You can make it to a corner. You accidently bump into Homer on the way through.
Your e-ray vision will help you see through walls and such, but it doesn't act like thermographic vision.

You take a couple of quick photos. Then you duck for a corner of the room. A second after you do so, you feel someone crash into you.

You head for a corner. You bump into a least one person on the way and discover someone is already crouched in the corner. You discover this the hard way, as you blindly crash into that someone. You bash your nose and it really smarts.
By the way, your PDC does not have infrared recording. You also a have the multicorder, which came with the equipment we picked up. It is bigger, and better for filming. Unfortunately, you don't have an infrared filter for it.
In addition to the various comments we have heard, there are a couple of quick camera flashes. Then there is a lot of thumping and bumping in the darkness as people suddenly start moving around. You hear people groan. Homer starts shouting.
<Horton follows along rambling off a running commentary... until the lights go out that is.>

Wait for a flash to get my bearings (or use infra red on the multicorder if I have it), get the hypo ready, and when I find a likely target (preferably Boris) drive it in after the flashes (don't record it though). Then turn the multicorder back on and if it has a light turn the light on.
The multi cammera has a nightvision mode. However, you need to activate it, which is a more complex task than it needs to be.
The two camera flashes happen to go off right when you are looking towards the camera. You are blinded for a brief instant, and don't really get a look at where anyone went. A couple of seconds later, you do hear a some ruckus in one corner of the elevator, and a groan that sounded a bit like Boris's voice.
A gernade in this confined space will probably kill everyone...

1]He was given the assignment to take out the Pro-Tech member. He's feeling like he's a little incompetent because he hasn't yet figured out who he is. Well, now he doesn't need to.
2]Another motive is that, as a Frankenstein Destroyer, he needs to take out that robot. He's hoping that he'll get lucky and the grenade will destroy it, too.
3]Also, having died once, he realized that death isn't that bad when you are a troubleshooter. You get you come right back, pick up all your possessions and you're squeaky clean!
4]Besides, I just could not resist throwing a grenade in a crowded elevator.

After Logan tosses the grenade, he hides behind the nearest body, hoping it will provide some cover.
The next thing you know you are all sitting in a briefing room. You are the only ones in the briefing room. The only gear you seem to have is your red jump suites and boots and new PDCs.
Your memories are a little foggy. You have some vague memories of browsing some weird market, and flying around with a green citizen, but everything is very hazy.
Greetings citizens. I regret to inform you that there was a commie traitor lurking among you party on your previous mission. That foul traitor detonated a powerful explosive in an elevator you were riding in. The resulting explosion, brutally maimed and/or killed your entire team, and destroyed the prototype bot that you were to field testing. Because, we could not be sure which team member was the traitor we could afford to take no chances, and the survivors of the explosion were terminated.
Due to the actions of this commie traitor the mission was a failure.
However, I am completely confident that your fresh new clones will be utterly loyal servants to Alphacomplex and your friend the Computer.

You died and then you were recanted and sent back to your service firm. It's been three days since your decanting. During that time you likely have had a chance to get back in touch with various contacts.
I've got a lot to do today, but I'll be forwarding you new secret society mission objectives, and other alterations to your new clone over the next day or two. Then I'll run you new mission briefing, and try to fast froward through some of the beginning stuff (like going to PLC outfitters). That way you can actually get involved in a mission (not that accomplishing missions is really that important in this game)
Everyone. I would like to sincerely apologize for derailing the game and all of your best laid evil plans. That was not my intention. I have learned my lesson. This game is about controlled chaos not utter chaos. I'm sure that Logan-R-RUN-3 will be a little more subtle.

I used to play Champions (we didn't use maximums) and some guy concocted a power that basically was an explosion he could use every 10 years. It was area effect, killing, and just massive. The character's name was "GoNova".
Needless to say he used it once and killed everyone, including most of the guys on his team.
Until this coming Friday work is going to be really busy for me, so I doubt I'll be able to post all that much this coming week. After that I should be able keep going full steam ahead again.
The problem with running this game is that it is almost like running a separate game for each player since, I'm constantly going back and forth with the different characters. However, I knew it would be like that when I decided to run it, and I don't mind it; it just makes it a little more work to run than other pbps. However, I've been liking the fast pace and the freeform nature of the game, and I've pretty much just been making stuff up as I go anyhow, so having a gernade nuke the party and having to start from scratch isn't a big deal. Though for this next round, I might pull so stuff out of some published material I recently acquired.
OOC:I think the wrong person got stabbed, someone blew everyone up, and if that person had been stabbed, I think the "innocent" might have lived, and Homer-G-DUF as well

Your new clone has some issues. It seems to have some hives that are incredibly itchy and give off a bit of stink. Your hygiene is reduced by 2. You also find that you are extremely bubbly and chipper, despite the itchy rash that makes you constantly scratch yourself.

