I'm not certain if characters on a trial account are able to sign charters or not. I don't believe they are. If you're enjoying the game, though, upgrade to the full account for all the goodies!

I think my trial account ends tomorrow anyway. I just figured I might as well use up the time that doesn't cost me anything before I started paying.

ok; for a lot of high level stuff two clerics are needed so I can make one; Undead clerics are the tuffest imho; I have played a cleric of every race both alliance and horde up to around 30 or 40 and that is just my take on it, but; they are not that appealing to look at all the time playing from the rear and think trolls look the best; anyway; will make up someone and post the name so we can get a guild going.

Ok; I made a troll priestess named Mahoe; Kudos if you can guess the origin of her name or why; hint; she has blue skin and hair.

anyway; thought I might do some collecting as the proffessions seems to be pretty good

if someone could make me some wands, I would really appreciate it

If it's not too late, I'm totally on board for this. I gave up WoW a while back because of a lack of in-game friends to adventure with, but a Paizo clan sounds like a good group. Since my last character was an undead warrior named Dargotha, you can imagine how much Paizo has influenced my gaming (my other main character was a paladin named Palamon, so Paizo actually shares company with Shakespeare for character inspirations.)

I was just looking at trying out the Burning Crusade free demo, so if that keeps me from actually signing a charter, I may not be any help for a bit. It may be a couple weeks until I can put together the scratch to re-up my account.

With no other preference to race or class other than to have the opportunity to be useful and unique-ish, what would y'all recommend I create for this show?

We don't have any druids yet. You could do that if you wanted to be original. We're a bit short on healers in general, really. Lilith has a paladin and Celestial Healer's got a priest, but that's really it (well, TK has a shaman, but those aren't really designed to be main healer classes, especially since I don't think he's Healing-specced).

I don't think we have any rogues either, come to think of it. That might be more useful than a healer. You can open all the lockboxes I've been fishing up! :D

Doh! I just caught up on this thread and saw that Val made a priest too. I think we should be okay on healers, but druids are still handy anyway, so don't let it sway you. Just don't feel compelled to make a healer if you don't want to.

Trey,

I just rolled a druid alt too, to have in the closet should one be needed. I don't think more than one would be a problem, though, since they can be specced so differently.

As it stands, I'm thinking it's more likely the Warrior Tauren will be the main, but will develop them both and see what is needed once we get rolling.

Warriors are always handy, especially given our current lack of 'tanks.'

Mahoe?

I'm doing enchanting and can make a lesser wand (so far), so that's something. Send me an ingame mail to remind me and I will mail a wand back. This also goes for any other wand users who are going without. The more I make, the better they get.

I'm trying my hand with an Orc rogue named Durkha, but haven't gotten past level 4 yet. I may re-create him, though, 'cause I think I picked the most vapid facial expression when I designed him.

that's one of the problems with leveling a healer-spec, it just takes longer and isn't as fun as damage per second build. Druids aren't so bad at it though with a feral/restoration build. I've also haven't had too hard a time with healing or tanking with my retribution paladin. For shamans or priests though, It's a lot more of a trade-off.

Heh, my pally main on a different server is retrib spec. FUN!!! Especially when fighting the deaders. Between judgement and exorcism, I almost feel like a caster who gets to wear plate. And that is a fine, fine feeling.

Of course, this is only possible because I'm usually questing with my girlfriend's priest or druid. Every once in a while I am on solo, and someone will ask me to group because they are thingking Pally=healz=good. We always have to have the, "There's something we need to go over first" discussion.

Ok, back to Velen. My druid is about to get talents. Spec suggestions? Maybe a resto/feral split so the character can fill in with healing or off-tank as the situation requires?

I need to get back to leveling the warrior, too. I had been doing it in tandem with a friend and so didn't want to level out of those quests, but the guild calls.

Anyone hear how Lilith's move is going? I showed up at the gates of blood elf land with a U-Haul, but they said my papers weren't in order and gave me a ticket for a broken tail light.

