Toxim takes a moment to consider their offer.
"I suppose eighteen thousand gold is acceptable. How soon can you inspect her and transfer the money? We have places we'd like to get to." Toxim orders a drink.
Ideally, we can be done with this business in a few days.
Guard silently follows them all in the inn, casually detecting evil along the way. He suspects the hobgoblins to be just that, but is just curious for now and doesn't want to spoil the deal.
If they in fact show up as evil, he will be a tad more careful around them.
In the inn, Guard will order a tankard of ale as well, drinking slowly but steadily, then order something a bit stronger (though it all has no effect on him anyway).
Snem keeps hovering over the warforgeds head, but tries to keep out of sight and also tries to get a feeling for the hobgoblins:
sense motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Captain Vaskleen, seems eager and honest. enough to you. You sense no malice so far.
Captain Vaskleen takes another swig of the Ale and fondles the backside of a dark haired topless human girl as she gets near. "Good, good 18 it is, pending inspection. I can have an inspection team over in the morning, unarmed of coarse. And the Fort has a Kundarak outpost. I can transfer the payment in certified KUndarak notes or cold hard coin."
Notes about House Kundarak will be in off topic
Karkalla
The young man does not seem to see you, and goes along his merry way. And heads toward the upper district. And small stone building standing there with a well tended garden and ruins etched into the stone. You stand before a small but well kept shrine of Dol Arrah, goddess of honor and sacrifice.
The man enters and you can't see more from outside, but it might be hard to enter unseen.
"That will do wonderfully." Toxim looks to Guard and Daurros for support of the deal and shakes the hobgoblins' hands to seal the deal.
After a couple of drinks Toxim will excuse himself. "I have to make sure the ship is ready for inspection and there's a certain lady who requires my attention. Captain, could you suggest an upscale inn where I might rent a room?" Once he gets an answer, Toxim will go to rent a room then return to prepare the Freedom's Wing and connect with Lirith.
Keeper, there's some loot that you never told me the value of.
- ivory wand [really a fan]-- Ardanto
- six turquoise gems
- a well made dagger
- a platinum bracelet
I don't recall where we got them from and I haven't yet searched back to find them. I was hoping you could tell me their value. Like, the ship, I've had ample time to appraise them.

I seem to remember finding the fan when I jumped down the well after the gibbering ooze, shortly after the gnome (why can I not remember his name suddenly?) got turned to stone. The fan is not for sale as Ardanto intends to keep it if we are heading to a jungle island, so subtract that from my total if you wish.
Ardanto scans the crowd, but as Daurros is inside the inn, he can not see him or Toxim. He turns to any of the crew that are nearby as they disembark and asks them to keep an eye open for Daurros and tell him he is needed back here urgently.
Ardanto returns to Finn, "no sign of Daurros, he has headed into the town, I'll have sent some crew to look for him, but it is like finding a needle in a haystack."
He leans against the bulk head, waiting for Finn to make a decision on the next coarse of action, he avoids looking at the elf, worried that she might be able to charm him with her gaze. But surreptitiously points the skull hanging from his belt at her so Cecil can keep an eye socket on her.
Has anyone given any thoughts on what to do about the Gnome statue?
Guard nods silently to Toxim and orders a round of whiskey (or equivalent) after sealing the deal by handshakes of Toxim and Vaskleen.
A short time later Guard packs his belongings again and makes his way towards the merchant and armory districts of Greenrock (telling Daurros and Toxim of his intents).
I haven't forgotten about Urol. We just need to get the money first.
I have it marked that you have the fan. I figured you (we) should still know how much it's worth.
The sever refills Daurros ale, giving him a wink as she does so "I am available if your interested" she says before moving off to the next table.
Once the deal has been sealed with Vaskleen, Daurros polishes off his second, very poor tasting ale, and prepares to take his leave. Thanking the hobgoblin captain, he leaves with Toxim and Guard, giving the server a quick slap on the rear as he leaves. "I've business to attend to, but may very well be back," he says nonchalantly.
