Well he ducked back into the passageway toward the split.

He still hasn't returned...You head a click from the door at the end of the hallway, what do you do now?

(Male Hobgoblin Fighter 1 Air Element Sorcerer 1 Rogue 1)

"As much as I want to kill that thing, maybe we should keep going and wait for it to catch us up again. I do not want to be following it into a possible ambush, I would rather have it come back to us."

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

"Yes, following it into possible ambush now could be bad but if we let it go then it could gather more allies and impede us worse later."

turning to Brignat

"Brignat, on me, Haruuc see what you can do with that door"

and then I will attempt to jump over the dart traps we keep tripping and pursue our zombified friend down the hall.
(that is assuming only a few seconds have passed since he left our sights and we started this conversation. I haven't posted in a while because I hadnt realized that we went over to a new page again :/

I will need the jump checks and spot checks rolled for me at the moment the dice roller seems to be down.

You can always use the Paizo dice roller you just type [di.ce]1d20[/dice] without the period, that was added in the last few months, nowif they would just add some Mailboxes...

Acrobatics: 1d20 ⇒ 19+3=22

What are you attempting to spot?

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

our presently zombified companion,

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

He went around at least one corner, unless you really want to run headlong through a trap-ridden tomb that is obviously housing undead.

Quick CAD generated map, so not beautiful.

MAP

(Male Hobgoblin Fighter 1 Air Element Sorcerer 1 Rogue 1)

DM Dhakann wrote:

I see nothing wrong with it. I think it does the job admirably! :)

Once again, Haruuc bristels at being ordered around by Drexel, but he keeps his composure again. He'll keep, he thinks to himself as he turns his attention to the task of openingthe door before him.

Perception Check to look for traps: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

well I was planning on looking around the corridor where the pit trap was to see if he was still in that area

Drexel Morrow wrote:

Drexel peers around the corner, Hruskin is nowhere to be seen.

There appear to be no traps on the door Haruuc after you have a quick investigation of the door.

The entire area feels as though it's gotten 5 degrees colder...you see your breath now.

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

Do I see any tracks in the dust verifying which direction he may have gone? Any lingering heat signitures? He hasn't been dead long...

Drexel Morrow wrote:

darkvision isn't heat vision in 3.5/PF.

Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 6+7=13

Perception: 1d20

You peer around but the dust strangely isn't very thick and what dust there is, is trampled about...

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

so how does dark vision work? cant be like real night vision

Drexel Morrow wrote:

Darkvision

Darkvision is the extraordinary ability to see with no light source at all, out to a range specified for the creature. Darkvision is black-and-white only (colors cannot be discerned). It does not allow characters to see anything that they could not see otherwise—invisible objects are still invisible, and illusions are still visible as what they seem to be. Likewise, darkvision subjects a creature to gaze attacks normally. The presence of light does not spoil darkvision.

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

I was more reffering to the real world biology behind it lol

Drexel Morrow wrote:

Real World it would be more like dog/cat vision, except you don't need starlight like real world creatures..

(Male Hobgoblin Fighter 1 Air Element Sorcerer 1 Rogue 1)

haruuc glances up at Drexel and his eyes narrow. "What are you doing? Do you aim to follow him to your death or are you planning on sticking with us and living?"
"I know which I would prefer," he mumbles to himself under his breath.

Perception 15

Spoiler:
You hear Haruuc's name whispered on the wind

Perception 21

Spoiler:
Oh Haruuc, don't worry, He won't be the only one...floats through the halls as a ghostly whisper

remember, never let the rules stand in the way of a good ghost story...

(Male Hobgoblin Fighter 1 Air Element Sorcerer 1 Rogue 1)

Perception Check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
So close...

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

perception 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

yea... I didn't hear S#$@ lol, must be the harmonics of the place.

I mumble under my breath just loud enough for it to carry a bit even though my face is turned away and partically around a corner, not caring if Haruuc hears or not. "I plan on feeding you to it, you uptight little..." then I turn toward Haruuc and Brignat and say "lets press on then, how are you coming with that door? we have seen how adapt you are so far with this sort of thing" saying the last portion with a slight sneer in my voice.

