It's your action/DM Dhakaan's Announcement.

The last of the the Hob Zombies raises up and falls upon Hruskin biting him on top of the head. Hruskin collapses under the savage attacks.

"Remember me as a peace-make.... BRAINS!"

(Male Hobgoblin Ftr 4)

"Hummmm.....Perhaps we should regroup before advancing further."

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

I'm not sure if there is a zombie remaining or if it died after taking out Hruskin.

Regardless If a Zombie remains I attack it
1d20+4=12
Dmg 1d6+2=7

If a zombie does not remain I strike up a conversation with the party (If it does I say this as soon as the zombie is dead).
"Lets see if we can get this entrance open"

3 zombies remain "alive", these are tough ones...(just can't hit the side of a barn...)

(Male Hobgoblin Ftr 4)

"Regroup right after I finish these."
Full round: kukri & spikes 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Brignat wrote:

Full round: kukri & spikes 1d20+5; 1d4+2; 1d20+5; 1d6+1

Brignat tears a nice chuck out of the zombie he's facing, causing it to collapse.

(Male Hobgoblin Fighter 1 Air Element Sorcerer 1 Rogue 1)

Haruuc twirls his Chain around before him before sending it shooting out towards the Zombie he was last attacking.

Attack Zombie with Masterwork Spiked Chain: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Damage: 2d4 + 1 ⇒ (4, 4) + 1 = 9

Haruuc launches another clumsy attack at the foul creatures...it's as though his chain recently got shorter... ;)

DM Dhakann wrote:

lmao! :D

Zombies

Spoiler:

Versus Drexel:1d20 ⇒ 4+2=miss 1d20 ⇒ 3+2=miss

Versus Haruuc:1d20 ⇒ 6+2=miss 1d20 ⇒ 17+2=hit

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

I attack the zombie again.

1d20+4=21

1d6+2=8

woot lots of damage :)

(Male Hobgoblin Fighter 1 Air Element Sorcerer 1 Rogue 1)

Starting to get frustrated with his lack of success, Haruuc lashes out again with his chain.

Attack Zombie with Masterwork Spiked Chain: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Damage: 2d4 + 1 ⇒ (2, 1) + 1 = 4

little more description or put it behind a spoiler and I'll go ahead and describe the entire combat.

Drexel quickly dispatches another of the zombies. Haruuc strikes with his chain inflicting a nasty gash in its torso.

The zombie strikes back at Haruuc

1d20 ⇒ 4 1d20 ⇒ 20

confirm critical 1d20 ⇒ 14

The Zombie strikes Haruuc heavily on the chest, it's claws penetrating partway through the breast plate causing severe bruising.

[4 hit points dmg]

"Return to the nothingness from which you came!"
armor spikes and kukri vs. nearest zombie 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Brignat quickly dispatches the last of the hob zombies, it's lifeless corpse falling to the stone floor; its dessicated husk crumbling once the magic that animated it has left...the passageway falls silent except for the labored breathing of your party...

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

"Now then, let us see about possibly getting this entrance open, but first..." I walk over to Hruskin and the zombies and begin to look for anything useful on the corpses.

I speak to the party as I am going through pockets "Seeing that already some of our brothers have been turned into zombies I begin to wonder if this is going to be a fools errand, we do not really need to be here. But in the off chance that one lives it would give us valuable information about the time that we are now in as well as the area and where nearby tribes are. What are your thoughts on the issue?"

(Male Hobgoblin Ftr 4)

"Agreed, this tomb may yet hold secrets about this time. We should pursue further."

(Male Hobgoblin Fighter 1 Air Element Sorcerer 1 Rogue 1)

"Move forward. I agree also that this Tomb may hold the key to more information for us."

added a post that the post monster munched yesterday.

To reiterate; The armor the hobgoblins are wearing is of an ancient Dhakaani design, from the height of the Dhakaani empire, yet it does not show its age. As you look closer you realize the breastplates are lacquered red and orange with inlaid gold filagrees, but the armor itself is adamantine.

(Male Hobgoblin Ftr 4)

"We should barry the honorable dead outside of this place."

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

"well this armor though well crafted and made with amazing materials does me no good, other then to make money when I sell it. I do not know how to use it"

Spoiler:
what do I find on hruskin and the hobs that I am searching since everyone else seems to just be standing around.

** spoiler omitted **

Drexel: You're a fighter/ranger, You have full proficiency in Medium armor, AND Rangers can now use Medium armor...In addition, they armor being ancient Dhakaani would be almost priceless in your own time.

oh yea, lol forgot I had a level of fighter thrown into the mix

What is your next course of action? Someone said they wanted to attempt to open the door?

