Maybe I can inspire some competence by throwing daggers at him for moving too slow. Or is that an aid another check? Haha. 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17 For the fun of it. If applicable, of course.

Willard, are you raging during this climb?
No, Willy has not raged any round yet today. He would have if he missed his first attack against the spider. The +10 is from +8 for his Climb skill bonus and +2 circumstance bonus for using a climber's kit.
"Well that stinks," notes Haunrar as he wipes his hands together, rubbing off the kicked up dust. "I guess we can try looking around this big room here." He looks around the room he is in.

Afterwards, he goes to the door in the north wall and listens.

The well in the northeast corner has 10 feet of rope dangling in it. The water is more than 30 feet down and is brackish. Next to the well lies a humanoid corpse, rotted.
The ruined stable has a few ancient bones.
You don't hear anything coming from the other side of the door.

When Willy reaches the trapdoor, he pushes up on it to open it just enough to stick the top of his head in so he can see what's in the space above it.
Deelin carefully rifles through the backpack trying not to get any goo on himself or his clothes, after all when your adventuring you still have to look good he thinks to himself.
Inside the pack are: 7 days rations, a set of thieves' tools, 50 feet of silk rope, a small coinpurse filled with coins, and a small vial containing a blue liquid.
To Huanrar he says No worries, here you go handing him the bottle. Deelin then counts the coins for the party and tosses the smallest one down the well for good luck and has a look at the bottom waiting for the splash to guage its depth.

Willy looks around for a way to secure one end of the rope, oblivious to the fact that everyone is now out in the courtyard.
Haunrar stairs at the vial for about 20 seconds before he realizes he has no clue what the potion is. Then he starts suddenly, remembering that he just called back to Willy and runs back into the room and grabs ahold of the dangling rope.
Backing away from the well and moving towards the broken tower door Deelin says in hushed tones Steel yourselves, we have company moving past those double doors. He knocks an arrow and readies to fire at an approaching enemy that may appear.
"Ok, they're playing a waiting game." Haunrar sneaks up to the door and tries and: A) peek through any cracks or holes or barring that B) Listens closely for any noises that they might be making.
seems like whoever they are, they know we're here. How about we go through that side door and see if we can work our way around behind them. I'll cover us with my bow. Deelin says as he makes his way onto the rubble pile for the best view.
"Deelin, that sounds like a good idea. What if you and Althesia provide cover fire with the bow from behind while Willy opens that door? I'll stay with Willy. I got a nice slippery surprise for them if they are still still there. I didn't hear anything but that doesn't mean they weren't there."

"Oy, 'ere we go." Willy opens the door with one hand, with his axe in the other.
His rope is still lying on the floor in the tower.
