So I bought the iOS version a long time ago and really loved it. I finished the Runelords AP and I also levelled a group of characters to max level (I think it was 40?) using the non-story option (the one that wasn't tie to the AP). Then I levelled another group of the remaining characters 1/2 way through the AP and life got busy.
Came back to the game last week and the non-story option was gone. I'm not sure the character still exist either. The Party Creation and Character Selection screens had changed and it was bad enough that I just turned off the iPad.
Hopefully this is fixed, hopefully a good multiplayer is coming, hopefully another AP sometime soon.
Thanks for the ability to link accounts, I will likely use the Windows version once a new AP is available.

Yeah, they dropped quest mode, which a ton of people are upset about. They also aren't likely to have another AP for a while, as their next big update will have goblin characters and a mini-adventure path based on we be goblins. I'm personally not holding out a lot of hope for Pathfinder Adventures at this point, but I hope to be pleasantly surprised by being wrong.

So that's why I got a message about a bunch of free gold and my quest mode party. I hadn't touched quest mode in a long while because of how slow the advancement was - 6-7 scenarios per level meant playing through effectively two entire APs between skill feats.
Currently working on the last few scenarios in legendary mode...after that, I guess it's done until new content actually comes out?

Yes, Quest mode. I really liked Quest mode. /sadface
Quest mode was great, randomly generated locations, scenarios, villains, with a really slow grind to high level. Other special scenarios and locations could have been added in the future. Sigh.
And it didn't depend on an AP. I spent money on this game playing quest mode, now I'm not going to spend anything until the next AP.

I'm a little confused...
pathfinder.obsidian.net says a free base set, available for phones, tablets and PC on Steam.
And an Obsidian Dev stated here that if you buy a bundle for mobile it's universal and you won't have to re-buy it for PC.
How do I make this happen?

I think that got reversed. I am sure I saw a post that said if you bought Steam, you had full access on all platforms, however if you had paid for all on the tablet, you had to rebuy steam :-(
Obsidian have a thing called the Pathfinder ambassador program (details in obsidian forum) where there is a discount for people who have bought Tablet on their steam purchase, however not full refund.I am holding off on PC version until there is new AP content as I spent a LOT on the tablet version inc extra gold to get cards and I hate to have to pay more to get access for less content. Also the main replayablity for me was Quest mode, which they have dropped.
Early adopters get a kick in the teeth :-(

I am extremely disappointed in how Paizo has handled this.
Here is my note to Paizo in the general discussion forums.
I has a sad.

I agree that headline is puzzling. Nothing is free on the PC. Maybe they are saying the B cards are not adding to the price of the RotR game on steam (AD 1-6 are), but you can't play on Steam without paying.

That's a quote from *March 2016*. 15 months later, it seems plans have changed.
You have to buy the game on the PC, even if you bought it for your tablet/phone.
But, you are able to get some content free if this is your situation, as well as a 10% discount ( through the Pathfinder Ambassador program, announced here).
This program is live as of yesterday, with the directions posted here.
To qualify, you have to have spent at least $24.99 on the tablet/phone version.

Yeah, they should probably update the text in that box; while they've been moving platforms around the text itself is the same as when the game was released last year.
Because my chosen tablet/mobile gaming platform is Windows, I waited until now before committing any money to the game. This just gave me another reason to be glad I did.

WIthout having any inside knowledge, I'm pretty sure Paizo only licenses the Pathfinder property to Obsidian (hence their logo on the intro screen). Besides that, they probably have exactly zero say in any pricing or marketplace models.
Yeah, mobile early adopters got really shafted, but you should probably lay the blame on any or all of Obsidian, Asmodee and/or Steam.

If you read the original post and response, they were saying that the purchased in-game content would transfer across platforms, which is true. They did *not* say that if you had made in-game purchases that the PC version would be free.
And I let them know about the blurb on their page that wasn't updated correctly about the free Base Set.
