Growing frustated, Alwyn ducks and leans behind Hudak while looking for an opening. Spotting one, he jams his greatsword past Hudak's shoulder at a vulnerable face-faker.
Attach roll 14+8=AC 22, damage 15+5=20. Huge greatswords rock!
Alwyn's overhead chop hacks off the creatures arm. It staggers, the wound squirting a foul, watery white ichor but continues to claw at his brother with its remaining arm.
Dravite, Listen, DC 20:
Spoiler:
From the top of the tower, you hear someone whispering incantations - a female voice.
The face-faker with the crossbow fires at Hudak, but in the confusing melee misses, the bolt thudding into a wooden beam by the Shoanti's head. From the quarrel's head oozes a green, tarry substance - poison!
It's Vethran next, so someone will need to do his actions for him for the moment. Then Elisile.
Hudak swings at the bleeding face-faker, trying to clear a way up the stairs.
Attack with 2-point power attack using the bastard sword in two hands. Attack roll 14+11-2(PA)=AC 23, damage 7+7+4(PA)=18. If this attack drops it, he needs to get out of the stairs. Can he take a 5' step to one side of the stair? If not, he takes a move action and moves 30' into the room, taking an AoO from one face-faker.
Hudak ends it with the ravaged face-faker, and its thuds to the wooden floor, stone-dead. (Face faker in F1 down.)
He can't step into the room as such as the other face-faker at F2 still blocks the way in. But he can move past it to continue up the stairs a bit, and maybe jump down, but it will get an AoO. Or he can shift 5' into the space occupied by the deceased face-faker in F1.
Alwyn forces his way upstairs like some kind of northern giant, and Illes shouts out encouragement, "That's it! Carve 'im up a pretty new face."
The bard grabs a vial from his belt, yanks the stopper out with his teeth and empties it into his quiver.
So Alwyn is squeezed into G1 & G2...
I'm not exactly clear on where and from what angle the stairwell opens to the next floor but I don't think I can target anything from G3.

"I do nae be tinkin' de stairs in dat rickety ole tower be a good idear...."
OK, waiting for Elisile. If Mothers doesn't post in the next day or so someone can taker her turn - I suspect it is "Wait until the stairs are clear" anyway.

The face-faker was already half-killed by Vethran's fireball and Alwyn's huge sword. It finally collapses under Hudak's assault, coating the floor with its foul fluids.
Once the way above is clear (Hudak and Alwyn off the stair), Elisile will make a double move up the stair, stopping just shy of the chamber above if she gets that far.
Illes delays again - he can't really add much to the current fight.
Alwyn follows Hudak and closes in on the face-faker with the crossbow.
Move to BC 3-4 and attacking the face-faker in B5. Attack roll 10+8+1(bard)-2(PA)=AC 17, damage 15+4+1(bard)+4(PA)=24.
Alwyn lashes out but the face-faker dodges and mainly takes the flat of the blade instead. But such is the force of the blow that its body deforms under the impact, like wet clay hit with a hammer. But it somehow still lives in that hideous state, its shoulder dented and its arm dangling.

Alwyn shakes his head at the faceless thing's stubborn refusal to just lie down and die. "I am impressed..., impressed and repulsed by these things. I guess their gods gave them toughness in return for becoming such hideous monstrosities."
I think a double-move last turn would have gotten Elisile about halfway up the stairs, to about B6. She’ll now take another double move to get into the room above.
"You have not finished them yet Shoanti?" quips the elf, surveying the situation.
As Ithers and Fatespinner are both out for a while: Illes runs up the stairs after Elisile, getting about halfway up. Vethran then follows him with a normal move, getting a quarter of the way up or so.
Alwyn keeps hacking at the bleeding face-faker.
No move. Attacking the face-faker with 3-point Power Attack. Attack roll 13+8+1(bard)-3(PA)=AC 19, damage 14+4+1(bard)+6(PA)=25.
End of combat - 750xp each. The stairs carry on up from this floor to the top of the tower.
Is XP for the golem downstairs included in that total?
Elisile looks at the stairs leading up, a delicate eyebrow raised.
"It seems likely that anyone waiting above will have heard the battle here," she muses softly. "There is probably little benefit in stealth. Let us re-group and heal here if required, before continuing as a group."
"Ah yes." Alwyn smiles contentedly as the bisected face-faker collapses in a oozing heap. "Very nice. Now, one favour deserves another, so let me have a look at that..."
Casting Cure moderate wounds on Hudak, who recovers 14 hp. How's everybody else's health?

Elisile is down 5 hit points, she got hit by a face faker in the surprise round.
