. (left hand southern door)

Romon picks a door and checks it for traps and listens for anything behind it.

Perception (traps) : 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Perception (listen):1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Disable Device (if needed) : 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28

wont be posting for a couple of days guys..home net acess has failed and I can't take my reference material to work with me

Understood, Wellard. But what the heck are you still doing awake? I'm going to bed.

working nights this week

(Male Human (Chelexian and Shoanti mix) Binder 7 (favored class))

Is our prisoner still with us?

Marak had her during the dogfight. So I think so

yes the prisoner is still here

You Regroup in the room with many doors.

And that unfortunately people is where I have to put this gamwe on hiatus for the moment..I have lost my home internet connection and have no idea when i'm going to get it back.Posting from work is going to be spotty at best and I can't bring my reference material with me so until my home connection is restored I'll be concentrating on the playing side..fear not this game will restart as soon as I can do so, just keep an eye on it..I'll bump it ocassionally to keep it active

(Expert 3/Slacker 4/Layabout 2)

OK, Wellard. This game is definitely worth waiting for. Hope your connection is restored soon.

IN related news, I seem to have lost the discussion thread for this game. Can anyone help me?

(Female Forest Gnome

Wild Druid / 7)

HERE it is...

Romon bends his ear to chosen door, but then reconsiders. "Before we open this one, how about a quick bite to eat?"

Roleplay intensive opening gambit. A little chat, maybe work in some back-story. Any takers?

(Female Forest Gnome
Spoiler:

Wild Druid / 7)

The small grey wolf looks up at Romon seemingly trying to have a confused look on it's face. Shaking it's head in frustration in mid-shake it suddenly transforms into an adorable little female Gnome who Now very successfully looks confusedly up at the young thief saying
"There be more yucky Goblins to kill'um dead and Sneaky man wants to sit and...Talk??"

After this small outburst she looks to her friends as if trying to determine if this kind of behaviour is normal amongst the two-legs or if maybe it is she who is the 'funny-in-head' one.

"I must say, you look considerably better when you are not wearing fur."

"And eat. No reason to be hungry while we hunt the goblins down. And I'll bet the Chel is starving, but too proud to ask for food. I don't think the goblins fed him. He looks half-starved anyway. "

Romon rummages in his pack and pulls out some dried meat and a small sealed jug. "Wine, anyone?"

Muchorak looks at Romon as he pulls the wine out, "Now is not the time for drink." Looking at the others, "Though the rest is probably needed."

(Male Human (Chelexian and Shoanti mix) Binder 7 (favored class))

"Muchorak is right; we can drink wine after we get back. Something just occured to me: only Kallie knows what this witch-queen looks like. I suppose she will be the only non-bound human we encounter."

"Did the prisoner say whether she ever saw our quarry?"

normal service has been resumed..12 days without home internet wasn't pretty

"I believe the prisoner said she was below, but nothing more."

"Guys, goblins are miners, right? They've probably honeycombed this entire island with tunnels. We could be down here for days. Might as well be comfortable." Romon looks around the group for any support.

Wellard I had rolled a set of checks for the lefthand southern door about 10 posts up.

Romon

Spoiler:
Definitely something in that room.. rustlings and murmurs..also a smell akin to vinegar.. the door is not locked as far as you can tell

You eat..remaining wary off your surroundings. The dungeon remains eerily silent for now.

Ok people lets move things along

(Male Human (Chelexian and Shoanti mix) Binder 7 (favored class))

Inikai whispers "Well, Romon, is it safe to proceed through the doors?"

Muchorak ready's his weapons, looks to Romon "Ready when you are."

Qadira ((AC 21, hp 54 of 64) Human 7th Cleric)

Marak retains a hand on the prisoner (helping her to her feet if need be, after their stop), stowing his shield across his back, so that he can keep a hand free.

Romon whispers back. "There's something in there. I can't make out the sound, but there's something. The door seems clean."

Romon draws his shortsword and opens the door following his usual drill, shield himself with the door if it pulls open, or step through and to the side if it pushes open.

(Female Forest Gnome
Spoiler:
Basically same as regular gnome with a +4 Hide in Forest Bonus
Wild Druid / 7)

Senses alert Aki flows instantly into wolf form and pads quietly into the room, ready to pounce and attack.

Nathaniel remains behind, ready to jump in with a spell.

Muchorak will be standing ready to block anything that may come from the room if the door opens towards us, or if Romon has to pursue the door in he will follow getting just beyond the door way.

(Male Human (Chelexian and Shoanti mix) Binder 7 (favored class))

Inikai stands close by Muchorak so that he can see into the room when the doors open but still leaves enough room so he will not crowd him.

Ok I'll get something done later today for this..

