"The Dead Suns Adventure Path will run for a year, with a new volume released every other month."
A twelve part Adventure Path? Wow!
Sadly (for epicness) but gladly (for feasibility), only 6.

There are no pregens in the Adventure Path. However, we are creating pregenerated characters for the Starfinder Society Roleplaying Guild organized play program, which will work fine for the Adventure Path. These characters hould be available to download for free in August!
Just to check: if those pre-gens are for the Guild, won't they be 20-point builds? And doesn't the AP - not to mention bestiary entries, etc. - assume 15-point builds?

Pretty sure Pathfinder has used 20pt buy ever since going to pathfinder rules.
And Bestiary entries use arrays, not point buys to my knowledge.

Hello Robert,
i'm looking forward to this book. ;-)
From the updated description i can see that the players start at level 1 and will be level 3 at the end of it (a pace that seems to continue, which would make them level 12 or 13 at the end of the AP).
Can you share how many pages the main adventure will roughly have?
Personally, i guess about 40, considering the 5 articles (Absalom station gazetteer, Golarion artifacts, bestiary, new starship & new planet).
Thank you. :-)

This presumes either 15-point buy or 20-point buy are meaningful terms in Starfinder.

Starfinder uses a completely different system for buying ability scores than Pathfinder, so it won't be an issue!

Will we be able to convert preorders into subscriptions?
Paizo's current subscriptions remove one existing preorder from your account. So presuming these are the same, all you'll need to do is add a subscription and any single copy preorders will be removed. If you've preordered multiple copies subscribing should cancel only one of them.

As someone who only kind of knows Pathfinder and is picking up Starfinder as a more manageable beginning, I have to ask... what is the hype with akatas.
Not what they are; I know what a wiki is and was able to check it easy enough. But aside from causing a spit take from "This is a CR 1 monster", the wiki can only tell someone so much. So what is the hype; what have these little zombie making stealth wolves from behind the stars actually done to the playerbase to make them infamous?
And yes, I know typing out the sentence "zombie making stealth wolves" should be enough of an answer, but that's the buzz headline. I want the actual story.

I find it interesting that it doesn't say "Adventure Path" in big letters under the main logo.
It says it under the title of the AP... since Starfinder seems like it'll just be the core book, the Alien Archive, and AP volumes, there might not be as much need to differentiate product lines within the Starfinder umbrella.

(Setting aside the fact mentioned afterwards by someone that point-buy works differently in Starfinder.)
Just to explain what I meant ...
I know that the PF iconics have been build with 20 points since they were converted to PF. However, PF APs are calibrated for a party of four with 15-point builds, hence my wondering if the SF iconics were likewise "overpowered" for APs.
And my mention of the bestiary entries was also referring to how they are supposed to be calibrated as opposition to a party of four 15-point characters.
But thanks for the answer anyway! :)

Question
Normally, Adventure Path modules reference Bestiaries for standard monsters (because statblocks are space hogs). However, Alien Archive doesn't drop until October, after the second volume is out.
Will the first couple APs (or more) include full statblocks?
As the Alien Archive was likely still in production when this Adventure was written, is there any chance statblocks will change between this product being released and that book being releassed?

One of the big challenges with releasing the Adventure Path at the same time as the Core Rulebook was the fact that Alien Archive won't be out until October. As a result, the first few volumes of the AP make heavy use of the new monsters in the AP Alien Archives (the bestiary in the back of each volume), and where necessary, with full stat blocks.
