Oso steps up five foot and unloads on the prone mindflayer with his sword in two hands, seeing Gittik in a heap he takes particualr pleasure in raging at the damned beast.
The mindflayer's about 10 feet away as the crow flies; he has to go around Pip and the plantyman, who can get an aoo in on Oso.....
Oso, however, is missed by the plantyman on the way there.
His first attack is good enough to spack the mindflayer, whose head goes rolling away to the south of the room.
Just three of the plantmen left;
Gittik's out, Oso attacked,
Elgan needs to save wil d.c. 19,
Altai saved;
Altai, Pip, Elgan, and Beldan left to act.
Sorry Heathy, I worked out I could get t him and forgot to check where the others were. Just plain weekend lazy. But I would have taken the hit from the plantyman like you said, thanks.
The warrior priest nods as the rolling head comes to a stop.
It's all good when a mindflayer gets decapitated. I was enjoying the fight, but the cliffhangers waiting for saves were making me twitchy.

Altai glances over at Elgan. "You mean big brown bear, right?" He then hoses down a little plant-monster with gouts of fire.
I'm using my extra spell slot from my bonded object to cast Scorching ray one more time, aiming at the vegepygmy slicing up Pip. Ray 1: Attack roll 11+8+1(haste)=touch AC 20, damage 14 fire. Ray 2: Attack roll 10+8+1=touch AC 19, damage 12 fire.
Elganbear doesn't even blink, but he IS starting to get angry at the irritatingly mobile veg-head! He shifts in mid-roar from dire bear to Dire lion! His feline reflexes snapping him into even faster motion as he snaps, claws, and snaps again at the hyperactive soon-to-be-salad!
Same as the first! ;P Bite, CLaw, claw, hasted bite: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27

Elgan swats the broccoliboy down, though he only connected one good time.
two left, at d2 fighting beldan, and at b4 fighting pip.
"I don't have a coin for you, Death. Will a song be adequate payment?" she queries, fluttering her fingers on her flute. It makes a palpable, comforting thooping sound as she quickly works the keys.
"Are ye daft? Do Ah look lahl Ah'll carry ye fer a jingle? Check the dark elf fer a coin."
"He...." she looks at the comatose drow in a dwarven wedding dress...."he looks to be in the boat...does that mean I have permission to come aboard your brig, good sir?"
She looks at Stig for a second. THEN, she punches the drow. Hard. In the package.
He's still comatose. Nothing does his face betray.
"Just checking..." she searches the drow; presents one silver coin from a pouch; "is this enow?"

"Ha, jus' prankin' ye lassie. Ah ain't the reaper. Jus a fat dwarrow en a boot."
Her face screws into a grimace.
"That's a cruel jest, dwarf."
Then she starts laughing.
"I haven't talked to anyone, in a long time. You're good company.
My name is..." she seems thoughtful; "Rowan...Rowan Kellani. I died.....I don't know how long ago. Seeking vengeance; I don't know what for. Do you know Vanthus? I did, once; I think."

7,000 experience points each to the party; not Stiggy....
The mind flayer has a head band of mental prowess; +2 to int AND cha;
as well as 20,000 gold pieces worth of freaky sadomasochistically themed jewelry; I'll leave it at that, this being a family website.
"I....." she bites her lip; "I'm sorry that was no good for you; didn't know that would happen. If you want, you can smack me with that thing..." her eyebrows tweak up a little.
"The water.....don't touch it muchly, dwarf. I think it trickles down to the River Styx. It has properties that can make one forgetful."
The riverlet flows out of the small cavern opposite the way you came in.

Wohoo! Anything special about its coat, or did it just look cool? I'll take it anyway, of course... BTW - I have a better INT device, so I'm not interested; it would be great for Pip, Oso or Beldan. A question for Heathy - what skill does he headband provide ranks in?
"Riggy!!! Riggy!!! ROWOOOOOO!!!" the great (gnnng) dane claws at the door....

BTW, I just updated my summoning list (on the bottom of my character sheet) as the PF monster summoning lists are a little different. Does the list look OK?
