Heydar Above you comes the sound of something sliding through the trees. As the sound comes closer, a cloaked halfling runs past you, a frightened look on his face.
The link didn't work for me. Will seeing it affect my decision on what action I take?
Doesn't work for me now either.. okay, he looks a bit like THIS, except he doesn't have a rapier. And no, seeing it wouldn't have influenced your decision, it's just so you know what he looks like.
As the halfing flees past him, bin Asad spins and gestures above him, fingers stretching, ready to cast a spell or dive to his belt to draw his kukri. He shouts, "Hey!" to the pursued little man.
Delay action until he sees what is pursuing the halfing. Also, in case I need to fire, could you let me know the range when you introduce the critters?
No Reonnyn, it is not you. Another lizard is wounded by your blade, and it tries to run away as the others snap at you again. Only one manages to get any sort of hold on you, and yet again the teeth slide off of you.
Heydar Above you, high in the trees, slides a strange winged serpent. The trees are too close together for it to fly, but that doesn't seem to be slowing it down.
I reserve the right to draw inspiration from anywhere. ;)
"Oh s+&&!" Heydar exclaims as he extends his hands, which are wriggling in the intricate patterns necessary for his evocation. He mumbles a few unintelligible words and a ray of fire screams out of his hands towards the pursuing serpent.
Heydar bin Asad The serpent screeches in pain as the ray of fire catches it in the side. It glares down at Heydar, and it almost looks like it's smiling at him. It slides along the branches, chasing the halfling.
Reonnyn You manage to to pierce the hide of another one, drawing a copius amount of blood from the big lizard.
Selyne, Dao, Jimpy! You are up! Closing in on the site of the commotion, you manage to see what looks like a halfling fighting several lizards as large as himself. Two already lay on the ground dead, and one has just been wounded badly. The halfling himslef is covered in something clear and green. You are 20ft away, and the dinos don't know you are here(busy trying to take down Reonnyn at the moment). You've got a surprise round, and then you need to roll initiative.
In a flash of movenent Dao races across the intervening distance, Launching herself into a leap that brings her knee brutally forward into the head of one of the other lizards.
Oh look at that, the cavalry is here! Pretty good news, i'd say. Especially the babes, he he. Too bad they aren't a little...is that a halfling??? Wonder what he got sent here before, man, I don't like the look in his eyes, it reminds me of...of me!
Sorry for my absence, but Heydar's cussing really upset me! XD
Selyne, Jimpy, Dao. Roll Initiative so I can describe stuff a bit more accurately. For now, I'll just describe things as they were posted. If you would prefer the order posted to be the order you guys "go" in, I'm okay with that.
Guys fighting the lizards. Surprised, the lizard can't dodge Dao's attack, and it falls limpy to the ground from the force of the knee connecting with it's head. Alas, Selyne isn't as lucky, and her javelin mearly bounces of a lizard's scaled leg. Jimpy's magic is another matter though, as he manages to drop one before it even saw the light flying at it.
Startled by the new arrivals, the two remaining lizards start making strange squawking sounds. Four more lizards, slightly larger and older looking come out of the undergrowth and attack. None of them manage to cause any injuries though.
Selyne, you actually just missed, but some creatures have natural armor for a reason.. flavor-text! So don't worry, they don't have dmamge reduction. As for the new lizards joining in, they were just letting the young ones hunt on their own to see if they could.
Heydar's Turn Your spell bites into the serpent, but it only hisses in pain and keeps going. What is strange though, is that the spell didn't seem to hurt it as much as it should have...
Frowning at her rather laughable throw at what she hopes is the awaiting dinner, Selyne flexes her arm, causing her whip to unwind and swing free.

To figure out how many more 'reinforcements' are going to come to better get an idea on our numbers versus theirs.
No worries, oh DM. Descriptive narrative is always good. Also I do believe we have lost the poster/player of Tsu, which is both sad but opens up the way for another to join our fun.
Aww crap, they got older brothers and or sisters. Hmm can't tell'em apart, and don't really wanna try. Well, gotta fool these patsies into thinkin' I'm a rogue, cause everyone loves a rogue, he he.
"Hey, let me flank with you, then I can hamstring these lizards!
Move to flank w/Dao one of the bigger lizards, taking a 5' step, but will move more if necessary.
Siing the man they are rescuing handle one of the beasts effectively, Dao turns to another striking out with an elbow/kick combination that drives the creature back with a force surprising from one her size.
Ow, man that sucks. Sorry about the posting, but if that's how you feel... free loot for everyone else! See how I turned a bad situation around? Well, thanks for playing anyway, hope we can play on better terms next time we meet.
Reonnyn Woe to the lizard who finds himself on the end of your blade, for you have dropped another one!
Dao As you slam into the small reptile, it goes flying through the air to slam into a tree, where it crumples to the ground.
Selyne The last lizard left notices it is now out numbered, and tries it's best to flee... right within reach of your whip. AoO. You'll more than likely drop it. So.. A quick whip-lash and the lizard falls, the life leaving it's eyes. A quick search reveals no more of them, in hiding or not.
The six younger dinos weigh in at 19 lbs each, while the four adults are at 30. Is that enough food?
Reonnyn wipes the lizard ichor off his blade, while calling on the dark abyssal powers to increase his likeability use invocation Beguiling Influence.
He then turns to the ladies and says, "Wow, gee thank you for saving my life! I don't know how much longer I could have held out against those nasty lizards."
He throws on his most charming smile, "My name is Reonnyn, pleased to meet you!"

