(Male Half-orc Barbarian 1)

Init 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

(female Half-elf 1st level Druid)

this will be my last post for the week im going to camp, should Luthein sit out of this battle?

Have fun at camp, Luthien. Well, with the drow using sleep darts, that should not be too hard to manage, he he. Although it would be more fun to do the 'damsel-in-distress' schtick, captured by drow, he he.

What? That 16 not good enough for you? Oh well, here goes
Init 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

(Female. Changeling, I suspect. Fighter 2/Oracle of Lore 1)

Luthien Landoli wrote:

Ah, good bye. I'll manage something, and we'll catch you up when you get back. I'll try and send you letters if I can :).

The second quarrel had, in fact, not missed completely; it stuck in Luthien's shoulder. The druid let out a small cry, then fell, luckily not into the river.

The next round hasn't started yet; we're still doing initiative.

(Female. Changeling, I suspect. Fighter 2/Oracle of Lore 1)

I still need Des and cole to roll initiative.

Cole Keegan wrote:

Damn, I hate those sleep darts.

Cole rolled for init already, he got a 10. Also Des has an intermittent access tot he internet, you may want to roll for him, if he doesn't post in a while.

(Female. Changeling, I suspect. Fighter 2/Oracle of Lore 1)

Oh, right. Thanks.
initiative;
Jirah 21
drow 5, 15
drow 4, 14
Mash 11
drow 3, 11
Cole 10
Raff 9
Kieyanna 7
drow 6, 7
drow 2, 6
Des 5

Jirah, who was standing beside Luthien, whips out her short sword and attacks one of the drow approaching her without missing a beat. She misses by inches, and the drow attacks, its rapier missing more wildly. The drow's companion uses the task of hoisting Luthien roughly over her shoulder as an excuse to begin to retreat.

Your turn, Mash.

(Male Half-orc Barbarian 1)

"Mash no like dark elves!"

Mash will charge the closest foe, and swing his mighty blade in an attempt to split the enemy in two.

Att 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Dam 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

(Female. Changeling, I suspect. Fighter 2/Oracle of Lore 1)

The mighty blow Mash deals the drow near Desvartes causes her to fall to the ground, no longer a worry in the battle.

Cole's turn.

"Hey, that's our guide!"

Charge and intitiate a grapple against the drow carrying Luthien.

Attack roll Grapple, provokes AoO if he is armed, CMB 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14

(Female. Changeling, I suspect. Fighter 2/Oracle of Lore 1)

The drow warrior drops the limp half-elf, suddenly concerned with freeing herself. She fails, for now.

Raff's turn.

Raff will go after the closest drow. Hopefully there's one close enough to get a full attack on.

Flurry 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 Damage 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 add +1AB if I have to do more than a 5' step
Flurry 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19 Damage 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 ignore if I can't full attack

(Female. Changeling, I suspect. Fighter 2/Oracle of Lore 1)

Raff breaks the neck of the drow who had shot Luthien.

(Female. Changeling, I suspect. Fighter 2/Oracle of Lore 1)

Kieyanna launches herself at the drow facing Jirah and a fury of claws and teeth, but her teeth miss her foe. The drow who had originally shot Raff unsheathes her scimitar and lunges, landing a blow. 3 damage

(Female. Changeling, I suspect. Fighter 2/Oracle of Lore 1)

initiative;
Jirah 21
drow 5, 15
drow 4, 14
Mash 11
Cole 10
Raff 9
Kieyanna 7
drow 2, 6
Des 5

(Female. Changeling, I suspect. Fighter 2/Oracle of Lore 1)

Desvartes lunges at the drow who had just attacked Raff, and stabs here through the heart. Jirah attacks her opponent, but misses wildly. The drow retaliates, and also misses. I swear, my dice are laughing at me. The drow being grappled by Cole attacks, and narrowly misses the cleric.

Mash, your turn.

(Male Half-orc Barbarian 1)

Mash will rage. Steam jets out of his flared nostrils. Dropping a single drow reminds him of the many he has slain before, and the emotion is overwhelming.

Mash's Rage: 6 rounds total
BAB: +1, CMB: +8, CMD: 21 Init: +3
Fort: +6, Reflex: +3, Will: +4 (Additional +2 vs. Fear)
HP Max: 16 (Current 16); Spd: 40 ft
AC: 16 (11 Touch, 13 FF)
Bastard Sword +8 (1d10+7/19-20)

Mage roars as he approaches the target. And with the speed of a panther, he drops his blade on the dark elf.

