Unless given a perfectly good reason why he should not, Erizi is heading towards the mold room.
As if being reasonable has anything to do with Erizi's actions. LOL
good point LOL
"Good lets go in then". "Can you make me big again"? Erizi hasn't taken the time to differentiate between the two new small additions to the group, so either assumes this is the one who did it last time or that they can all do it.
"Wrong halfling" Norn repiles to Erizi sounding as if she is not sure whether she should be amused or insulted.
There is an opening in the far wall which goes towards the overgrown courtyard and another further along that leads to where everyone fought the baboons and some pugs.
The latter leads towards the laboratory area.
.....
Its been about ten minutes and so far no one has come back from the monastery.
Livvy/Nombir/Zaid
Spoiler:
How long do you intend to stay here until you do something different? Just in case.... Please reply in spoilers, thanks.
Livvy will be fidgety after they've been late fifteen minutes or so, but she won't say anything. She'll wait for Nombir and/or Zaid to indicate that it's time to go.
When the party heads back towards the monastery it is full dark but that doesn't appear to bother Shimei. The three miles are covered with relative ease, but the rocky outcrops and tangled wilderness do make this a time consuming journey.
Ahead of the party, the odd ghostly cactus steps out of the dark, the occasional creature scurries across the path but by now everyone is getting better able to discern the difference between danger and nature.
The party eventually reaches that same place where they can look down by cold moonlight at the ruined home of Sarenrae. No movement can be picked up but then the poor light and many shadows make matters harder.
Descriptive text is not my strong point but this is just to show I'm not making things up. Don't worry pbp's are notorious for this sort of thing and I'm sure that my reduced posting since Sunday has something to do with it. As a general comment, I don't mind the party splitting up here, I would strongly hint if I did. My only concern would be the "resting" players getting bored but don't worry I'm sure I can look after them. Down the line, this sort of thing may get characters killed, and believe me I have no compunction about taking people out but I try to only do it occasionally...see the discussion thread for tt's post on this.
It refers to Shimei's tracking roll which was very good, if I remember right, and not some innate superior vision..and thanks for the cold but I'm blaming that viral factory called my son's nursery school. You should have a short email from me by now.
"Ok, Livvy and Zaid, follow me, but keep your eyes open". Nombir breaks cover and runs crouched from cover to cover until he reaches Shimei, whilst keeping an eye on Zaid and Livvy, to make sure they are with him.
Just reread the mold combat. Livvy finished off the one that played hide and seek in the drain. Norn had smacked the other and it had drawn itself back together, but "hadn't moved" after that. So both may be dead or one (the one that attacked Erizi?) may still be alive.
Shimei takes the rear of the party again. He doesn't care for these tunnels or the bones. The yellow dog stays at the top of the stairs.
You're right -- I'm probably assuming too much about the one that stopped moving.
Livvy will position herself alongside the door that will remain closed so that when the other door is opened, she will be able to send her Burning Hands through the open doorway as soon as necessary.
Readied action to light up any threats that present themselves in the doorway.
At the rear of the group Shimei tightens his grip on his new battle ax, gazes with suspicion at the scattered bones, and looks longingly at the stairs back to the surface.
"I'll go in first with Erizi. Livvy, stick close to us and blast anything that looks nasty, other than Erizi of course!!" Nombir laughs, slaps Erizi on the shoulder and draws his greatsword.
On the face of it, yes, but not really when no one posts other than Nombir to say what everyone is doing. Should I just take it as read that what Nombir says goes? That is a dangerous precedent to set but I can do that if you want. DMing means never taking things for granted.
Erizi and Nombir step forward side-by-side into the quiet laboratory. There are dark stains visible where the molds stopped fighting.
Behind them Livvy steps into the entranceway, just as a gushing green mold flies out of the pipe next to her, into the back of Erizi. Attack on Erizi 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (7) - 3 = 4 The mold ends up just in front between the pit fighter's legs.
A second mold drips down the doorway above Livvy, aiming for her head. Attack on Livvy 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (8) - 3 = 5 This one lands just in front of Livvy and behind Nombir.

sorry! I was just joking around. I'll post more seriously
Erizi's blow shatters the front mold into inconsequential pieces, and Tempest sings back up to his shoulder.
Meanwhile Nombir and Norn combine to cut up and destroy the second mold. Its all quiet in the lab again. Bits of slime start to dribble down into the drains in the floor, carried along the uneven channels of the floor.

No probs Livvy.
Livvy will use her Acid Splash on the bits of slime until she cannot see any more of them, trying to destroy them before they go into the drain.
"It's a mold, right? Perhaps being torn apart doesn't really hurt them -- maybe they are just flowing down into the drains and reassembling, you know?"
The captured mold sits waiting in the flasks, in pieces they does not attempt to escape its glass prisons. Perhaps because the fungal monsters are in fact dead?
Searching the room quickly at the same time, Nombir manages to find a sheaf of alchemical papers that look important. They must hold pretty detailed instructions given that the narrow text covers both sides of eight pages. and includes careful drawings of necessary apparatus like that which sits around the party on the benches.
Soon Nombir is back at the entrance again with Erizi and Livvy in tow.
These include full instructions covering the construction of restorative ointment and marvellous pigments, making the papers worth up to 300gp to the right buyer.
"Hey Zaid look at these". Nombir passes the papers to Zaid.