Upon leaving the tavern, Daurros blinks in the sunlight and departs from Guard and Toxim, looking for evidence of arcane casters in town. Unless one of the crew manages to find him, after Ardanto sent them out, of course.
Seeker, are there any casters in town that may be willing to trade a few spells? I let them copy some I have and they don't, and vice versa? If not, Daurros just looks for a place he can acquire some scrolls once the ship payment has come through.
As for what to do about the gnome: Daurros would suggest a sunny spot in a garden in Farshore. Somewhere that the bright and colorful birds would be able to rest. Or else use as an anchor for the Sea Wyvern; never know when that might come in handy as a replacement.

If you're going to get some new spells, may I recommend Detect Thoughts?
"Not to worry, Ardanto. Our prisoner doesn't seem to be causing any problems. I suspect she's just touched in the head -- our saboteur has been pretty clever in hiding so far, so I don't know why he would show himself now. Although she's pretty well-armed for a madwoman..."
Duarros would be told all the casters in the town belong to the House Cannith enclave. As for the loot the dagger is a +1 dagger, the gems are 50 gp each, the fans 180 gp and the bracelet is 230 gp.
Karkalla does find a back way into the shrine, it seems to open up into the living space of whoever cares for the shrine, there is no crowds out front. In fact other then the "changling" you saw no one at all out front.
Daurros/Guard
You find your way toward the Cannith enclave, the same way Guard seems to be going. The enclave is large, taking up a large part of this district. and seems to be built right into the forts walls, like a fort inside the fort. Smoke bellows from many chimneys and the ringing on hammers can be heard from with in.
No one stops you at the "gate" and you walk into a small open yard, a dozen forges flank the open space, as well as a dozen set of stairs leading up and down, the place seems as busy as the docks.
A middle age balding man,Flanked by two large metal dogs approaches as you stand in the open yard. "Greetings, I am Archavol d' Cannith" He says with a small bow of his head "How may we be of service?"
If I have that right in my mind, someone of that house built Guard?
If not, disregard the first comments...
"Greetings to you too, and to the whole house Cannith that brought me into existence.
I am looking for some advice and knowledge."
Streching out a hand the warforged mentally asks Snem to float down and settle there, speaking forth: "Knowledge of Incarnum to be precise." Lets see that reaction...
Snem is curious of the man and his metal dogs as well, interested in how he reacts to one of 'his tools':
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Fathom wriggles around on the deck a bit to get comfortable in her present position. Given the strange state of her eyes it is hard to know if she is looking at either Finn or Ardanto or anything at all.
You have it correct, house Cannith did mass produce the warforged, Keep in mind we did change incarnum from what was in the book to something else.
The man raises an eyebrow at Guards words "Humm, Incarnum you say. No, Not off hand I do not. What prey tell would be your interest in this subject warforged?" He seems to be studying Guard, like one would an experiment doing something odd.
I thought of that, and therefore didn't speak much more of it as of now.
"I see. ... I would be interested in ... a bit of everything. Is there a sage or someone who would know more about it?
You see, I am able to harness and wield Incarnum, and my little friend here ... yeah, I don't exactly understand it myself... it can show me images or memories or something, but I don't really understand it all that good, having no mouth and all that.
These sandals and those bracers here? Incarnum as well..."
Guard trails off, looking at the man, hopeful.
Meanwhile Snem floats down to take a closer look at the dogs, pulsing in a bright blue sheen.
"Interesting, well we are a small outpost, but I do have access to a bit of lore and we have several artificers besides myself on staff. If your going to be in port for a few days I would be very interested in studying this "Incarnum" of yours."
Once he's done discussing with Guard, Daurros inquires as to the availability of spell scrolls, and also if any of the House mages might be willing to do a spell swap. "For instance, if I had a spell they wanted, and they had one I wanted, we could each copy the other's ..."