Your comrades have recontacted you, and have given you a some new pamphlets to distribute. They have also learned that your new mission is scheduled to take you into a tech services training facility. There is a man in tech services named Yuri-O-KOF-5, he is a member of the commies, but your contacts believe he is spy for the computer. To aid you in killing Yuri they have given you a needle with a does of poison. It won't kick in right away and it will make it look like heart failure. You only have one good dose. It's green clearance. They want you to take him out. Continue to sabotage any mission that looks like it will benefit the computer.

Over the past couple of days a contact from DEF LEPARD have been in touch. He has given you a few handy gadgets to spread fun. Some little popper/fireworks (yellow), a stink bomb (green clearance), chip with a virus programmed on it that will cause vendabots to make pornographic sex noises (they heard that your next mission would involve investigating such bots. They would like you to infect any vendabots you can.
You have been given another implant. However, your cell associates are quite disappointed with the outcome of your last mission. Due to the destruction of the party it was canned before you had any opportunities to gain access to the R&D lab they had hoped you might locate. They have no data on your new mission. However they are still questing for uranium, and they recommend that you keep your eyes out for any fellow Pro Tech members that you might encounter along the way. The head of your group Eugene-Y-TIC has given a chip to go in your PDC that will allow for encrypted communications with your cell. The encryption makes your messages appear to be harmless computer SPAM. Once you get the details of your mission they want you to contact them to see if they have any new mission goals for you.
A busty woman in a blue suite enters the room. She has long blonde hair and obviously takes good care of herself. Due to your lack of libido you don't fully appreciate her assets, but even so you feel a slight tinge of stimulation, as though some deeply suppressed and latent portion of your psyche (and parts lower) has almost been awakened. Then again maybe it's just the medication.
You all smile. Though it is a little hard to maintain since you are certain that someone farted. You didn't hear anything, but it smells like a nasty decanting fart (though you've had a few days to get rid of those). The woman sniffs the air and her face crinkles slightly. For a second she looks like she might chirp, but she holds it together.
"Greetings citizens. My name is Pamela-B-JOB. I've been going through your files. It seems as though your first mission met with an unfortunate tragedy. Fear not, the computer is confident that this new mission will give you a chance to redeem yourselves and bring glory to Alphacomplex. This mission is not as glamourous as your previous assignment, but still vitally important.
Tech services has been reporting some unusual behavior from their vendobots in their Dev-Y institute- a training facility here in TPK sector. Your mission is to look for treasonous programming in their code, but this is a secret. Your cover mission is to stock these vending machines with a new brand of Algae chip- Happy Shapey Chippies. Why a cover story you may ask? Because the traitors may be mechanics in tech services. But what are the chances of that right? It's not like they have total access to the vendobots or anything. You'll have authorization to stock the vendobots as well, so they shouldn't get in your way. If they do I'm sure you'll know how to deal properly with things getting in your way."
For this mission you will be receiving new Mandatory Bonus Duties. Horton you shall be the team leader for this mission. Tru, you will be our loyalty officer. Boris you shall be our Happiness officer. Logan you will be the Recording officer, Bob you will be our equipment guy, and Tim you will be the hygiene officer for this mission.
We need you to get started on this mission right away. You can all thank me for having it here for you right now, and thus having saved you a trip to PLC outfitting. You will each get a box of Happy Shapey Chippies to stock in the vendobots. Don't eat them. Here are you three red laserbarrels (each). Horton take this certificate. If anyone hassles your team about doing your job present it to them (the sign reads- "WARNING these troubleshooters are stocking vendobots. Do not interfere or you may be liable for treason under more mandates than can fit in this space!").
If you find a vendobot with treasonous code, alert me at once. If the vendobot is normal, move onto the next. I am told there are only four vendobots in the facility, so they'll be easy to spot. When you are finished with all the vendobots in the institute return here for debriefing."
You are each sitting near Logan at the briefing, and you happen to notice that he has some kind of hive like rash on his face. He seems to scratch it a lot, and it kind of stinks. Some of the hives even ooze a bit of puss.
