The green citizen looks as though he's starting to grow impatient. He glares at Bob.
"Would you hurry up and finish your hygiene inspections. I have places to be and you citizens are my escorts."
I asked a few posts back if we were done with the escort part and you didn't reply ...just checked, it was 25 posts ago, prior to the whole hygiene portion.
"Sir, it won't be much longer, I wouldn't want one of my troubleshooters to offend your olfactory senses"
"It was just a decanting fart. Heck I'm a fresh clone! Ahem, due to the shameful behavior of my progenitor which I in no way intend to repeat. Yup, Horton-TPK-2 is loyal to the core! And happy, too!"
"It looks like Bob has basically finished the inspection. Most you are passable. If you fail any future hygiene inspections in this sector. I will hold your inspector responsible for not promptly administering proper ESPs. Follow me.
Homer and orange citizen lead you down a few hallways- mostly infrared or red clearance. You come to a large window that runs floor to ceiling along a stretch of wall of one side of the hall. Looking out the window, you find yourselves looking down on a massive green house operation. Long fields of real fruit and vegetables are being grown.
Homer smiles. "I need to go down there for a few minutes. That area is well beyond your security clearance. However, I think you'll find something of interest to you while you're waiting. Take the elevator down to level N12. Have a look around, but be back in 20 minutes. I'm sending citizen Barneby-O-TPK-4 with you. He has a quick errand to do for me. See you later.
Homer moves to a nearby elevator bank. The one he gets on has yellow clearance. Barneby points to a nearby elevator. It only has red clearance.
We're taking this one
You hop on the elevator and head down to level N12. The elevator ride is speedy. When you get out, Barneby leads you see that this portion of the sector is significantly dirtier than up top. Grungy pipes run along the ceiling, and industrial scents and sounds pervade the air. You walk through the hall for a short distance, passing only a few maintenance type bots. The Equipment Guy is sill stuck dragging the bot crate, so it slows things down a little. Fortunately, the crate has little wheels. Soon you come to a set of double doors. Bareby presses a button and they slide open. Beyond, you see a wide hallway. Dozens of little market stalls have been set up, and various vendors are hawking their wares. Much of the stuff is legal stuff, but you suspect plenty of restricted items could be found here as well.
Barneby says, "Have a look around, but meet me back at these doors in ten. I don't want to be late."
The orange citizen will be conducting a bit of his own business, so you have chance to split up a little here and try to accomplish some personal goals. Tru is going to struggle a bit since he's responsible for the big bot that are lugging around.
"Permission to shop granted, meet back here in 8 minutes, so we'll all be here When Citizen Barneby returns. I will stay here while you all shop. Get me a B3 cola please." "Tru, I will watch the bot crate so you can shop" I will sit on the crate
"Yippee!" Tim runs off, checking the time on his PDC every few seconds.
Shopping List: Pack of Cancer-Lites

Super Glue (presuming, of course, that all these things are within my security clearance to possess...)

Spoiler:
Keeping an eye out for the following: Glass cutter, hacking software, tools useful for rewiring/sabatoging/modifying bots. If I find anything I can buy/afford, I'll do so, being sure to keep an eye out for Horton, any other team members, or any security forces or cameras nearby.
Anything that can cause trouble. Buttons, switches, levers, loose fitted pipes....
<... any good shots. He pans across the faces of his team-mates.>
"The men are taking a few minutes to trade their hard earned credits for some simple pleasures. Boris is sitting on the bot. How will we assemble it in time, it is after all part of the mission. He must have already read the manual and is confident that he can finish the task."
It should be noted that these secret underground markets are illegal. Being at one is treason (but often worthwhile if you don't get caught). Therefore filming yourselves at the market is not a great idea. It also means that Homer isn't the most loyal citizen in alphaplex if he is sending you to one.
Sorry I haven't posted lately. I had a trip to the other side of the state, and I was away from a computer.
Bob goes into the stands and...
Spoiler:
I assume I won't find anyone selling weapons-grade uranium? If not, I will just buy a serving of Cold Fun and a decent-sized box that a red citizen can carry and doesn't look too suspicious.
extra laser body and 3 barrels. brass knuckles, knife, sword, and 2 grenades, all red gear cost 300creds Also, I'll buy a 6-pack of B3 and some yum yum bars
"Permission to shop granted, meet back here in 8 minutes, so we'll all be here When Citizen Barneby returns. I will stay here while you all shop. Get me a B3 cola please." "Tru, I will watch the bot crate so you can shop" I will sit on the crate
OOC: you had changed that post on me.

"Yes, fearless leader." Tru immediately complies with Boris' order.
For the Gm's eyes only
Spoiler:
Where can I shop? And what equipment are available?Frankly the screwed up briefing has me at a loss on what gadgets would be relevant. Plastique? LOL
You are unable to find a guass gun, but you get your hands on few gernades (20 credits each), a green pistol barrel (50 credits), a can of red spray paint (100 credits), and a fine looking spoon.
I'll get both red-painted barrels, and the soap, did I get the other Red-clearance stuff? I'll get one less standard red barrel also, to make up for the price, since I think that about taps me...
"Yippee!" Tim runs off, checking the time on his PDC every few seconds.

Tim
Spoiler:
you can get the first few things. The superglue is 20 credits and is yellow clearance (but the vendor is happy to sell it to you). You do some discreet questioning about electronics tools and hacking software. Which leads you to a shifty vendor, who is willing to sell you a chip that he claims has a highly effective barrier cracking program (150 credits). He can also sell you a basic electronics tool kit for the same price.
Logan finds a lonely spot where no one will see him and uses the red spray paint to turn the GREEN laser barrel into a RED laser barrel. He attaches this to his grip, holsters it, and then makes his make back to the team.
"Hey, Boris. Nice uhh... sword." Logan says, eyeing him warily. Then perkily, "Look! I got nice spoon!"
"Yippee!" Tim runs off, checking the time on his PDC every few seconds.

GM:[spoiler]I will go ahead and purchase everything, concealing the chip in my hatband and the superglue in my boot.
Tim runs up, checking his PDC
"22 seconds to spare! Here's your cola, Team Leader. Woah. Big sword. Nice spoon, Logan."
"Why thank you, Tim. I appreciate a man who appreciates a good spoon. You know why that is, Tim? It's because a man that loves a spoon is not a communist. Think about it. A capitalist wants you to buy more eating utensils, so they can make more money, right? So they split the spork in two so you have to buy both a fork and a spoon. Brilliant!
"But those commies don't give a damn about making money; they just want to spread it all around, see? So what do they do? That's right: Nothing! They leave the spork alone. It's easier to spread around that way. And that my friend, is how to find out who's a friend and who's a commie bastard."