ATT 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
DAM 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

(Female. Changeling, I suspect. Fighter 2/Oracle of Lore 1)

Fortunately for Mash's intended victim, one of the last two of the patrol, the half-orc misses by a hair's width. The dark elf is now surrounded; by Jirah, and the enraged Mash and Kieyanna. The warrior looks around frantically for a moment, but sees no escape, her face contorting in an ugly expression of fear and murderous intent.

Cole's turn.

Cole will take this opportunity to take a prisoner here. He resolves to drag this drow to the ground.

Attack to Pin 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9 vs. CMD

(Female. Changeling, I suspect. Fighter 2/Oracle of Lore 1)

Spitting something obviously impolite at Cole, the drow warrior refuses to give ground.

Raff's turn.

Raff thinks his brother is a fool, but goes to aid him in capturing the dark elf.
Grapple 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14 Damage 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 non lethal

(Male Elf (Aquatic) Fighter 1)

*bows* I appologize for my lack of posting, but Real Life has removed my internet connection. I shall endeavour to post as often as I can manage.

Seeing Cole draging the Drow down and Raff moving in to aid his brother Des also adjusts his grip upon his rapier and tries to help subdue the dark skinned hellion.

Um, I am however at a total loss as to how to "Aid another" with such a task?

Att Roll:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Crit Confirm:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

Dam Roll:2d4 + 4 ⇒ (2, 2) + 4 = 8 (Subdual with Rapier pommel)

With a resunding 'thunk', Desvartes weapon (Hopefully) renders the Drow a lesser threat. Looking to his companions he grins,

"We seem to be making a collection of females who wish to kill us when first we meet them."

Cole gives the dusky skinned half elf a grin, and replies, "It's a gift."

(Female. Changeling, I suspect. Fighter 2/Oracle of Lore 1)

Ignoring Des's reference to her, Jirah springs forward and decapitates the remaining foe, seeing no need for two prisoners.

(Male Half-orc Barbarian 1)

Desvartes wrote:
"We seem to be making a collection of females who wish to kill us when first we meet them."

"You know, Mash has same problem. Mash don't know why."

"They are just covetous of our machismo and jealous of our obvious manly charms."

Cole gives his brother an amused look, and says, "Well, I don't know where you learned those words, certainly not from me! But you are right of course. Look at how Luthien fell, he he"

(Female. Changeling, I suspect. Fighter 2/Oracle of Lore 1)

Jirah gives a loud, long-suffering sigh, and goes over to where Luthien lay, kneeling to see if the half-elf was seriously hurt. A moment later, she stands up, carrying Luthien. "Our guide is fine, and should fully recover by tomorrow. Our current problem is that the more treacherous part of the forest, according to Luthien, is coming up, and the hole those demons crept out of is still gaping open." Jirah nods towards a narrow, pitch-dark cave on their side of the gorge.

Perception check.

Perception 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Perception 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

(Male Half-orc Barbarian 1)

Perception 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21

(Male Elf (Aquatic) Fighter 1)

Des actually smiles happily at Jirah, seemingly glad to have found a 'weapon' that can pierce the woman's 'armor'. ;)

Perception:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Though his gaze swiftly goes back to admiring their latest 'freind'...

(Female. Changeling, I suspect. Fighter 2/Oracle of Lore 1)

"I vote for continuing on; we should be able to stop a bit before the spider nest if Luthien isn't awake by then anyway. Someone else needs to carry the drow; my hands are full."

Why don't we just put her on the horse, trussed up, of course. What say you, Des?"

Raff moves to the prisoner with rope in hand. He kneels down next to her and gives her two quick jabs to her face (non-lethal).
"To make sure she doesn't wake up too soon." He says to Cole.
Even with his back to his brother, Raff can feel the look he is getting from Cole. It gets even worse as he starts to strip her of all clothing.
"Someone hand me my bedroll. I'll use it to cover her." This time he turns to his brother. "We don't know what sort of tricks she has. I do this only to minimize her options. Hopefully while undressing her I found a hidden weapon or vial of poison. I know what I could do if I were just tied up and I suspect Jirah would still be the most dangerous of us if she were merely trussed up without her armor."
Unless he is stopped, Raff will finish as he planned. The drow will be blindfolded and gagged. Her hands will be bound behind her. Her feet will be tied as well. She'll have the bedroll tied tightly around her with her arms on the inside. It will cover enough of her legs to inhibit movement. Once done, Raff will toss her across the horse to be carried. Finally, if there's enough rope left, he'll tie a noose around her neck and tie it off to the horse so that if it spooks and she falls off, she'll hang as the horse drags her.

(Female. Changeling, I suspect. Fighter 2/Oracle of Lore 1)

"I think our enemy won't be waking up anytime soon; we'll have to worry about her waking in about three days," Jirah remarks rather sarcastically.

