Any word on whether Hideous Laughter had any effect?
Ah yes, sorry...
The creature stares at Illes for a moment, seemingly entranced and its twisted mouth turning up at the corners. Then it shakes its head and presses the attack.
By the way, I've noticed that there may be a problem with the way you (Hudak) use a shield but also swap between one-handed and two-handed use of your bastard sword. I think, per the rules, you can only use a two-handed weapon with a buckler. So you can use the b'sword one-handed and get the AC bonus of the shield, or you can use it two-handed and not get the benefit of the shield and take a -1 penalty to hit (they changed these rules slightly between 3.0 and 3.5). However, I think that you are using a heavy shield, and this swapping around isn't possible using that. You might want to re-jig your gear (and AC) to take account of this.
First friggin' combat with something big enough to use my Big Game Hunter feat and I spend every second of it unconcious...f~~*!
Dravite wakes up wondering why his hook is in hand instead of his bow.....
After making sure Dravite is alright, Elisile moves over and kneels down to investigate the downed golem. Search: 16+9 = 25
“You supposed this creature to be intelligent Vethran,” she muses, looking up at the evoker. “I have not heard of such a thing; but if true, it could indicate that this Xanesha is a very powerful spell-caster to have such a guardian.”

Yes. However, since you get most punch from being able to use the sword two-handed you might want to swap to a buckler instead of a heavy shield. Otherwise you have to take the shield off in order to use your weapon two-handed, which is an action, and then you can't swap at will.
Alwyn gives the stitchwork abomination's head a good kick, sending it flying into the darkness. "Let's take a look inside, shall we? If anything else is in there, it must have heard this ruckus, so be prepared for the worst."
I think we've spent 5 rounds after Patch-man went down before being ready for more action, if anyone's counting.
Elisilizard nods in agreement, and heads forward with the others, after casting another enhancing spell on herself and retrieving a scroll from her pack.
Casts Cat’s Grace just prior to entering the tower and takes out a scroll of mirror image. Also, she offers to cast Enlarge Person on Hudak or Alwyn or anyone else who wants it.
With spells currently active her AC is 25.

The open door to the lighthouse awaits.
I think that sounds like a plan...I'll also make sure to be more explicit about my status re: sword and board. (URK! I SAID SWORD AND BOARD!!!)
“You supposed this creature to be intelligent Vethran,” she muses, looking up at the evoker. “I have not heard of such a thing; but if true, it could indicate that this Xanesha is a very powerful spell-caster to have such a guardian.”
"Either that, or the intelligence was an unintended side-effect of a binding ritual gone awry. There's really no way to be certain at this point, but I would err on the side of caution. Be watchful for signs of her magics in the future. We don't know what she's capable of."
The inside of the tower is mostly filled with rubbish, a few sagging wooden walls dividing up the space on the lowest level. A rickety-looking wooden staircase clings to the interior wall of the tower as it ascends in a spiral.
No, they don't look especially safe. The tower is about 25' across the bottom and maybe 100' high.
I wuz wantin' ta be burnin' doon da ol' house, now I be thinkin' we should be knockin' doon dis ol' tower. What be in dere will be needin' ta be coomin' doon ta us or fall wit' de tower. I be gettin' no where near dem stairs!
"The stairs must have been able to support our stitched-up friend, so they can't be that unsafe, right?" Alwyn doesn't sound entirely convinced by his own argument.
“I can manifest wings for a brief period,” answers Elisile, gazing upwards. “I could probably fly to the top, but my flight is quite slow, and I would not have the energy to maintain the wings for the flight back down. As for the golem, it was resting here at the ground floor, it may not use the stair.”
She looks at the other wizard. “You seem quite knowledgeable about buildings and structures; do you observe any points along the stair that look particularly unsound? If you can point any-such out to me, I propose that I go carefully up the stairs first, and should they collapse below me I may be able to fly to safety. If it seems safe enough, the rest of you may follow.”
Pending a Knowledge (Architecture and Engineering) check from Veth, Elisile will start moving slowly, carefully and quietly up the stair, examining the treads for any sign of previous passage or footprints, particularly any indications that certain treads may have been by-passed by the tower’s inhabitants.
Move Silently: 14+7 = 21, Search: 6+9 = 15, Survival: 17+6 = 23. Ready to use Sudden Shift as an immediate action to grow wings and fly to safety should the stairs collapse etc.
Elisile keeps going until either she reaches the top, or a doorway, or some point where to go any further would put her out of sight of her companions. At whatever that point is she will stop and watch and listen for any signs of danger Spot: 9+6 = 15, Listen: 12+6 = 18 then return to report her findings.
Kn Arch&Engi: Nat 20! + 12 = 32. Dammit, I know everything about those stairs. :)
Not just those stairs, but all possible permutations of steps, stairs and ladders. More pertinently, you reckon they will hold the weight of the party.
"The way these stairs creak, we probably won't be able to sneak up on anything awake. So let's be reasonably quiet - no yelling and singing, just in case whatever might be here is inattentive." With that, Alwyn carefully makes his way up the stair.
Yeah, ummm....I be tinkin' no fer dem stairs..... I'll be hanging ootside fer a spell, toss any bastards doon to me fer killin' an' I'll be watchin' fer 'im. It don't be lookin' too big in dere anyway.
Dravite goes outside to wait, bow out, watching the tower.
