Hmm... according to the PRD, it is. It has a duration of "10min./lvl (D)" where the '(D)' stands for dismissible.

But if you want to keep it up as buffer, I got no problem with that (though I don't think that's necessary).

I stand corrected!

Daurros makes a wave of his hand, and the webs disappear.

Ok guys I have been just speeding though rooms as there are 29 rooms in all and doing a room by room search in what is basically 80% empty will take weeks in a pbp. So I have been hitting high light areas. Also as Guard can detect evil there is no need for a room by room search right now.

You start looking over the place Guard out in front as his ability to detect the bullywugs at range saves time from a room by room search. As Guard hits the main floor he stands and send out his feelers, he senses evil below you, most likely the basement. Moving toward it he also sweeps his sense around and he feels it again, across the court yard there it is again, More of the bullywugs await across the court yard. You all know the room Guard thinks they await in , most of you had dinner with Lavinia there

Ok do you want to clear this floor first or check down stairs?

I see no reason why we can't just get a narrative of the empty rooms/floors and move on to the exciting stuff. Let's not leave any behind us though.

I have not been saying what in the room unless it might be useful, like the weapons in the training room, as everything in the house belong to Lavinia, not much point in listing loot :)

Silently Guard notions to the others where he feels the evil ones lurking. He takes his time to get to know how many of them there are and shows the others the number with his fingers, pointing in the bullywugs general direction as they proceed.
The warforged intends to clean this floor first.

Map

Here is a map of the ground floor, I marked the bullywugs with red. As you can see you have 3 ways in that room so actions?

I'd vote: north double door. Guard takes three rounds to detect evil, getting the number and direction of the bullywugs, then the group storms in.
No splitting, for I would not know how to signal the attack to the other locations.

I agree with Guard. Also, do the stairs in that room go up or down?

Up to the kitchen on the 1st floor, which you guys cleared...Was not thinking and forgot it had a stair or ya guys may have heard them from there

(Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1)

I agree -- the double doors sound fine.

Well with 3 votes lets get this shin dig started shall we

As you swing the doors open you are greeted with a familiar room. It's a room of conformable chairs bookshelves, thick rugs and the now hated face of Vanthus Vandorborn hanging about the fireplace. Four bullywigs stand here with a large one sitting at the table smoking at a cigar, It points at you and says something in it's gruntal language and the four standing leap into action

Oops...I forgot to ask -- can Finn cast Enlarge Person on himself before they enter?

sure, you had the time. Heh, I have forgotten enough stuff myself of late. It happens

That cigar makes for a good target.

Atk: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15 Action Point: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Dmg: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
SA: 1d6 ⇒ 6 They're flat footed until their action!

And I'll spend another for an extra attack
Atk: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Dmg: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
SA: 1d6 ⇒ 6 They're flat footed until their action!

(Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1)

Now the size of an ogre, Finn uses the enormous 20' reach of his longspear to stab at the surprised bullywugs.

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 5) + 6 = 12

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 6) + 6 = 17

confirm critical: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
extra critical damage: 4d6 + 12 ⇒ (1, 2, 5, 6) + 12 = 26

Guard offers his Potion of Shield of Faith +2 to anyone wanting it, before opening the double door to the room.
He then waits for the bullywugs to act, as he is so damn slow, unlike Toxim with his Ini of 113!

It's my Shortbow +2 of Ludicrous Speeds. Sometimes you go first, but sometimes you go last.

(Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9)

Daurros groans a bit at the enlarged Finn and comments, "Next room, let me get closer to the front ... can't color spray these things with the lot of you in front of me!"

As such, he'll fall back to his standard practice of targeting the closest bullywug with a daze cantrip.

(Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1)

"Feel free to move in front of me, Daurros -- it's your neck you're risking. I can fight just fine from back here."

Finn wrote:

"No offense intended, friend. I just feel like a stage magician sitting back here casting my cantrips all day ..."

Ardanto bounces on the balls of his feet as he waits for the door to open, as soon as it swings open he rushes head long into the room trying to get next to the cigar smoking Bullywug.

I assume 30 foot is enough movement to get to him.

Longsword 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14

1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Action Point to improve to hit roll 1d6 ⇒ 2

Let us hope that 16 is good enough to hit him.

Thoven Lets fly an arrow at one of the bullywugs inside the room once he can get a clear shot

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Guard and Ardanto open the doors and step inside as Finn couches spear ready, his bulk filling the doorway, Daurros being the enlarged Finn dazes one of the frog men. Lavinia is unable to do much and waits in the back sword ready. Ardanto crosses the room hopping onto the table to strike at the smoking bullywug, his actions earn him a slam with a nearby bullywug club5hp His sword does however find the seated bullywugs flesh

Finns massive spear shoots into the room ending the life of two bullywugs with powerful thrusts, as Toxims arrow found the smokers flesh as well. Thovens arrow finds the bullywug on the far side of the room wounding it

The bully wug in the near Ardanto strikes out at him once more7hp The one across the room throws an axe at Guard but hits the wall in stead as the Smoking bullywug stands and strikes at ardanto, Opening itself up to Finn and Ardanto. Finns spear catches only table as Ardanto does get a small cut in 4hpThe smoking bully wug lets out a scream as it swings at Ardanto with a fury, Ardanto barely keeps the axes at bay taking a solid hit 9hp

Guard walks into the room glowing with vibrancy as he comes the bullywug barely fends off his hammer

Ok Toxim ya can only use one action point per round.

Thoven will move just inside the door and to his left, hoping to clear the entry way somewhat, before letting loose another arrow.

