Figurine of the Ivory Champion

Though she thought for sure she missed the thing, Suny did hit the kobold. It falls to the ground.

1d8 ⇒ 4

A moment latter Gandel finishes disabling the trap.

Figurine of the Ivory Champion

So, just to clarify the kobolds are dead, Gandel finished disabling the trap (of course he could've messed up, you don't know) and now we're in "exploration mode" again. I would just assume you move into the room, but I don't want to do that because it would be kind of lame to have you fall in the trap because I had you move into the room without you're approval.

Trinia Sabor

Dang an' bugerit! Missed yer postin' there.

"Heh, pegged th' lil' bugger!" Suny chortles, though she doesn't slow in her re-loading. Seeing no more movement from the now perforated Kobolds, Suny stands slowly.

"Aye, an' that went well." She muses quietly. "Did any one see if'n they pilled a maids cord?" She inquires. "We don't want some un else turnin' up afore we's ready t' be greetin' 'em now, do we?" She winks to Gandel.

"Hey an' I don't think we've been properly introduced!" She kneels back down and offers a hand towards the Gnome. "Th' name be Suny, by th' by, an' nice it is t' be meetin' ye." ^_^

While waiting for the Gnome's reply she looks to Thorn and Sesina, as the new woman says,

Sesinia wrote:

"Nice shooting ladies. Let's move on in." Sesinia congratulates the group with a quick grin and a nod.

"Who wants to go first? Suny?"

"Well, if'n the sides o' th' pit are close enough t' the edges o' th' door, we c'n jst sort o' take a good step over the corner. Kind o' like workin' yer way around th' lubbers hole on'a mast." ^_^ The blond haired, brown skinned Elf grins cheerfully at her suggestion.

"Aye, an' sure'n I'd be happy t' be showin' ye lander folk 'ow t'is done!" ^_^

An' dang an' bugger me editin' bein' so slow!

Wen Histani

"Nice shooting ladies. Let's move on in." Sesinia congratulates the group with a quick grin and a nod.

"Who wants to go first? Suny?" Sesinia inquires with a glance at Suny.

Lini

"Thanks.....Ungh," Thorn grunts as she plucks an arrow from her thigh. While not a deep wound, the projectile clearly hurt.

"Yes, we should move in quickly before any that ran get a chance to regroup."

She crouches down next to the gnome, returning his grin as she looks at the pit trying to see the best way in.

Figurine of the Ivory Champion

The group is able to circumvent the pit trap without incident. The room beyond is simple, with few furnishings. The most obvious is a large tapestry to you're right, depicting a battle between gnomes and kobolds. In addition to the table you saw before, which has four chairs around it, there is a cabinet. There is a set of doors across from you and a corridor to the left.

Trinia Sabor

Suny wastes no time in checking the bodies of their enemies for anything useful that will further the groups advance into the dungeon. She hums happily to herself in Elvish,

Spoiler:
"Loot an' pillage, Take an' hold. Loot an' pillage, look fer gold!"

Spot Chyeck:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

^_^

Wen Histani

"Aye Gandel, would you like to check out the cabinet?"

Figurine of the Ivory Champion

Each of the kobolds has leather armor, a spear and a sling. They also have some silver pieces, twenty-one in all. In the cabinet there is some kind of beverage and a few more candles.

Suny takes note of the weapons and other found stuff.

"Ooo! We c'n be usin' th' Ko-boily's spears fer javelins, or some such." ^_^ "Least ways there's lots'a stones fer folks t' be throwin' back at the lil' rascals." She winks at Thorn, "Th' lil;' buggers c'n be havin' some o' their own medicine back, hey?" Suny takes up a 'small' spear, sliding it into her pack.

Suny takes up a guarding stance at the rooms other door, loading and hefting her x-bow.

Getting ready to move along. The money spoils can be held by who ever. Not fussed about that lot at the moment. ^_^

Wen Histani

Sesinia grabs the beverage from the cabinet and studies it for a few minutes.

Cast Detect Magic and using Spellcraft to identify 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

Figurine of the Ivory Champion

The liquid appears to be some kind of alcoholic beverage. It appears to have no magical properties.

Wen Histani

"Ack, just some nasty Kobold brew. We best get moving." Sesinia announces as she sets the container back in the cabinet. She then walks over by Suny and prepares for the next room.

Trinia Sabor
Sesinia wrote:

Noting Sesina's comment, Suny's ear pick up (Not sure if Elven ears can actually move?)

"Ooo, hey there! Ye c'n bring it over here, we's c'n stuff a sock in'a end an' have a nice warm surprise ready t' be lit on fer any more Ko-boilies!" ^_^ She suggests with her still cheery grin. Suny keeps an 'ear' towards the door as she waits for Gandel and Thorn to also ready themselves.

Perception Check:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

Figurine of the Ivory Champion

Suny does not hear anything on the other side of the door.

Haven't heard much from Thorn or Gandel recently. I thought it was just that they were busy with Thanksgiving, but that seems less likely as time goes on...

Gandel (Male Halfling Bard (Archivist) 5 / Pathfinder Delver 2)

Lem

Sorry, between work and Thanksgiving and now work again, I haven't had a chance to post in over a week. I should have a post up later tonight, after I get the kids to bed. Thanks for your patience!

As the trap mechanism makes a slight "clunk" (which hopefully means that it is now disabled), Gandel snaps out of his reverie of turkey, cranberry sauce, candied yams, and pumpkin pie all served by - and on - nubile young women. Glancing up, he takes in the scene of devastated kobolds.