DM can set the check DC for my mumbling

I think we may have lost Brignat now.../sigh

I was going to recruit when we were done with this part of the adventure, I guess I can run him as a PC Puppet

DM Dhakann wrote:

... if we must, I'm not sure how much longer me n haruuc can keep from killing each other with no real ppl in the party lol

OK I'm going to accelerate the tomb encounter to its fruition. Then we'll worry about continuation or recruiting.

As Haruuc fiddles with the door, and Drexel cautiously works his way back across the trap ladened floor, the door Haruuc was working on slides open...

Brignat:
Perception 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

Appears brignat's brain has left the building, or perhaps he is astral projecting?

Drexel Morrow wrote:

No one leaves the tomb...not even astrally!!!

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

So, I'm not sure whats going on, is there an open pit beyond the door? is it darkness that our vision cannot penetrate? are we all supposed to be rolling spot checks?

sorry it opened for dramatic effect, was waiting for a reaction...

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

OOoooooh lol and action!

LE GASP! Haruuc actually got the door open?!?

Drexel Morrow wrote:

Nope, it slid open in its own

(Male Hobgoblin Fighter 1 Air Element Sorcerer 1 Rogue 1)

Haruuc rocks backwards as the door slides open before him. He raises an eyebrow and c o c k s his head to the side. He didn't think that he'd done anything to open it , but maybe he'd tripped something while searching.
"Door's open," calls back to the others as he unwinds his chain and peers through the doorway before him, trying to catch a glimpse of what lays beyond.

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

would I know that it slid open on its own as opposed to haruuc getting it open?

(Male Hobgoblin Ftr 4)

Spoiler:
apologize for the absence. my computer was destroyed and it took a while before i could afford one. I'd like to jump back in if that's alright. if not, then i understand.

(Male Hobgoblin Fighter 1 Air Element Sorcerer 1 Rogue 1)

Welcome Back! :)

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

awesome :) wont have to have as many "new recruits" now.

Welcome Back Brignat...

As the door slides open, A foul wind emanates from the room. You see it reveals another hallway that curves to the left.

(Male Hobgoblin Ftr 4)

Brignat readies his bow and nods down the hallway. "You only live once.....then you come back and attack your friends."

You peer into the darkness, well what would be dark for an human, and the corridor double back on itself in a U. The air is quite musty in this section.

"Come my friends, welcome to your new home" - In three languages again...
"Come my friends, welcome to your new home"
"Come my friends, welcome to your new home"

(Male Hobgoblin Fighter 1 Air Element Sorcerer 1 Rogue 1)

"I hope we get to redecorate," says haruuc as he steps through the doorway into the corridor beyond, Spiked Chain held ready before him.

Sorry guys, I was going to update last night, but I got hammered with work, I'll have more map and post up over the weekend.

Here's the Map, really sorry was hammered all weekend working on detail changes on a project.

"Come NOW, come to me!"
"Te'yesh, k'tahl nahk!" in the three languages.
"Come NOW, come to me!"

Make a will save.

(Male Hobgoblin Ftr 4)

"Looks like we're late for the party. Perhaps we should get going."
Will save (+1 if fear): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Brignat wrote:

Will save (+1 if fear): 1d20+1

Spoiler:
You feel compelled to advance

Drexel's computer broke so I can PC Puppet his character for now, Haruuc, you there?

(Male Hobgoblin Fighter 1 Air Element Sorcerer 1 Rogue 1)

DM Dhakann wrote:

Yeah sorry. Had no Internet (well I had awesomely crappy Dial-up Interent) for the last 10 days and at 5 minutes+ to load a page it wasn't worth my sanity to go anywhere near the net 'til I got Broadband back... :/

Will Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Drexel: Will Save: 1d20 ⇒ 3

Compelled to advance Drexel strides boldly forward "Akesh Dhakaan! Let's move."