Archavol d' Cannith nods to Daurros questions " We have no Wizards of true power at the fort. However we do have a Artificers and a robust selection of scrolls. If we do not have a spell that strikes your fancy maybe one of our artificers can yet create the scroll you desire" He says with a small nod of his head.
Guard/ Daurros just what kind of things are you looking for? While artificers are not spellcasters they are pretty much magic item crafters without peer
Karkalla
As far as she knows it would not be odd for a worshiper to come into the shrine at all. Still wish to go though the back?
Guard is on the lookout for information. If all he might learn here is that he's the first known warforged to wield Incarnum, then so be it.
If they just want to study him and hold back with infos, he's not going to play along.
Guard is not too trusting, but if he gets to learn some things while they learn some things, he's going to help.
Ideally, but that depends on whether you want that to happen, there would be an Ironsoul Forgemaster around that shows Guard some tricks, gives him some insight, plays a bit of a mentor for the short time the group is in Greenrock.
Daurros was hoping for a wizard that might be willing to exchange unknown spell for unknown spell, but also just to find the place he can acquire some new spells for his book if that wasn't available. Looks like he found it. As soon as we get paid for the boat, and divide up the little bit of other loot we got, he'll be back to buy a few.
Guard there pretty much has never been another like you. So they will not know much. We could work in you somehow picking up crafting technical ability to bend magic from the artificer however and blending them into your own thing. Daurros, yeah they simply do not have many mages, lest none past level 2 at most. The artificers can craft pretty much any spell scroll you want however. They also buy and sell magic items and make to order. Just give me a list of what ya want.
Karkalla
You manage to slip into the back of the shrin, and into a small hall. Moving toward what you think would be the front you carefully creep along, hoping you are not spotted.
She looks into the room and sees it mostly empty, A bald man is kneeling by the shrine when the "human" man approaches and kneels as well. She can't make out what is being said but the "man" gets back up and walks toward the pews, you see him pick up a slip of paper as he leaves and you spot the bald man scoop a small object from the floor and raise. He waits a little while then leaves out the front himself.
The bald man does not seem to notice Karkalla as she tails him and he makes his way toward one of the nicer homes within the Forts Upper distinct. No one seems to be outside, but every window in the Home seems to be well shuttered.
Karkalla pauses for a few seconds before deciding to have a quick look around outside (and maybe a peep through the windows assuming she can find one she can see through
The two sotry home seems to be at the end of the lane, with its back wall built flush with the forts wall. You see one other side entrance, and a large cellar also. The cellar have a rusted but well made iron doors. And every window seems not only shuttered but to have very tick curtains inside, blocking all view. You hear no sound from inside.
Karkalla, normally ya would need to make a roll each time she shifted form, but as ya used an AP and rolled a 20, eh good enough
Karkalla manages though an an epic act of tracker to track the changling back to the fine inn, in what must have been at lest 5 changes of form. But as far as she can tell the trail stops at the Inn. The Inn seems crowded now, much more so then the last time but you see no sign of any of the changelings forms. Unless ya would like to try to sneak upstairs
Toxim
The Hobgoblins arrive not an hour after the meeting with Captain Vaskleen the crew seems very uneasy allowing the three Hobgoblins aboard and Toxim is forced to escort them with a few Members of the Nixies crew on the inspection. After a trying 2 hours The Hobgoblin nods "Ships is in fine shape, You may retrieve your funds from the keep in the morning. Make sure the rabble is off the ship as we shall claim the vessel and all on it as soon as you receive payment
Seeker, I still need to know how many were on the Freedom's Wing. I'd like to give each of them 100 GP to start there new lives with. Perhaps we could give a little bonus to the crews on the Nixie and the Sea Wyvern as well. There's supplies to be purchased and the rest will be split among the Millenium Falcons.
Finn is still keeping guard over the close-mouthed elven prisoner.
