Hail and well met, Pathfinders!

This month finds me traveling to two conventions. On February 3rd, I'm off to Winter Fantasy in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where Tanis and I will launch the Season of the Runelords for the Adventure Card Guild. We've got a full slate of events—RPG scenarios and quests, as well as the ACG games and open play. There's plenty of space, so come on out and join me! With a new season comes a new organized play guide, so look for the new Adventure Card Game guide on paizo.com later this week. After a few days back in Seattle, I fly to Minnaepolis-St. Paul for Con of the North. Starting with a meet & greet Friday morning and ending with an RPG session on Sunday night, I've got a full slate of games planned. I can't wait to roll dice with other Society members. If you're attending, stop by and say hi!

Over the past two months, several people achieved their fifth star. I offer congratulations to the following for meeting the criteria—150 games ran, including 10 special events. Reaching 5 stars includes approximately 600 hours of game mastering, not including preparation time. So a resounding cheer for the following:

Jeremy Chapman
Brett Sweeny
Joshua Hancock
Alex Rockatansky
Terry Thambpailli
Michael Mayeau
Daniel Wheeler

Speaking of time commitments. Venture-Captains spend many hours planning events, organizing games, and making sure things run smoothly. Over the past few months, several of our Venture-Captains reached their three-year anniversary. Campaign Service Coins, each engraved with a unique number, are given to recognize such service to our Society. It is my pleasure to award Campaign Service Coins to VCs Michael Meunier (#751), Sebastian Schirrmeister (#752), and Wolf Vituschek (#753). Thank you very much for your effort and hard work on behalf of the Pathfinder Society. There is one other Society member that deserves recognition. Last November, tragedy struck Paris on the eve of PaizoCon France. Venture-Captain Karim Majere and Venture-Lieutenant Florent Fournol ensured the safety of the Pathfinders within their city. In the face of adversary, they adapted and overcame many difficulties to deliver a convention to their players. VC Karim received his Campaign Service Coin this past PaizoCon UK. I'm so very please to award Florent Coin #754 and thank him for his service to the Pathfinders.

The Venture-Agent program is off to a resounding start. With the launch of the program, Since January, I've promoted 182 people to this position, and more applications reach my inbox every day. Big thanks to everyone who stepped up and volunteered to help organize games.

Congratulations to all, and especially to Karim and Florent. It's one thing to do good in service of the game, but to deal with a real-life tragedy is especially notable.

Congratulations Florent!

And thanks to Florent, Karim, and the others who strived to reorganize the French PaizoCon.
We met up the day after 130 people we gunned down... and, for me at least, the Fantasy brought sanity, and the feeling of being safe and with friends.
Thanks for that

@jon I will be at GenCon this year :)

@Tonya thanks for the award, I don't know if I deserve it as I've done nothing exceptionnal during these dark days.

I would also like to thank Karim who made most of the work and give me the opportunity to be part of PFS and Sébastien L. (our own and only French Captain AbsalomTM) who help us gathering people near our original venue and send them in the different places where the games were reorganized on november 14th.

I also hope to reach my 5th star this year, only 4 specials remaining !

Congrats to all, and particularly to Florent for working through the near loss of his voice at GenCon this past summer to GM for the throngs of players.

I already offered my congratulations to Florent, but wanted to do so again publicly; and not just because he is GMing our a 3 PCs + Pregen CORE party through Emerald Spire at the moment... ;-)

And thanks to Jeff for the shout-out, and for helping me out all weekend at my first convention, running the initiative and quietly advising Players completely new-to-Pathfinder on where to find skills, HPs, attack bonuses and damage on their shiny pregen sheets made my life easier.

Unfortunately work commitments mean I won't be able to attend any other cons until later in the year, but PaizoCon UK is already in the diary and leave booked :-) Now, what to run......???

Oh, and congratulations again Florent. Well deserved.

Just be aware that at a certain point you'll need a 4th actual player, since a 7th level pregen (the highest level you can use) can't play past The Spire Axis (level 9). The Magma Vault on has a minimum character level of at least 8.

Thanks Tonya, and thanks everybody for the congratulations!

Myself, I'd like to thank the members of the academy the PbP players on the Paizo boards that have kept me entertained with all kinds of curveballs, as well as the players from the Netherlands (go to Leidsekade when you're there), Switzerland (GardenCon!), Germany, France, the UK, and elsewhere that I had the honour of meeting.

A special mention goes to the Emerald Spire players, the Grumpy Druid Squad, and the amazing group that went along with my wild experiment, and which is now halfway through the second consecutive season of PFS scenarios... all played over the paizo boards.

Congrats! :)
