Now, wasn't that worth waiting for?

Most definitely!!

"I hear footsteps moving away from us down the hallway ahead. I think you are right A'loran, we need to split up and hunt them down."

(Male Human Warlock 4)

Canas steps through the doorway and begins running after the fleeing foes.

Moving to H6, if one of them is within range use Eyes of The Vestige, if not continue moving to N4. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

1d6 ⇒ 1

(Male Dwarf Cleric 4 (battle))

A right yer be A'loran, I'm with yer, Rulf says as he stands and heads down the right passage while getting a firmer grip on his axe, hoping to sink it into that last gobos neck.

move action to stand then move action to run to K17

Rulf- I don't know why you thought you were prone, but I ran you double.

Canas

Spoiler:
Moving into the hall you have no difficulty seeing the goblin, though he's doing his best to make himself as small as possible. Unfortunately, he is well out of range of your powers.

Kava's turn.

only because I'd said he slid to kavas side on his knees, but either way I'm happy with however you rule it.

Andoran (Female Dragonborn Paladin 4)

Kava hustles throught the doors, pausing briefly to see where Canas has gone before chasing after him, silver head tendrils trailing after her double move to J4; minor action active perception +2

Rulf - We'll say it's a minor action to stand from kneeling.
Kava - It's a standard action to look for something (PHB p.186), so let me know if you'd rather stop short to look.

Kava -

Spoiler:
You round the corner to see Canas, all blurry, facing off with the nervous goblin archer.

Well, look at that.

No further info for Canas or Kava after Perception checks.

(Male Halfling Rogue - 4)

Double move to K4. Action Point to use Deft Strike to move to M4 and throw shuriken at G1.

Deft Strike
+8 vs. AC; d6+4 damage
Move 2 sq before attack

Latro moves around the corner, pulls a shuriken, and throws it at the goblin archer.

"Now where did you get to Gobo? Ah....there you are. How's about a little bit of this!"

Latro comes barreling around the corner and, with a final lunge, whips a throwing star into the goblin. Latro hit G1 (21 vs. AC after -2 range) for 9 damage.

The goblin continues his retreat, launching an arrow at Canas before rounding the corner. G1 vs Canas' AC with -2 for concealment 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Huffing and puffing Rulf sprints as fast as he can trying to get to the sounds of battle in the distance. I won't live it down if young Latro and Cannas kill more gobos than me he thinks to himself.

Andoran (Female Dragonborn Paladin 4)

The goblin flees to the south only to find a red-faced wheezing dwarf blocking his escape. The goblin reflexively lets loose an arrow at Rulf. G1 vs. Rulf's AC + CA - 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27

I'm getting married in less than 12 hours and then I'm heading out to Vegas! Don't expect a post for about a week.

Congratulations Ghetto, and all the best for your honeymoon.

I'll be patiently waiting for your next post.

(Male Humanoid Lurker 1/ Nerd 1)

Andoran (male half fiend half dragon half orc half elf and TWICE the man for it! bard 6 scientist 5)

Reckon you can critical hit throwing the bouquet? Or is catching it an opposed role? It's definatley a melee

As A'loran takes his place beside the wheezing dwarf, from behind the corner ahead appears the bird-man. He casually walks up to the dwarf and tries to jam his knife in Rulf's belly.

Bird-man vs. Rulf's AC 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15

1d4 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Rulf's magic armor deflects the blade, and he straightens his bent back, a wicked gleam in the dwarf's eye.

Hi guys, I'm back. The honeymoon was spectacular, but I returned to work yesterday and was fired, so things are craptacular right now.

(Male Dwarf Cleric 4 (battle))

So, ye decided to show yer ugly beak again, when we let yer go earlier ah knew ye had some bird brained scheme in mind but ah had no idea we was facin a chicken till now. Rulf says with a glint of victory in his eye as he steps to the left.

Revenge is sweet for this dwarf as he looks to the heavens in a silent benediction and attempts to strike the Bird down. Be no never mind, I'm sure the pillow will feel just the same when yer feathers are in it no matter their colour.

move action shift to X15, free action for Divine Fortune, standard for Healing strike against B; Attack: +6 vs AC, +1 for divine fortune: total +7
Hit: 2d12 + 5 radiant damage, brutal 2, high crit, and the target is marked until the end of your next turn. In addition, I spend a healing surge.

PS glad to see your wedding and honeymoon were a great success and bummer about the job, hopefully something betters just around the corner.

1d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Andoran (Female Dragonborn Paladin 4)

Following Canas' fiery bolt, Kava hustles around the corner towards to Goblin, shielding her comrades as she moves (moves to AD10)

Arcane flames briefly illuminate the goblin, doing no damage, but signaling Canas' location to Rulf and A'loran. Canas missed (12 vs. Reflex).

Latro joins his companions in their assault on the goblin. He moves around the corner and looses a throwing star at the goblin.

"If I'm not mistaken gobby, you're escape has been cut off. Your treachery will be repaid with your death."

The goblin laughs as Latro's shuriken goes wide. Latro missed (12 vs. AC).

"Keep practicing, we'll come back when you're ready." the goblin chuckles before leaving Latro's sight. The goblin moves right up to A'loran and looses an arrow point blank. G1 vs. A'loran's AC 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16

A'loran dissappears and shows up at the intersection, staff overhead. With a word, ice crystals cake on his enemies. A'loran hit B ad G1 for 12 damage.

At the start of B's turn A'loran missed (10 vs. Fort).
The crow shakes out his icy limbs and steps out of the frost. As he slashes at Rulf, Rulf yells out "Cut the cold, lad! You'll freeze me beard off!" B vs. Rulf's AC 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17

(Male Dwarf Cleric 4 (battle))

bloody hell buzzard, what kind a bird are ya? Kava calls ye a rook, then yer a chicken an now yer a bloody Mimic. This'll do me head in at this rate. Rulf says with an incredulous look. He takes a step to his right before delivering a vicious blow at the bird.

I'm going to miss that Kenku... ignore the previous post about yelling and stabbing.

The crow tries desperately to stagger out of the cloud of frost, but his knees shatter, clawed feet still frozen to the floor. And the rest of its body explodes into millions of ice crystals on impact with the floor. A'loran missed, but inflicted 3 damage and B is dead.

Rulf can redo his turn.

Assuming G1's still alive when my turn comes up...

Canas runs around the corner.

Double move to Z16

Andoran (Female Dragonborn Paladin 4)

Hearing the ice shatter a cold shiver runs up Kava's spine "Hold on I am coming" Fearing the worst she runs around the corner Kava moves to AD15
Upon seeing the reminants of the backstabbing bird "HA! Your elfin majik is powerful and riteous indeed A'loran"

I can't help but imagine amongst the shattered ice-Kenku an orange beak and blinking eyes, Daffy Duck style

(Male Dwarf Cleric 4 (battle))

Rulf still muttering to himself about the crazy buzzard and how the waters going to affect the feathers he has claimed casts a balefull glance at the goblin skittering on a patch of Ice. Better ye than me Gobbo, if'n the gods hada wanted us dwarves ta like the ice he'd a built us compact and low te tha ground like halflins an such so we coulda stand the high mountains.....Brrr. Nae not fer me, ya can have that on yer own, I've already had a taste. He says as he takes a step back from the blistering cold.

love the daffy duck analogy, and I can just see rulf then walking around with a sack gathering up all the feathers just like DD did. BTW you can have the beak.