Spoiler:
'Closed mouthed' ?. Why I been answerin' every question dat's been put to me! (^_~) I can't be helpin' t'ings, what wit you don't be knowin' de right questions. :P
That would be 15,400 of our 18000 gp to the slaves. No offense to Toxim, but Daurros is more thinking along the lines of 5-10gp per slave. 100 is way too much, in his opinion.
Ardanto risks a glance at the elven woman, a little intrigued by her milky eyes, "Right then m'lovely, I am Captain Ardanto Valanto and I am a wondering what ya are doin' aboard my ship and below decks?" He slips on his pirate captain accent as he speaks, even though the elven woman has heard him speak previously. He still holds the skull in one hand and points it at he as he speaks.

I am glad you did the maths, Ardanto thinks the ungrateful [insert random swear word questioning their parentage] should be happy that they are alive and not being sold back to the hobgoblins, especially those on the second boat who two of us risked life and limb to rescue.
A trained hireling only gets 3sp per day and a poor inn with poor food would cost 3sp per day. So 10gp each would be more than generous, it takes a trained man a month to earn that, so I agree with you, 5 is a fair value each.
I also agree with Toxim that the crew should get a share, they did fight to capture the boat.
EDIT: Treasure discussion moved to the off topic thread.

...
Ok, no problem there.
Guard let's himself be guided to one of the artificiers and let's himself be inspected for about an hour, up until the point where he notices that his creators don't know jack about his abilities.
Staggered by that revelation, he takes his leave for now, needing to think of what that means for him.
He slowly makes his way back to the Wyvern, wandering through the districts of Greenrock, distracted by his own thoughts.
"Whut am I be doin' below your decks? How'm else am I to be gettin' on board den?" She replies "As for de why of t'ings? Well, who ken say about de whims o' de sea?"
Again Fathom shifts about, the better to get comfortable as she lays upon the hard wooden floor.
"Yes, yes, your 'purpose'," Finn says dismissively. "I'm sure it's very interesting that The Traveler tells you bits of the draconic prophecy through your false teeth."
Karalla waits to the clerk is busy ans dashes up the stairs, she finds herself In a long hall with another set of stairs going up to the third floor. She can make out nine doors on this floor with a right side bend at the halls far end. The doors are lined even four on each side with the nith being at the end of the hall.
Ok guards, deep in thought, Ardanto and Finn are talking to the intruder and Toxim has dealt with the Hobgoblins, anything else yall want to do ?

Fathom simply lays here she us been put upon the deck planks when she hears Finn's reply.

Karkalla begins to search for any clue of where the changeling went
Daurros will use his current existing funds to purchase a scroll of detect thoughts assuming House Cannith has one for sale. He'll also gather/purchase the necessary materials, once we get paid by the hobbos and Ardanto/Toxim give a loan, to construct an Aureon's Spellshard, then go back to the ship and begin preparations for creating it.
OK, going by the rules in Chapter 15, it's a DC 5 + caster level, for a DC of 12. However, I don't know secret page, so that's one prerequisite not met. In addition, I'm CL 6, so that's two. Meaning and additional +10, for a total of DC 22. Daurros has a Spellcraft modifier of +15, and I believe I can take 10, right? So if I take 10, I automatically succeed, with a 25. And it will take a little over 3 days to craft. Everything sound correct, there?
Karalla picks up what she thinks is the correct set of tracks leaning into the 3rds door on the left.
Ya know the market price for the shard is 6250 don't ya? And it would make that 6 days as that is the base price. Unless I am reading this incorrectly and ya you can take 10
Anyone else have any plans that day or that night?
Toxim will get a nice room for him and Lirith. He'll take her a nice piece of jewelry (at least 20GP in value) the same color as the dress she wore to the dinner on the Blue Nixie early in our voyage.
Ardanto scratches his head, puzzled, as he speaks to Finn, "well I'll be a gypsy's uncle if I know what to do with her, we can lock her in the Brig until Daurros returns or dump her on the docks."