Raff:
You find several hidden crossbow quarrels and a vial of poison. As predicted, she also had a hidden dagger.

Everyone can read the spoiler.
I'll show the items I find to Cole as evidence that I'm right.

Cole gives his brother a grudging smile, "Good job."

(Female. Changeling, I suspect. Fighter 2/Oracle of Lore 1)

Jirah starts to move purposefully along the riverbank, but then stops as if remembering something. Turning back to the group, she says, "Desvartes, do you think the horse would be able to carry both the drow and our guide, in addition to anything else it's already carrying, without risk of someone or something falling off?"

Sense Motive 20:
Jirah seems mildly embarrassed, and nervous, about something.

Sense Motive 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

(Male Half-orc Barbarian 1)

Mash will decapitate one of the dead drow, preferably female if any are available. Mash does need a new mug.

Sense motif 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

(Male Elf (Aquatic) Fighter 1)

Desvartes smiles at Jirah. "I have no doubt the noble steed can carry the weight of our new addition and our incapacitated guide." He looks at the light war horse, "If you're worries about things 'sliding off' I think we have enough rope and such to help them keep their place."

He looks to Raff and Cole, "Given the nature of our new found friend," He indicates the slumped figure of the drow-ette, "I would have been more inclined to completely remove all of her gear, clothing and equipment and replacing it with spare fabric taken from every one elses wardrobes..." He pauses and glances to Mash, "Well, maybe not every ones" He concedes with a grin.

Sense Motive:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

Sorry for not keeping up. Connection still spotty *grumbles* plus the time zone difference doesn't help. ;) *bows*

If Jirah gives Desvartes a 'look' about removing the Drows' clothing, Des simple glances back and makes the comment, "Far better to be safe , than sorry."

At Mash's behavior, Desvartes actually winces. "Um, good freind Mash, perhaps now is not the best time for taking such trophies?" He suggests

Sense Motive 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Cole looks over at Mash, ignoring Jirah for a moment. "Hey, leave your scalp collecting for another time, Mash."

Cole then turns his attention to Desvartes and gives a nod of approval on his actions. "Do what you have to do, we are a long ways from friends here. If this drow slows us down, we may have to do something about it later." The tone in his voice leaves little doubt as to her fate. "Make sure she is tied up, and let's get moving. We've wasted enough time as it is."

(Male Elf (Aquatic) Fighter 1)

Des looks to Cole, "How much time do you think we have?" He asks the other man.

"Actually, it t'is a pity our guide was taken out first. Some one who's skill might be able to hide our tracks would be handy." Des indicates the scuffs in the dirt the group is leaving as they move on.

"Assuming our new guest is worth something to her own allies, we may be making yet more friends before this venture is over." Des notes.

"Plus there is the matter of making sure our new freind is rendered 'safer'." Des drops his voice as he again voices his opinion about the dress sense of the Drow. He glances at the woman propped up in the saddle,

"Perhaps draping some ones blanket over her as a way of a simple disguise? make it look like just some one else in a cape?" He uses quietly.

Col looks back at Des, and shrugs, "I don't know, to be honest with you. All I know is our enemies are on the move, therefore we need to be as well. These drow have friends, and I think they will be coming after us. If Luthien were awake...well she isn't so we just need to press on."

"Go ahead and cover her up. Keep an eye on her, and make sure she won't cause any trouble. We just need more trouble on this trip." The sarcasm in his voice is unmistakeable.

(Male Elf (Aquatic) Fighter 1)

Des grins at Cole, "Hey, if there weren't going to be trouble. We wouldn't have been hired, right?" Des does his best with some one's blanket not wanting to put a winter weight thing over their captive. He again checks the bindings upon the Drows arms. He blinks as he thinks of something.

"Um, do we have time to make a quick stop while I get something out of the saddle packs for our freind?" He asks Cole.

Just looked back through Des' inventory and noted the manacles and chains there. Sorry for not thinking of it sooner.

Cole sighs at the delay, but says, "Do what you gotta do, just be quick about it!"

Yeah, like I remember half the stuff I carry, he he.

(Male Elf (Aquatic) Fighter 1)

Stopping the horse and rustling through one of the saddle bags, Des pulls out some length of fine chain a sets of finely wrought manacles.

With seeming deft ease he replaces the rope with the manacles and chain. The manacles affixing the Drow's wrists together behind her back while the chain connects to the manacles then loops up her back and around her neck. Seeing various party members watching him he shrugs,

"So, I had an interesting youth?" He remarks casually.

There. She'll be having a very hard time no mater how good her dexterity slipping her hands beneath herself and getting them in fornt of her. =)
