I took a surge and am now back to full health. Although I am down to 6 surges left for tonight. I suppose that'll be enough hopefully... :D

Only used encounter powers, good to go!

Terza recovers and groggily says, "This has to end. Please."

"That is our intention."

Akahale bows politely to the half-elf.

"If I may make a request of you? I should be grateful if you would deliver this notebook to Elder Hammerwing of Drachenholme in the event of my demise. It contains much that will interest him."

If Terza agrees, he hands over the precious notebook filled with information in his distinctive shorthand. Unfortunately, it would be unintelligible to anyone other than a dragonborn.

He's got another notebook, but that one isn't finished yet.

Terza nods grimly.

Some 25 feet below, the wrathful sea pounds against unyielding stone. Between the two, the territory over which they battle, is a tiny stretch of rocky beach. Every few moments, it vanishes briefly beneath the
waves, only to reappear.

DC 20 Athletics check to climb down the cliffs.

Athletics 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31

Can we use ropes?

yes please! Acrobatics and Manny don't go very well together! ;)

Akahale isn't a whole lot better and my pcs have a poor record with natural hazards in Fabes's games.

"IT has rope. And pitons."

Seram makes his way down the cliffs like a very butch, angry monkey.

DC 15 if you use ropes. You only fall if you fail by 5 or more.

Even with the help of IT's pitons, Akahale makes a hash of clambering down the cliff.

1d20+6=12 - Athletics to get down the cliff. Or not.

You stay where you are. Roll again. Still need Athletics from Grafire, IT, and Manny as well.

Athletics with climbing kit: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 11 + 2 = 17

Grafire aproaches learily to the ropes. "This Dragonborn aint to fond of climbing. He huffs and puffs But here we go."

Huffing and puffing, Grafire joins his burly comrade on the small beach. IT joins them shortly after.

Does Athletics use Str or Dex? I don't have the skill, but at least I have a little Dex bonus

(Since he made it, he is of course suddenly an expert!) ;P

"Mage Mandrake, it is my other left that is causing me problems."

Akahale looks slightly panicked. He fears no shrimp, but the cliff is suddenly seeming like a much greater foe.

"Ah yes my fellow dragonborn, we are not built to be climbing things. Much like a shrimp out of water. But you'll get it."

"JUMBO shrimp. An oxymoron. Like 'Military Intelligence'." Manny says sagely, cowering behind the broad back of Grafire.

"It is a nightmare from my hatchling days. An abomination."

"Lightly roasted with some tartar sauce, and I'm sure it'll taste fine!"

It is indeed Akahale's greatest nightmare, a monstrous mix of humanoid, crustacean, fish and insect, wading forth to destroy you.

"I'm starting to like this place. The sea food delivers itself!"
