Bandle's shurikens pierce the throat of another gnoll as it raises its mouth to cry out in pain. He joins Lord Flash's kill on the ground in front of the burning tent.
Your turn guys. Killing these four should be no problem but then the question is what are you going to do next?
Tallis steps forward and rapidly strikes at the gnolls.
Flurry of Blows: 1d20+5;1d6+2;1d20+5;1d6+2
One gnoll starts to panic from the flames and fighting and begins to spin around as if the wind will blow the flames out. Tallis hits him so hard in the spine that you hear a "tok" and the gnoll collapses and quivers on the ground.
"I guess they won't be biting the hand that feeds or be bad dogs anymore" Bandle burbles softly with a bit of a crease in his brow.
"phew!" he says pinching his nose. he then gets in a strange sort of crouch and starts making his way down towards the abandoned village. He seems to creep from brush to rock and gully to outcrop.
Lord looks around at the burning bodies and smiles.
"Should we go back to the bell tower and wait for them to send up a party to see what happened first? That way we could take out some more of them before they become too suspicious and send up a whole bunch. Of course, they could just send a whole bunch to start with..."
"I suspect that Gnolls make good trackers. Whatever we do, let us do it quickly."
How many exits from the area? Back the way we came and further up the mountain trail or could we find a path to circle back around to the camp by a different route?
I thought we were going to all sneak off and make the cattle stampede like the crazy general recommended then get the heck out of here. I'm sure me and Flash could hold the tower while you two did something or other, but it would probably be a pain to get out once we have half the camp crammed in here trying to kill us.

The easiest ways in or out are (1) the trail which obviously connects with the trail you took earlier but won't put you anywhere near the cattle unless you want to swim again, or (2) down through the bell chamber, mortuary, and tunnel -- the way you came in. You could also scale down the cliff into the town or into the gnoll encampment. You would be visible to all the gnolls.
The yapping and yelping of gnolls makes it clear they have noticed the smoke. It comes from both down the trail and from the encampment.
in that case, I think we should go back down the bell tower and come back around while they are up top. We could crack open the other ossuaries when the gnolls arrive and leave them to fight the undead while we sneak back and stampede the cattle before amscraying. Does this make any sense?
I think we should watch to see how many investigate before scoffering off. If there's not too many maybe we can take them. Will the bell fit thru the opening in the floor?
Bandle scans the scene below for pursuit.
"Funny, the smoke looks kind of like an Ogre's cook fire from here...all it needs is a big stew pot"
Bandle examines the bell as if he thinks it might make a good stew pot.
"I'll be waiting until they get inside here before I close ranks behind them and cut off their escape from our slaughter of those lawless dogs," Lord says as he grips both his Kama tightly.
Four gnolls arrive and investigate the slaughter yipping loudly. They easily trace your path back to the bell tower but seem reticent to make a move on the tower. They wait.
Lord looks down a t Jackie and shrugs. "I can't say that I've ever had reason to try... I don't know maybe just whimper like a dog?"
I think I'd accept a bluff check or a linguistics check to convince the gnolls that another gnoll was making the noise. You've certainly had enough contact with the gnolls to give it a shot.

lol Bluff -2... yeah, not gonna happen from my end 'o things. ;)
"I make that sound very time Flash talks to me, but mostly we gomes hold it inside. I think it would be more practical if I made a sound like th burning beastmen did."
I thought we were up in the Bell Chamber, hiding until they came in? If not, where are we exactly?
I thought you were in the mortuary -- the large chamber below the bell chamber. ... Ooops, okay, I see where I went wrong. Anyways, they remain at a distance then, so they'll be above the bell chamber, on the ladder or curved roof, refusing to get close to the "sick goblin."
Time passes. The gnolls yap and whine, trying to demoralize you, for a quarter of an hour. Suddenly, their barking turns to excited growls and yips as reinforcements arrive. The deep, growling yaps of one gnoll urge the others forward. They climb the ladder, clamber on the bell tower roof, and prepare to drop in through the hole.
Roll for initiative. Beat 6 to post first action as the first gnoll drops through the hole prepared to attack.
"They brought a ladder. Great." Tallis reaches into his pack and drinks a potion as the gnolls scramble onto the roof, then looks at the vial appraisingly.
How much damage would just hurling a vial at someone do? If it's not that much, I'm just going to throw some acid at the hole. Also, is the hole down to the lower level open? The one that may or may not be directly under the hole they're jumping in from?

There was a ladder before.
The vial would not do much damage. There is a hole down to the lower level open. The bell chain hangs down from it. It is not directly underneath the hole they are climbing through.
Lord looks up at the hole and drops one of his Kama, reaching into one of the sacks tied to his legs and drawing out a Tanglefoot Bag. He lines up the hole and throws the bag upwards at the edge, hoping to gum up the entrance.
Throw Tanglefoot Bag at the edge of the hole in the roof (Ranged Touch Attack):1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 5 - 2 = 5 *sigh* Of course... Who did I hit? :/

The first gnoll sees the mess Lord Flash has made of LJ and decides to drag the ball of squirming, sticky goo and throw it down the hole. He leaps on Jakie but finds himself somewhat stuck as well.
LJ must make a DC 15 reflex save or be glued to the floor. As the gnoll grabbed the stickiness before it dried, he'll have to make a strength check to avoid going down the hole with you if he gets you that far. He still has to succeed on subsequent grapple checks to drag you to the hole. That would be more difficult if you were stuck to the ground. Oh! The possibilities!
