"We are less then 2 minutes out. That's Tibannopolis control, so it looks like the city is under attack."

"Roger that", says Corine as she moves next to the airspeeders door, crouching down with her heavy blaster rifle at the ready. "I'll cover if the LZ is hot."

Corine will keep a look out for any hostiles as we make our approach.

Upholstering his blaster, Dokal takes up a position next to Corine. "Get us near a location with computer access, somewhat defensible. Once a path is made Zip and I'll see if we can't persuade the local network systems to provide with some information; if we can stay in contact, I'll relay anything relevant we find."

Turning to his droid, the nautolan gives it some brief instructions. "You're to stay out of sight until we clear the way to an access point. Keep moving, gather any information you can, and hurry back when I call."

As the speeder circles the city you can see the full scope of the battle. Severa shuttles have landed and the Jedi are locked in battle with stormtroopers and another group of force wielders who use red lightsabers. From what you can see the enemy force wielders all wear a sort of black armor that appears to be a stylized version of Darth Vader's suit. Master Kiturn spots a clearing and sets the speeder down but the enemy quickly spots your position and sends forces to attack.

Not seeing any obvious droids, Narmin will draw a blaster pistol and bring one of his frag grenades into his free hand. He looks to the others, trying to spot some good cover and plan things out. "Good, Jedi you handle the force users as best you can. We will ensure the troopers cannot overwhelm you and then we will be aiding you, hopefully with the rest of the jedi at our backs."

While we are about to land, can I open the airspeeders door and fire off a shot at any targets I see? I'm thinking something along the lines of a helicoptor door gunner. If not thats cool too :)

There are several crates and drums laying about that can be used for either cover or concealment.

Oops, missed that.

The speeder bucks slightly as Kiturn brings it toward the clearing. The small jolt goes unnoticed by most, but catches Dokal by surprise and sends him falling back in a heap on the vehicle's floor. The nautolan lets loose several curses in his native tongue as he begins the task of picking himself up.

Point of clarification: Have we landed or are we in the process of landing?

You were landing last round, you are now landed.

    DM Dave wrote:

Dave - Any objections to everyone on the team that acts before the stormtroopers goes now while we wait for Tobler?

    (Gungan Scout 2/Scoundral 1)

Sorry, missed that the dark jedi went.

Tobler jumps out of the speeder, heads for cover, and fires at the stormtroopers.

    Moving out to something I could use for cover, and firing at the stormtroopers: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

    3d8 ⇒ (8, 7, 6) = 21

    (Male Ithorian Noble 1/Jedi 2)

Moma quickly exits the speeder and seeks the cover of the nearby crates. He then reaches out with the Force and grasps the crate the dark Jedi are using for cover. He attempts to whip the crate at one (or both, if possible) Jedi - teaching them that the dark side is not the correct path and robbing them of cover at the same time.

    Move Object: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31

Roll of 31 equates to an object up to Gargantuan size and 8d6 damage

    Damage from object: 8d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 5, 1, 6, 5, 6, 4) = 31

NOTE: My goal is to maintain concentration on the object for next round.

Yea David, for what its worth I'm having a good time playing, post when you can :)

I know we are waiting for Cordal, but I am going to post my action now so we can keep things progressing once he does.

Narmin hops out of the speeder as soon as it lands, taking cover behind its corner and firing out towards the nearest stormtrooper with his carbine.

    1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 Attack
    3d8 + 2 ⇒ (3, 7, 4) + 2 = 16 Damage

Assuming close range. -1 on attack and damage if not.

Using her heavy blaster rifle, Corine fires off another shot at the Stormtroopers, holding her position in the airspeeder.

    +8 vs Refl,1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25 Damage: 3d10 + 4 ⇒ (6, 4, 1) + 4 = 15

    (Male Ithorian Noble 1/Jedi 2)

Reaches out with the Force to poke and prod Mhoy.

Perhaps he is tied up with the Paizo Superstar contest.

Mhoy leaps off the speeder, igniting his lightsaber as he goes. He moves toward the enemy Jedi and calls out: "Greetings, neighbors! Welcome to our humble training facility! Is there something we can help you with?"

The two dark jedi look slightly confused by Cordal's greeting. Narmin'Tier's shot hits a storage barrel and bounces away from the stormtroopers, but Corine manages anothr stunning shot and another stormtrooper goes down. The remaining stormtrooper opens fire at Cordal 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20 and slams a bolt into his shoulder. 3d8 ⇒ (6, 3, 6) = 15 damage.

    Dokal is up.
    Dark Jedi
    Tobler

Having recovered from his fall in the speeder, Dokal joins his comrades on ground. Taking the most ready source of cover, he takes a shot at the last stormtrooper with his blaster pistol.

Dokal drops the last Stormtrooper, while the standing Dark Jedi rushes the Doc and slashes at him with his lightsaber. 16 damage Doc The other Drk Jedi pulls himself together and rushes Cordal, but being smaked in the head with a shipping crate seems to have effected him more than he let on because he swings wide and misses.

When the Dark Jedi's lightsaber arcs to strike Moma, his heightened connection to the Force activates a barrier, stopping the blade just before it hits.

    Force shield "Use the Force" check:1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25

A 25 skill check results in a Shield Rating of 15. SR is found on page 161 of the core rulebook. The Force Shield power is found in the Force Unleashed book on page 86 and acts as a Reaction. This blocks all but 1 point of damage and reduces the shield rating to 10, which cannot be recharged like a droids SR. It takes a Standard action if I want to maintain this power. It is a Telekinetic power so it works with my Telekinetic Savant talent per the Core Rulebook errata.

Does maintaining/using a Force power like Move Object provoke an Attack of Opportunity if I am engaged in melee?

Good to have you back, Dokal :), hope you're feeling better.

    (Gungan Scout 2/Scoundral 1)

Toblar carefully lines up a shot at the nearest dark jedi, then shoots.

Two swift actions to aim at the dark jedi(hopefully taking away his bonus from being behind the jedi), and Precise Shot takes away the melee penalty. Attack(+1 if within 30 feet): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

    3d8 ⇒ (1, 7, 1) = 9