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Having the door out of the way, Guard looks around the room to visualize, where his opponents are. While he does that, his companions fell two of the bullywugs.
Seeing them succeed so easily, he still keeps on his guard, tries something new Snem taught him on the ship. With a short concentration his whole body is not only surrounded by the blueish flames of his intangible Mantle, but also by a visible aura.
free action: activate Incarnum radiance: +1AC -> AC 23, 6 rounds

Bringing his shiny warhammer up, Guard moves a step to his right left on the map, towards the lone bullywug in the corner of the room, attacking him fiercly:
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

1d8 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Action Point: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Probably not a hit...

Guards was for last round .

Keeper of Forbidden Lore wrote:

Sorry

Toxim will go into the room and step to the right, opposite Guard, and let another arrow fly at the smoking bullywog.
Atk: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 note the roll includes the PB Shot feat
Dmg: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Ardanto drops his sword and grasps his side, decides 'Discretion is the better part of valour' and uses a full round action to back out of the room next to Lavinia, leaving a trail of blood spots as he goes.

(Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1)

Finn pushes through into the lower right corner of the room and aims a spear-thrust at the wounded cigar-smoker.

Daurros targets the smoking bullywug with his daze, hoping for an effect ..

Daurros tries to daze the smoker with no seeing effect as Ardanto retreats, Laviniva covers him as he makes his way back behind Finn she looks worried at his wounds. Finn ducks thought the doorway and slams his spear at the bullywug, missing the beast and digging into the wall

Toxim must enter the room behind Finn to ge a shoot but his arrow des find the smoker as Thoven follows firing an arrow and downing the bullywug on the far side of the room. The smoking bullywug screaming with fury jumps at Finn, His spear find her as she leaps but still she comes13hp and her axes lash out at the enlarged monk, both inflicting wounds 19hp

Guard battles with the last other bullywug, neither able to score a blow on the other

Seeing the smoker move on, Guard shifts his focus on defeating that bullywug. Taking the momentum of his turn to aid in his swing with the warhammer, he smashes the head of his weapon against the side of the leader of the evil creatures:
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

1d8 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Not having found a hole in the defense of the smoker, Guard tries another attack, bringing the warhammer with a quick move up to hit the smoker from below: Using an Action point for a second attack
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

Finn counterattacks with a hurricane of kicks, one aimed straight for...a sensitive spot.

Daurros will move up to the door, and target the smoking bullywug with a ray of frost.

ranged touch 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 damage 1d3 ⇒ 3

Daurros moves toward the door and calling upon his arcane arts a small ball of blueish ice and frost slams into the smoker. Lavinia moves protectively in front of Ardanto as Finn's legs shot out with a series of blows at the smoker. Toxim moves and fires but again his arrows find only the wall, Thovens first shot takes out the smoker as it drops he sends his 2nd shot toward the last one standing injuring the beast as Guard finishes it off with his hammer.

Lavina seeing how bad, Ardanto and Finn are turns toward the privy. "My family keeps a hidden cache down here. She says but gasps upon opening the secret room. Inside lays a bleeding dwarf. A few weapons and some armor hand in the room and the dwarf seems to have turned over a wooden chest, broken bottles and liquid lay in pools under and around him Kaskus! She calls out in astoniment

Guard calms a bit, after finishing the bullywugs in the room, but immediately afterwards concentrates on detecting further evil around, as to not be surprised, should they attack the group.
He can't help the dwarf, or the other injured, so he let's Lord Thoven handle that on his own.
Silently he keeps as close to Lavina as possible, without hindering her.

After the battle Toxim counts his arrows and realizes that he's running low. 'I've got to conserve ammo', he thinks to himself. When Lavinia tells them of her cache, he hopes that he'll be able to replenish his supply or maybe pick up a crossbow and some bolts instead. Toxim stands guard at the door of the secret room to allow Thoven to look over the dwarf and, if needed, to give the group a moment to mourn their friend.

edit: don't forget to loot the bullywogs!

Toxim, There is a light crossbow and 40 arrows, but there were some upstairs as well. This room also has a glowing dagger, a silver bastard sword, some leather armor and a pair of boots on the wall. The bullywug have the same gear the others had, hand axes, leather armor and clubs. The smokers two handaxes do glow under detect magic however

Guard would take the handaxes, if noone else wants 'em.

Just counted and I've used 13 of 20 arrows so far. I'll take my chances with my supply rather than picking up a crossbow.

Ardanto uses a throwing axe in his off hand, but makes no move to retrieve the handaxes.

Ardanto slumps against the wall and slides down it onto his rump, "Is it just me, or does this hurt more each time you get stabbed?" he holds his side and tries not to let the blood ooze out too much. "Sorry about the mess," he chuckles to Lavinia, pointing at the blood pool with his free hand.

(Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1)

"Yes, it hurts to get stabbed," Finn replies without much humour.

Thoven will sling his bow around his shoulder before patting Finn and Ardanto softly"perhaps the two of you should try to not get stabbed?" He chuckles lightheartedly as he kneels by the side of the dwarf, seeing if Lavania's fallen ally has any signs of life before tending to the less immediate wounds of his own allies.

Lavina digs though the chest while Thoven looks over the dwarf, he looks bad-7hp but Lavina seems to find four intact bottles within the chest "Here, only four are left but they might be useful. They are potent healing potions "

Ok keep in mind you also have a wand of CLW, well 2 now and guard had given Daurros a wand of light repair, Lavina hands you 4 CMW and thoven still has 2 channels left. Actions?

Medic!

Ardanto looks around hopefully at the mention of curing.

(Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1)

"Lord Thoven, if you could use your blessings, my wounds would appreciate it." Finn strains to smile politely at the priest's joke.