Yes, yes that sounds like a good amount of meat for people. Assuming we can carve enough off and ferry it back 'the others' with out too much hassle. Yay for loot, though it is unfortunate that the player seems to have left on such possibly sour terms. I, for one, am okay with the post rate as my work amounts go from "Lots, right now! There is no free time!" to "Nothing for a few days..." So, a slower post rate is better for me. So, a little bit of information we should add to the 'recruitment thread', perhaps?
Selyne grins at her fiends and this possibly new companion,
"Quick, we butcher the meat and flee before some of the larger carnivores come!"

Um, did Heydar pass away close enough for our group to notice him? Spot Check:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
"Quickly, gather the belongings from the fallen." She remarks, arms covered in blood from her carving and slicing of the still warm Dino's. "We should let no windfall escape!" She adds, possibly sounding rather grim, covered in the butchery of harvesting as she is.
"Hey! You're properly sized and that guy just shot himself then cut his own throat open! Is that a new way to say hello? Does he want to be reincarnated as a badger, 'cause I like badgers and they're fun to be around and a badger that could fire bolts of fire would be awesome and fun and probably taste like chicken cause most things taste like chicken except children who taste like young chicken!"
Reonnyn walks over to the corpse of Heydar, noting the man's dress.
Hmm this guy sounds like he was one of the people who trapped me on this rock. Good riddance to him, but he could have told me who set me up before he up and died on me.
Replying to Jimpy, "I guess he didn't like the price of taking tours of this island paradise, he he. So, gotta name, or will I have to call you Sir Talksalot?"
Dao takes in the scene after the battle silently, watching as Selyne skins the creatures. Shhe looks at the two men, as they exchange....pleasantries attempting to gain some insight into them.
Reonnyn notices the attractive woman studying him, and gives her a wink.
I never played you could use Bluff on other players, but I will make an exception in this case, he he. Feel free to disregard the results if you want, he he.

Last night I was wondering "What happened to that Prisoner's game?" Then in another thread I saw something posted by DB3's Celestrial Avatar or something and thought, "Hey, that looks familier." So I clicked on it, and saw it was you and have been posting a bunch this week even though you haven't been advancing this pbp, so me and the 3/5's bottle of Blackberry wine decided to say "Screw it, I'll do a suicide post." I figured this game died again. I hope it was entertaining and I will probably click on this thread when I see it cuz I got the dots. Good luck getting off the island.
Ah well, I do hope we shall be entertaining to your reading. Best wishes and perhaps we may coax you back some time?
It isn't like there is no way to come back from the dead or anything like that stopping you... Or like there's a merchant that will buy your stuff... ;)

Wait? Who said anything about getting off the island? ;)
Selyne, I think you're old enough now for this talk. You see when a person doesn't a certain place...
Leaning conversationally over to the other halfling, Jimpy smiles. "I'd go through his stuff too, but I already have a lucky human toe." He reaches into his pocket and pulls out something that could be a large shriveled toe or it could be an overly large raisin. Jimpy looks at it lovingly then tucks it away.
No worries, I'll just say you can get it all without trouble.
As you all start to carry the freshly cleaned meat back to the cave, you see a light flaring up in front of it. It seems the mystery man has started a fire. He greets you as you enter the firelight.
"Hello again. It looks like you were successful in stopping whatever was happening, and brought a new company back too!"
He extends a hand to Reonnyn.
"And what might your name be?"
Selyne wastes no time with idle pleasantries, but quickly sets about cutting branches, gathering large leaves, sorting the cuts into those that can be roasted now as opposed to those that need to be trimmed and smoked/preserved for later. Even as she sharpens the wooden stakes upon which to cook the meat, she is pointing out which trees, bushes and nearby root type plants will have tubers, berries and other assorted 'Bush fruit' to add to the coming meal.

So, from posting bugger all to suddenly posting in a flurry. Ah well, can't judge 'em all.