(Male Hobgoblin Fighter 1 Air Element Sorcerer 1 Rogue 1)

Haruuc also looks at the armour, contemplating switching his, but deciding that the restrictiveness wouldn't be worth it in the end. "I am not adverse to taking any of this armour with us if it is possible. I believe t would fetch quite a price if we ever got back to our time."
He wanders over to where the door is and looks around to see whether it might be trapped.

Perception Check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16

This armor in your time would be considered relics of Dhakaan...not something to be sold more than likely.

What now?

(Male Hobgoblin Ftr 4)

Brignat begins to drag the bodies outside to burry them. "These was honorable brothers before this elvish socerery. We should treat them so."

(Male Hobgoblin Fighter 1 Air Element Sorcerer 1 Rogue 1)

Haruuc looks to Brignat for a second before agreeing with the Warrior and helping to drag the bodies outside. Once there however, he instructs the remaining Hobgoblins to do the burials while they return inside to resume their search.

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

I look on amazed as my fellow hobs proceed to walk through a solid wall that until a moment ago had blocked them from fleeing. You never responded if the door that Haruuc was looking at was trapped or if we where able to get it opened.

DM only

Spoiler:
still haven't been told what I found on our lil forge priest, or if the zombies had anything other then their armor on them. ;) just trying to add some paranoia lol

Whoops, forgot that closed behind us...

Haruuc Dhakaan wrote:

Uh, yeah, you're still trapped in the tomb Haruuc...no one has even looked for a way to release the fallen block.

(Male Hobgoblin Ftr 4)

"Oh right.....the door is shut. Maybe i hit my head harder than I thought." Looking very sheepish, "Perhaps we should continue down the tunnel."

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

I quickly strip the armor off of one of the undead hobs and don it, stashing my old armor into my pack. After doing this I head down toward the end of the corridor from where the zombies came looking for a lever or trip wire of some sort that may have caused the door to slam shut.

just making sure because your post is a little vague on the matter, the armor is breast plate yes? Also did I find anything on our ex forge priest or not when I was looking through his gear?

You find whatever is on his sheet...

Yes it's a Breastplate.

So you're going to go off on your own down the corridor?

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

I imagine that it will take me a while to don armor, transfer things of interest from our dead team mates pack to mine and get ready to move down the corridor, lets see what everyone else is deciding to do

(Male Hobgoblin Ftr 4)

We'll wait for you to pick over the dead. After that, I say we go down the tunnel. I'll be in front.

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

HAHAH I had completely forgotten that my character had a wolf companion. That's what I get for never looking at my character sheet.

"does anyone else need a silk rope? I found one on the body of our dearly departed priest over here. Well now that we are all situated let us see if we can figure out how to get this block up. Harruuc you see if you can find any sort of release mechanism down by the block, Brignat and I will see what we can find down at the end of the hall that the undead came from"
I adjust my newly acquired armor that I took off one of the fallen Hobs. Even though we where close in body size it still fit slightly uncomfortably, I curse the gods silently for taking our forge priest for I know that he could have made it fit right

I have changed my character page to reflect that I am now wearing the adamantine armor (DR/-2, skill penalties, etc.) and I have added the items from Hrusken that I grabbed.

Drexel Morrow wrote:

Your wolf was lackadaisically lying in the brush as you began exploring the tomb...

(Male Hobgoblin Fighter 1 Air Element Sorcerer 1 Rogue 1)

Haruuc sets to work trying to find some kind of release mechanism to make their egress from the tomb a little more agreeable.

Perception Check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13

Welcome back everyone, I hope everyone comes back.

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

I'm here, as always

(Male Hobgoblin Ftr 4)

still here

Haruuc spends a few minutes searching for a release without any success. The stillness of the tomb is eerie, the only sounds are are from your movements and breathing. The air is stale, devoid of life. With your darkvision you can see the lengthy corridor and that it ends at a T-intersection at the edge of your vision.

(Male Hobgoblin Ftr 4)

"Let us move forward and see what we can at the intersection."
At that, Brignat begins to creep forward with an arrow notched in his bow.
I'm not going to take any of the armor. Given my character's background it would be like looting a respected elder to him.

(Male Human Rogue 1: favored class Rogue +1 Skill Point/ Lv)

Looks like everyone is going with my plan :)

after I get my new armor on and finish picking over the dead/ pushing them all to the wall out of the way I move down the corridor with Brignat with sword out.