Are we going to set up our own message board at some point? I'm wanting to query people about if anyone needs things I have, but I'm not sure I should be pushing on-topic recent posts off the sidebar with stuff like that.

Eh, we're in the off-topic section anyway. Bumping this thread around isn't really an issue in my opinion.

I haven't been playing my mage much lately since I wanted to give folks a chance to catch up to me (and accumulate rest state). I will be looking to do Blackfathom Depths and Shadowfang Keep when everyone is around 22-25, though. Lots of good stuff in those instances, especially for cloth-wearing folks and staff users! Some good shields and weapons for you tanky types as well. Leather drops are kinda sucky, unfortunately.

Valegrim,

39 Efreeti avatar

well; i still have linen and herbs; mostly low level stuff and light leather; i have most of the ragefire quests now; so would be cool if we want to do that. Will be on tonight.

I'm down...

I'm usually on weeknights ~7:30pm-10pm PST. However, I'm also dividing my time amongst three toons, now. But I'll prolly run Besel at least for a while this evening (of course, how closely I pay attention depends on how good tonight's episode of Heroes is...).

David Holden,

I don't have "World of Warcraft," so I won't be able to participate unfortunately--but! I saw some of your comments on names, and one that I thought would be good for a Paizo-related guild is "Paizomen" (which is Greek for "We play" or "We are playing," just like Paizo is "I play"). This has the added double meaning of "Paizo-Men," which is purely coincidental. =)

Besel, do you need more linen; am gonna kill some murlocks for you to try to get some pearls as you will need those for that cloak that is pretty cool. let me know if you need some leather; If we played on a server I had some toons I could make bags for everyone and hand out money and stuff; but we are all poor and bagless I guess; I only have two 6 slotters and about 60 silver at 14th level; is weird; oh; thanks much for the wand; the 11.6 dps is much much better than my 2.8 mace.

Fletch,

I think my 10-day trial is expiring this week, but I'm having enough fun to want to subscribe.

Has anyone tried setting play dates for getting together? I think Durkha, my orc rogue, is around level 9-ish now (having just completed the Dark Storms mission in Duratar). He is also set up as a scrounger with mining and skinning skills to produce raw materials for other crafters to use (I like the hunting for stuff, but the making of stuff gets a little grind-y).

I look forward to getting the group together, but want to remind all y'all experienced folks that this is my first time through and I'm looking forward to discovering all the stuff for the first time. If you can avoid spilling any spoilers and hand holding (like "you'll want this because it does that" or "make sure you go there because there's cool stuff") I'd really appreciate it.

By the way, I dig the name "Paizomen". If I get a vote, that's it.

I spent some time working the professions last night, so I'm now onto wool and 8 slot bags(woot!).

If'n ya wannem, mail me (Besel) some mats and I'll send ya baggy goodness...

An 8 slot Woolen Bag, or if you're one of them swanky types, you can get a Green Woolen Bag.

I can also now make a Greater Magic Wand. For other Enchantments available, my skill is now 73 (but I'm pretty sure Wormfood has a higher skill).

As far as the guild name goes... I'm still pulling for "Cosmo's Minions". Although "Paizonians" or "Paizomen" are both pretty good, as well.

Good to know. I'll start mailing my old herbs your way then, rather than vendor trashing them for negligible gain. Belerose is now a level 25 Warlock with Alchemy in around 160 and Herbalism more like 180 I think.

Trey: Thuronde, Tauren Warrior, ?/?
Valegrim: Mahoe, Troll Priest, ?/?
White Toymaker: Belerose, Blood Elf Warlock, Herbalism/Alchemy

0 Druids, 2 Hunters, 1 Mage, 1 Paladin, 3 Priests, 1 Rogue, 1 Shaman, 3 Warlocks, 2 Warriors

And Crafting breakdown:

I still need three signatures for the charter - I will definitely be on Saturday May 5th between 10am and 12pm. (Not a lot of time, but I gots me some stuff to do for the new place.)

