*Scarab of protection absorbs energy drain, negative energy, death effects (12 charges)
Fragos Voxlauer(Male Human Cleric 16/ Ordained Champion of Heironeous 5)
Fragos advances on the pile of flesh. "No matter what it is, it certainly does not belong in a place like this."
The aura won't affect the casting of the spell. It would affect you spellcraft checks if you suffered an AoO due to casting. But since you make all three saves you'll be fine.
Assuming the Shadowwalk is cast successfully, Raizen grabs Jahangir and says, "We gotta go! We won't last long against these things!" Then they escape through the Shadow realm.
Fragos Voxlauer(Male Human Cleric 16/ Ordained Champion of Heironeous 5)
Knowledge (the planes) 16+5=21. Fragos may be many things, but he's not much of a scholar...
After looking around a moment and studying the pile of quivering flesh, Fragos is sure that this thing is multitude of Manes. Not only that but they are, were the people of the church.
What Fragos knows of Manes:
Manes are the lowest of demonic life, the tranformed physical shell of a mortal's souls after it reaches the abyss. They are feeble in combat, but burst into clouds of acidic vapor when slain
What troubles the cleric most is that only the most vile, chaotic evil, are turned into manes.
Rhiann clings tight to the swordsage. "Why did this happen? Why would the gods let this happen?"
She stares deep into his eyes, "If it hadn't been for you, and your friends" and leans to kiss him
Tarlan
Spoiler:
Remember that sense motive I had you make. You missed the check by 3. SO you're flatfooted for this. I need you to make a Will save. It's a charm effect so you get a +2 to it.
This is the start of her surprise round. Using quicken suggetion she "suggests" that you go the Citadel north of town.
Depending on if you succeed the save the following happens and you can roll init.
You pretty much blew the save out the water, heh. Go ahead and roll init and take damage as per the last post. The three saves against poison are pretty low as long as ya don't fumble you'll be fine.
As the group looks on at the pulsating mound of flesh, they here a sharp gasp from behind. AS they turn they see Tarlan lip to lip with the young cleric, but three tentacles have pierced his flesh.
The tentacles retract leaving the swordsage in pain.
"That was nice", Rhiann places a bloody hand on her lips.
"Do your other friends kiss as good as you"
Fragos Voxlauer(Male Human Cleric 16/ Ordained Champion of Heironeous 5)
"Whoa! Demons!" Fragos gesticulates at the quivering mound of fles. "Step away from it; it will dissolve into acidic vapours. As for you..." He turns to the female demon. "BEGONE, and take your noisome minions with you!"
Casting Holy word. There's all sorts of blinding, deafening and killing effects associated with it, but the most important might be that all non-native outsiders in the area of effect are banished back to their home plane. They get a Will save (at a -4 penalty!) to avoid banishment. The baseline difficulty is DC 29.
Raizen and Jahangir step out of the coiling shadowstuff. In the distance, though hard to see due to multitutde of torches, to the west the see a great wall being seized.
Jahangir and Raizen look about at the puzzeled and angry faces of hundreds, thousands of corrupted and noncorrupted beings.

Can't be worse than with those 3 cysts
Raizen...WHY...Why did you say that! Your shadowwalk spell has you appear 1d10x100 feet=10,000 feet in a random direction (East) from your destination :(....
I'll come back to you guys after I finish with the other group.
Kutho makes his move against the demonic being. As he moves forward he tentacles lash forward.
'Rhiann' gets an AoO since she has reach. 1d20+26=41; Damage 1d4+4=8.
Kutho's stikes hit home (4 attacks hit), but het skin seems to resist some of the damage. And her demonic heritage seems to keep her safe from the flames.
"I'm sorry my love, but I have to leave. This kind is battle that I cannot win" Taking a step back she brushes Tarlan and Kuthos cheeks with her tenacles.
"Maybe next time" With that she vanishes from sight.
Kelgan
Spoiler:
As she left see used her quickened suggestion on you. Make a Will save. If you fail her command via telepath is this.
"Remove all you armor and weapons, and go to the Citadel in High Quarter"
As Rhiann departs the sound of heavy footsteps come from a door located by one of the Boccob statues. From the door burst a highly panicked Giorge.
"You guys do not want to go in there!" As he says this he slams the door closed, but is met with some resistance.
Yesh *looks at his last post* I should really try to wake up before I post.
Spoiler:
That combat bit the big one. I really thought she may have lasted longer, but that feel apart quick. I never thought (sorry about my doubts) Kutho would wind up hitting her so many times. And even with her DR he dropped her almost to half hp. Thank goodness for her cowardly streak, and the fact that teleport was prepared. Heck she even beat the 20% mishap due to the sigil.
Anyway looks like the show goes on, and Giorge has brought friends!
I got lucky..but it proved that taking an axiomatic weapon was a good idea...pity I couldnt have fitted holy in there as well though..it might have killed her then
Giorge strains against the door, trying his best to keep who or whatever is at bay.
Meanwhile as the others divide their attention between Giorge and the now missing Rhiann, the young girl makes her way into the church and toward the flesh pile.
Fragos Voxlauer(Male Human Cleric 16/ Ordained Champion of Heironeous 5)
"What's behind the door, Giorge? What's the... Um, excuse me, miss." Fragos steps between the newcomer and the pile of manes. "Stay away from those."
"Personally, I have no clue what they are. These things just aren't up my alley" A small, bloated, gray claw breaks threw the door by his head.
"If you wouldn't mind though...could use a hand...or a pew and altar. Whatever you can spare really"
Fragos Voxlauer(Male Human Cleric 16/ Ordained Champion of Heironeous 5)
Fortitude 4+29=33. Did she claw me, or was that a dagger or something similar?
"One second, Giorge." Fragos looks down on the green goo dripping from his cut hand. "You really shouldn't have done that, whatever you are." He lashes out with his sword.
Attack roll 13+28-4(subdual damage)=AC 41, damage 15+10=25 subdual+4 fire. My sword is cold iron if that makes any difference.

Lazaro:
Spoiler:
Sense motive 14+36=50.
"She stabbed me with some sort of poisoned blade, so I knocked her out. She's probably the plaything of the demon that just split. No need to kill her. At least not yet. Now what was that in the other room?"
With there attention still divided, the flesh pile erupts in a spray of crimson mist and gore. A serpentine head strikes from the flesh mound, followed quickly by a crimson claw.
The hits land rather softly on the Blade of Ragnarok
Serpent 1d20+25=44; Claw 1d20+27=45; Thanks to your DR, Kelgan only takes 3 points of damage, but you will need to make three successful (1 save a round) Fortitude saves against poison.
Out of the mass steps a crimson skinned fiend. It stands well over 12 feet tall, with clawed hands, and the head of a leering demonic hyena. A snake protrudes from the side of it's neck.
"Hmph, seems I find worthy quarry"
We'll be keeping the inits rolled for the last combat.
Quick layout of the room. The main hall is 100ft by 45ft. The northern part has three statues of Bocobb surrounding a glowing blue pool. Other than the bodies scattered about it's pretty easy to move about. This places seems more a place of research than a place of worship.
Tarlan is pretty much by himself. Being a good 60ft from the action. Kutho and Giorge are at the east side blocking the door from what's trying to break threw. Giorge and Kelgan have front row seats though.