Romon swings open the door preparing to move inside but finds himself confronted by a wall off greyish yellow fur..The Bugbear takes a swing at him with a massive flail smashing the young rogue into the door(16 damage)

Behind him a number of hideous goblin females in various stages of undress set up a shrieking as they scurry to the far reaches off the room.

Not a surprise round..the Bugbear used a readied action.

Initiative

Ali 26
Romon 23
Marak 22
Nathaniel 19
Muchorak 16 +
Inakai 16
Bugbear 9(inconceivable)

Qadira ((AC 21, hp 54 of 64) Human 7th Cleric)

"Nasty. Not that I ever wanted to know where Hobgoblins come from..." Marak mutters under his breath as his morningstar leaps from his grasp to swing at the towering brute, before flying back to his hand.

Hand of the Acolyte powered Morninstar attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Damage 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

(Female Forest Gnome
Spoiler:
Basically same as regular gnome with a +4 Hide in Forest Bonus
Wild Druid / 7)

Growling Aliwolf leaps, aiming in between the bugbear's legs as she tries to take a hunk of flesh out if it
Attack & Damage: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Muchorak brings down both blades on the bugbear...
Longsword D20 16+5= 21 Dmg D8 4+4= 8, Shortsword D20 18+5= 23 Dmg D6 5+2= 7

"Stupid brute, are you sure that you know what you are doing?" Cast Daze.

(Male Human (Chelexian and Shoanti mix) Binder 7 (favored class))

Inikai breathes out a gust of air into the beasts eyes to blind it.

Spoiler:
Fort save DC 13 or be blinded for one round

"Oof! " Romon is slammed on one side by the flail's head and on the other by the door. Ribs crack. (that's the hardest he's been hit ever) His next breath causes shooting pain. He nearly drops his sword, but manages to hang on and drive it toward the bugbear's groin.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

edit: crit confirm

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

(Female Forest Gnome
Spoiler:
Basically same as regular gnome with a +4 Hide in Forest Bonus
Wild Druid / 7)

Thank goodness for Romon's precision! Otherwise he may have hit lil Aliwolf. As it is, I think he just skewered whatever Aliwolf may have left

Ali's teeth find thigh not groin but Romons sword sinks deep eliciting a howl of pain from the huge goblinoid Maraks morning star bounces from its skull with a crack of bone and Muchorak launches a furious attack both swords biting into the creature ..neither Nathaniel nor Inikai seems to have any effect on the beast. The Bugbear is unarmoured, bloody yet still on his feet..he aims a second mighty blow at Romon..and misses completely

Damage on Bugbear this round 35 points

Qadira ((AC 21, hp 54 of 64) Human 7th Cleric)

Marak steps to the side of the door, encumbered by dragging the prisoner along with him, near to Roman, and drops his morning star, producing his Wand of Cure Light Wounds from his Haversack and lightly tapping the wounded Rogue on the shoulder.

Healing 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

That's some bugbear. Thanks, Set.

As he draws back his sword and thrusts again, Romon's pain lessens, thanks to the cleric's healing. Romon hardly notices though in the heat of battle.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Wellard, how much room to get around this guy? Are the goblins staying away?

[/ooc]No real space..he's blocking the doorway the goblin women are doing a good impersonation of frightened harem girls..yeh I know bad images huh[/ooc]

Muchorak lays into the beast again...
Longsword D20 15+5=20 Dmg D8 2+4=6 and Shortsword D20 12+5=17 Dmg D6 6+2=8

"Damn your eyes! Submit!" Casts Daze Monster

(Female Forest Gnome
Spoiler:
Basically same as regular gnome with a +4 Hide in Forest Bonus
Wild Druid / 7)

The small grey wolf tries to dart between the large creatures legs so she can flank it and attack from behind.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Attack & Damage:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 (flank not included)

(Male Human (Chelexian and Shoanti mix) Binder 7 (favored class))

Inikai is concerned that calling lightning in these close quarters could endanger one of his allies. But the beast seems so fierce that the risk must be taken.

Call Lightning

Aliwolf tries to dart between the Bugbears legs but the creature manages to block her slshing down with his flail, the little wolf/gnome yelps loudly as a cruhing blow smashes her to the floor(confirmed critical from the AoO 26 damage..Ali is on 0 HP and is staggered)In reply her friends unleash a flurry of attacks that leaves the big Goblin reeling in its turn..a blinding flash off lightning leaves Romon and Muchorak blinking ,as their eyes clear they see their foe unmoving at their feet.

Qadira ((AC 21, hp 54 of 64) Human 7th Cleric)

'Ow, gonna need a bigger wand for that...' Marak thinks, wincing in sympathy as the small wolf take a brutal hit.
