After a few minutes of the awkward silence, Tamrin speaks up.
"Are you of the mind to leave this business to the two of them, Kannic, or do you have some ideas on what we can do to help Ryo because of their relationship?"
"We can't leave it to the two of them. Ryo needs our help. Even if he were strong enough, no one should have to face that alone."

"Vampire hunting?""Something tells me me need a more specific plan than that, though. Especially if we want to be successful at this," he says with a smile.
"I think we should ask Ryo. I mean, he probably knows more about this vampire than anyone. Even if he can't locate it, maybe he can tell us something that will help track it down."

just before you knock on the door, you hear a small explosion. Almost breaking the door down, you enter the room to see Ryo sitting on the floo and leaning against the wall. His cards are scattered all a round the room, and several broken items lay in a circle on the floor. Ryo has a cut below his eye, and his cloak has a rip in it. He looks up and smiles.
"I know where creature is."
just before you knock on the door, you hear a small explosion. Almost breaking the door down, you enter the room to see Ryo sitting on the floo and leaning against the wall. His cards are scattered all a round the room, and several broken items lay in a circle on the floor. Ryo has a cut below his eye, and his cloak has a rip in it. He looks up and smiles.
"I know where creature is."
Kannic chuckles, "Reminds me of a miner hitting a gas pocket, but living to see a vein of silver."

"Uh.....great?" Tam says absently, surveying the disarray in Ryo's room. "Are we heading there now, or waiting until morning? Not that is seems to make much of a difference now, come to think of it..."
"Yeah. Let's go."
Once everyone is ready and Ryo has his cards safely tucked away in his cloak, he leads everyone out into the cold evening. After 30 minutes of travel, he stops in front of gate blocking the way to a beautiful and ornate house. Before he can check to see if the gate locked, it swings open on it's own.
"It knows we are here. If any of you want to back out, now is the time to do so."

"Well, this isn't quite the 'night life' I usually like to partake of, but I'm already dressed and here, so why waste it right?" Tam says with a smile.

Moving quickly, he makes his way to the huge double door at the front of the building. He opens them slightly, just enough to peek through them. Soft music comes from within the house, and Ryo turns to look at everyone.
"You won't believe this, but, there seems to be a party going on in there. A dance party, and we are difinitely not dressed for the occasion, what ever it may truly be."
He pauses for a moment.
"Yeah, that should work..."
His eyes cloud, and everyone stares as expertly made clothing appears on Ryo, Tamrin, and Aananda. Kannic, being invisible, doesn't need a disguise.
"The people in there will see you in these clothes and think you're guests too. In case anyone commented on your dress or suit, I thought you should at least be able to see them too."
When he sees the confused expressions on their faces, he explains furher.
"Don't worry, I'm just using the weakest psychic power I've got. I always thought it was rather useless to make people see what I want, but I guess I was wrong."
"Let's go then."

Opening the door and holding for his friends, Ryo looks out at the people dancing. Graceful, fast, slow, all types of dancing flow seamlessly with the music. To one side, a table filled with wonderful foods, to the other, elegant glasses fill themselves with beverages for everyone. The inside of this place is to the outside as ambrosia is to cheap wine. Gold and platinum outline patterns on the wall, and the floors have mithral inlay with the occasional sapphire and opal embedded in it. Streamers hangs from the ceiling, and ambient light mixed with faints streams of color fills the dance room.
Looking around, Ryo's eyes cloud as he scans the crowd. He seems puzzled.
"They're all alive, I can't find the vampire anywhere."
A pleasant voice floats from behind them.
"Have you tried looking behind you?"Ryo spins and aims an fist at his brother's face, but Keaton catches it easily.
"Now, now. The party will end in one hour, we can settle any imaginary dispute you have with me then. Until that time however, why don't you and your friends stay and enjoy the festivities? The hostess will be sad if she sees three of her guests are unhappy."
He moves to walk past Ryo, then turns toward Aananda and gestures to the dance floor.
"Would the beautiful mechanic care to dance?"

Three. He said three. Perhaps I can get a stake thru this creature's defenses? Kannic quietly switches to one of the stakes Aananda 'created'. He scans for threats as he readies.