Suny wrote:

"The pleasure is all mine, gorgeous!" the wily gnome says with a wink and a grin as he takes the young elf's hand and gives it a kiss. "That was some fancy shooting back there."

lordzack wrote:

Gandel eyes the tapestry critically before moving to listen at the corridor (Perception check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24) and at the set of doors ((Perception check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24) while the ladies search the room. The gnome lends a hand with the search when asked, and pockets the alcoholic beverage if none of the others take it. He also takes a spear and sling (any bullets?) before joining the others at the door.

Figurine of the Ivory Champion

Gandel hears the sounds of some kind of animal down the corridor. He is not able to hear anything at the doors. There are ten sling bullets on the kobolds.

Lini

Thorn nocks another arrow as sh slowly proceds down the hallway.

Wen Histani

Sesinia stealthily follows Thorn down the hallway paying attention for signs of danger.

Stealth 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 Perception 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21

Figurine of the Ivory Champion

The hallway turns to the right and eventually opens up into a room with a big pit bisecting it. The animal sounds come from the pit in which three reptilian creatures. These creatures are mock fighting, but they stop when you enter. You can see an opening in the side of the pit, presumably some kind of den for the creatures.

Thorn recognizes the creatures as a variety of drake. This particular variety is known for being used as guards by kobolds and other creatures.

Wen Histani

"How dangerous are these creatures Thorn?" Sesinia asks, getting ready to turn back and head to the previous room.

Trinia Sabor

Suny watches the door, then as Thorn and Sesina creep away she simply shrugs and grins to Gandel as she quietly creeps after the other two women, coming to a halt some few feet behind them and turning to cover their 'rear'.

Sorry, um, has the 'room map' picture been updates? Which corridor has Thorn snuck down? ^^; T's a wonderful piece of work, btw Sesina ^_^

Wen Histani

Updated Map

I believe this is the basic look

Trinia Sabor

Suny is completely in awe at the display of magic that Sesinia can conjure. ^_^

You should teach me how to do that... The map looks good, pretty accurate.

Go to Google Docs, sign in if you have a google account and you should be able to create docs from there. I use the spreadsheet. It's all formatting from there, then I use the Go To BBCode tag to link it. Let me know if you have any questions.

Suny crouches beside Gandel.

"So, d'ye think th' rest o' th' lil' buggers 'll be a tougher tussle?" She whispers to the Gnome her x-bow held at the ready over one knee as she crouches beside him.

Figurine of the Ivory Champion

The beasts begin to head to they're den. Roll for initiative if you want to attack them.

Thorn recalls that these beasts are individually stronger than they're kobold masters, but are especially deadly in a group.

Wen Histani

Sesinia looks at the beasts inquisitively. "Do we want to attack them? We may have no other choice if we want to get through."

Gandel is such a perve ;)

Lini

"I'm sure we could handle them individually, but almost even numbers would be a mistake, unless we had no choice."

Trinia Sabor
Thorn Silverleaf wrote:

Suny frowns,

"Um, Thorn? If'n we leave th' critters here, whut's t' stop th' ko-boilies from puttin' 'em on a leash an' attackin' us with 'em?" She twists and turns to look over a shoulder to see the other 'Elfs' expression.

"Or is 'ere a way t' just let 'em go in't th' wild so's we dun't have t' worry about 'em?" Suny looks hopeful for a resolution either way.

Wen Histani

"I will say, if we are in doubt about the creatures, we should kill them." Sesinia looks at Suny and Thorn waiting for their response.

lordzack wrote:

Gandel begins to look nervous as he watches the drakes retreat. "Do you think they might be off to tell the other kobs that we're here?" the gnome asks as he raises his crossbow to his shoulder and sights towards the retreating drakes, waiting for one of the ladies to give the word to fire.

As the Gnome and the Human begin their attack, Suny looks to Thorn with a raised eyebrow and a quirk on her lips,

"Aye, well, 'In fer a copper, in fer a crown'." She waxes philosophical, raising her own x-bow and shooting at the creature that Gandel has let fly at.

Sesinia (21)
Suny (18)
Thorn (16)

Gandel hits one of the drakes. It continues on and the drakes reach they're den, which provides them cover. Sesinia's attack hits the wall of the den. Suny's attack misses entirely, but Thorn hits one, wounding it severely.

Wen Histani

How deep is the pit they are in that is bisecting the room?

Figurine of the Ivory Champion

Ten feet deep.

Gandel (Male Halfling Bard (Archivist) 5 / Pathfinder Delver 2)

Lem

Gandel reloads his crossbow as he critically eyes the opening through which the drakes retreated.

"Well, ladies?" he asks with a wry grin, "shall we go a-drake hunting?"

Lini

"I don't really make a habit at shooting at anything I don't mean to kill so..."

Thorn nocks another arrow.

Trinia Sabor

With semi-grim determination Suny resets her x-bow, her tongue poking from the side of her mouth, lays in another bolt and then begins to fiddle with the expensive sights atop the weapon.

"I dun't know about th' killin' part, but just hittin' the darn things 'd be doin' me right fine." She grumbles crossly as she adjust things some more. Kneeling she aims down into the pit.

"Okeys, whut d' peoplz think th' critters is likely t' do if'n we jump down in't their play pen? T'is not lookin' like the best a odds t' me." She lets her thoughts be known.

Sorry fer such a quick/small post. No real ideas, but I'm c@cked, locked and ready t' rock! ^_^

Figurine of the Ivory Champion

The drakes begin to howl loudly. There is a chance they might attract attention from they're kobold masters.

Wen Histani

Sesinia shoots a missile of pure force at the injured drake, knowing this spell strikes true if she can see the creature. "I only have enough energy for a few more spells of this magnitude. We must hurry and dispatch of these creatures before they warn the whole place."
