Tech-Use: 1d100=74 Uh, can Trask use his Commanding Presence ability on this test even though I already rolled? It's just so close...
Well, technically it's once per round, so once per 3 seconds. But since your wandering around, I'm assuming you are taking pklenty of time over everything, so you may as well assume his ability is kicking in on all tests until I say otherwise.
i take up a position behind trask, bolter held at the low-ready.
"sir," i grumble into trask's ear, "when this is over, you and i need to have a talk."
in a louder voice, "alright gents, look lively. dominik, your on point. be sure to cast a light far ahead to get good visibility on whatever comes from our front. brother malakai, ahh good, your already set at the rear. just remember to turn around on every 8th step to see if anyone is sneaking behind us. nathan, you seem to have a grasp of the potential layout of the ship, i want you second. trask will be third, ill be fourth, and our holy man will be the rear.
And remember, this ship will may have nooks and crannies up in the ceiling, so be sure to scan top to bottom, left to right. dont get fixated on anything.
If you see something funny, strange, out of the ordinary, or have to hit the little boys room, dont hesitate to call the party to a stop. would rather have a bunch of false alarms, and no wet pants, than to have something overlooked and making one of you scream like a neophyte at her first battle.
alright, lets move out!"
with that, she points at dominik to lead the way...
"Nathan, can you tell us which direction the bridge is in? I would like to check the door on the left to make sure we are not leaving any enemies behind us, but I would otherwise like to head towards the bridge. We should be able to get a lot more information from the controls there. Assuming that sits pretty with you, Captain."
With that, Dominik heads slowly out into the corridor, racking his shotgun as he approaches the door on the left, gesturing for the others to follow him. Once everyone is in place, Dominik pauses to listen at the door first.

The far door most likely leads to the bridge. The door to the left you would expect to be some sort of storage facility, weapons, void suits/breathers, etc...
Moving to the door to the left, Although the runes don't indicate any problems, the door's power seems to have failed, or at least to have become badly intermittent. The view port aslo appears to have frosted over from the inside.
"id be careful sir. view port is frosted over, could mean theres a breach of hull integrity in that room. dont want to have someone get sucked through an inch opening..."
"I agree with Lorayne, Captain. We had best be careful of hull breaches." Dominik posts up next to the doorway so that he can cover one half of the room beyond. "Never the less, I am ready when you are."
"What do you think I'm trying to do?", Nathan replies coldly. "Don't worry. I'm sure that if this doesn't work we could go back to the ship and get a few pounds of high explosives."
After a few minutes of fumbling with an instrument panel and some tools, Nathan manages to re-route some power and with a hiss and click the door slides open.
A wall of cold air flows from the room, instantly becoming a fog as the water particles in the warmer air cool, and coalesce. As the fog clears, you can see into the darkness beyond, and out of it stumble 3 men and a woman. Their forms are covered in frost, and as they shamble forward, it is obvious that they are not aware of their actions.
Bypassing Nathan, who is crouched behind the access panel, the first one heads directly for Sarvus.
Dominik squints as he tries to see through the gloom, and lets out a low grunt as he suddenly sees the figures stumbling out of the dark.
In the future, we should probably always use Lorayne's ability to substitute her Int bonus (4) for our Ag bonuses for Init. It won't hurt anyone and it will benefit any of us that have an Ag bonus of 3.
i bring up my bolter, sight along the barrel sights and wait to confirm if they are friendlies or hostiles.
"halt and identify yoruself, or you will be shot!' i shout [ooc]free action]
i hold my position, trusting the company to take care of this rabble. i train my weapon beyond the shamblers, sighting into the door way, ready to fill the opening with bolter rounds should anything else step forward.
WS 45 1d100=65+20 to full auto on the unfortunate thing that walks out next. ill hold this pose until next round
As Sarvus' power sword rips through the first man, severing his head and one shoulder from the rest of his body, the others stumble toward the barrage of fire.
Brother Malaki's flamer takes out anohter one, but they still keep shambling forward, with one of them causing Lorayne to fire off a shell at the third one, as the others get stuck in the doorway.
Lorayne, could you give me a damage roll (that 20 should have been added to the 45 of your WS, rather than to the roll....so you just got a hit.)
Sorry for the delay folks, normal services will be resumed shortly.
You took out most of them, but not quite, so if you fancy another round of combat rolls in the mean time, go right ahead. There is still 1 man and 1 woman, lurking in the other room, who haven't made it to the door yet.
As Sarvus looks, he can still see two more forms emerging from the quickly clearing mist. One is male, and the other femail, both are shambling in the same fashion as the first few.
Dominik will aim and fire at the closest target with his shotgun while yelling,"What the feth is wrong with these people? Malakai, any ideas? No one just walks into a wall of lead that is of right mind."
1d100 = 10 If they are in close range (3m), the shotgun's scatter ability triggers.
Brother Malakai, not wanting to waste precious Flamer Ammunition draws forth his chain sword and strikes down any of the opposition that comes near him...
A Damage roll from Dominik would be good, but assuming he did enough damage, that would be the last two gone, and not much point waiting for actions from the others....