Edit: I can also hop on for a bit at work during lunch, but my lunchtime isn't set in stone.

I might be able to get on Saturday. That would be almost midnight over here.

I did make Ungathwa a Herbalist/Alchemist. I can change that to Engineer. I tried Goblin Eng before, and was very disapointed. I guess I could try Gnomish. That Deathray is sick.

Lilith (Pathfinder Chronicles Charter Superscriber; Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Planet Stories Subscriber),

Here's what's in the guild bank currently (not much, but eh):

Light Armor Kit
2 Silver Bars
Gold Bar
5 Rough Sharpening Stones
Plans: Copper Chain Vest (Blacksmithing 35, Req. Lvl 5)
Pattern: Red Linen Bag (Tailoring 70)
7 Linen Bags (6 slots)
3 Malachite
20 Linen Bandages

I may be yoinking some of those Malachite for Fallengrace, have some items I'll be wanting to make.

I got some play time in yesterday. I'm now lvl 13. I found out you can do the lvl 10 Warrior weapon quest on both the UD side, and at Org. So now I have a pretty cool Axe and Sword.

I tried logging in today but my connection wasn't having it. Had a lovely 4 sentence conversation with Lareth (Not sure who the poster is)
I wasn't just booted, but I got the Blue Screen. I'm not sure how much more my laptop can take of that. But since I found out I will prolly be extended for another two months, I might go ahead and get a new laptop. I was thinking of using some of the money I have saved here to get a new desktop when I got back anyway.

Hopefully I will be playing again Sunday. I think that will be Saturday night for you wonderful people in the States.

'nother of mine. I'm like, ADD with characters or something -- I'll flip from one to another to another to another to another until I find one that catches my attention and then run that until the energizer bunny falls asleep at the drums and then go pass out and repeat. Made Lareth because I kept getting nice leather drops and so far as I know we are without a lockpicker anyway. Hope you have more luck next time you try to play.

I run the game exclusively on a laptop. I used to have all manner of connectivity and frame rate problems. So much so, that whenever I went into Org I had keep the camera pointed down at my character's feet or I would lag so badly that I'd have to log out. Yeah... it sucked.

But ALL of my performance issues were solved when I put a gig of RAM into my laptop.

So if you have >1 gig of RAM in your laptop, you may want to try just upgrading that. You can usually get a stick of RAM for US $100-$200 (or even cheaper), which is a sight less than the cost of a brand new laptop.

Of course if you just want a new lappy, I certainly can't fault you for that. : )

We are official PAIZONIANS now! Huzzah!

Thanks to Josh Frost, who nagged his wife's account and created "Paizorules" - a fetching blood elf lass - to sign the last signature on the charter.

Now! On to getting cashola for the guild tabard design - ten gold needed! *holds out a helm for cash collection* I found a nifty compass rose that would be cool for a tabard design - reminds me of Pathfinder, I would say...

Also, when you get on, join the Paizo global channel "/join #Paizo" I believe is the command - once you join and somebody who is guilded can get you an invite in so you don't have to get those pesky Guild Recruitment messages. :)

Sorry I haven't been around much over there lately. My wife's guild (of which I am a member) has a whole bunch of people who are getting into the 55-60 range now and I was needed (constantly) to help run Stratholme, Scholomance, Hellfire Citadel, and do various deeds to help our paladins and warlocks with their epic mount quests.

I'm curious to know what the ranking structure of the guild is. I vote for the following tiers:

1)Demon Queen of Victuals (Guild Leader - a.k.a. Lilith)
2)Paizonian Maximus (Paizo Staff Members)
3)Lord of the Board (Officers - Pretty much everyone will be here.)
4)Forum Troll (People who are affiliated with us but aren't actual posters on the forums, like wives, IRL friends, etc.)
5)Lurker (People who... don't fit anywhere else. Honestly, I wouldn't actually have anyone AT this rank, but I'm pretty sure it has to exist since the minimum rank tiers for a guild is 5.)

What does everyone think?

Kobold New folks to Paizo.
