Mossi watches the outburst with some detachment, and a bit of amusement once the bird man stands and reply, listing to the way his beak wraps words was somewhat interesting, and such shinny feather he had. She sits back in her chair
"So , we are clear we are not to be assassins, and as our feathered friend her says I have no interest in being in chains in the hellknights dungeons, however' She says leaning forward "I am willing to hear what you have to say.
"I will not hold you here; I would never ask anyone to join me who did not willingly believe that there is a better way. Leave if you wish, and if you do so, I wish you all the best of luck in your travels... But I do hope you'll stay."
"Of course I will stay Milady! How can I not when you think of nothing more than the betterment of all Westcrown?" Standing, he looks at each person in the room (and briefly out the window everyone else has been pointing to between whispers), then kneels before her his hand outstretched to her...
"Lady Janiven, I hearby proclaim my love to you! For as long as it pleases you, I shall pursue this endeavor! However I may, I will attempt your happiness, so your smile may brighten the lives of those who bear witness!" He then bows his head and waits...
"Devils, indeed," says Ben, finally finished with his meal. "If the devils think you a criminal, does that not make you the opposite?"
He rises from his meal with a polite "Thank you," and starts recollecting the near-arsenal he's brought with him, putting weapons and shield in their places, listening with interest to the others.
"Yes, what does Thrune have to do with all this? And can you hurry up with this, we'd all rather leave before the Hellknights get here." Zareth stands up and begins to gather his belongings.
Sense Motive: 1d20+2=11 Also, would I know anything about House Thrune? Knowledge(Nobility):1d20+8=17

She laughs sarcastically. "I would have thought that you, as a diabolist, would know what Thrune has to do with it."
"Indeed, devils bring order, maybe not good but they like our country now has order. Not every thing has a hiding devil behind it. Now could we get to the matter at hand and leave matter of state to others?"

"I think she means for us to make this state a better one, something we can all agree on." Rakless stroked his beak thoughtfully. "It does seem at times as though this city's perfect order is merely a tool for more...industrious...varieties of evil. To paraphrase something our wizard friend said earlier, there's always a loophole."

Camris leans over to Tenze and whispers, "One thing at a time, my friend."
Sorry about my absence guys, I've had a really crazy week with work. The good news is that those hours are going to start to diminish, and I'll be returning to my old office job, where I can access Paizo at work, which will make my posting MUCH more regular. Unless, of course, you're my boss, in which case I'm working SUPER HARD!
Anyway, I'll get caught up this weekend, and I apologize for not moving as quickly as I'd liked. If it's worth anything, though, I think all your characters are awesome! Can't wait to see how they react to what comes next! ;)

She laughs. "Sorry. The whole 'expecting company' thing is making me nervous.

"Company," Ben muses, giving the small folk a quick, if not handsomely charming grin. Their good humor gives a hopeful cast to his normally dark outlook.
"I'm enjoying this company. A little cheer goes a long way in this city."

She laughs again. "Us gnomes are also aware of how important cheer is, though for different reasons."
OOC: It has been a month since Nameless has last posted. I do hope he's okay. Regardless, I believe the game has pretty much come to an end... And I was so looking forward to playing Grachius.

Seconded.
If there's still interest, I will sacrifice Rakless and try to take over as GM if everyone else approves. I liked all the characters and saw a really strong group here. It would be a shame to just walk away without at least trying a rescue.

Perhaps you could keep Rakless as a DMPC, we don't want to lose the comic relief character! ;)
Okay, that's three. If we can get back one or two more, I'll rev up the GM engines and pick up a copy of the adventure. I'd been holding off because I thought I would play it, but fate has chosen a different path.
I've opened a recruitment thread to replace the handful of players that lost hope. I'm going to send them over to this thread once their characters are ready and get us started again.
Make that four! I still want to play. Just didn't check back for a long time. Ready when you are!
Great, hope we still have enough room!
Okay, of the original cast, it does seem like you are still missing the monk. Does that mean Loba is in? If not, I'm fine with that and will place her on a shelf as an arrow to be drawn quickly in the future when the time is appropriate.

I hope so. I'm good with keeping her in the game. Nameless was going to allow an extra character when he was GMing.
Oh, yeah. Sorry for the "gender confusion" of my previous post. :)
