Rivals!

Friday, May 27th, 2011

It's Friday, and even though Hyrum's out at BookExpo America this week, he and Crystal still managed to set us all up with another awesome wallpaper—this time featuring some of the excellent art in the new Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Rival Guide. Now wasn't that thoughtful?

Enjoy the long weekend, and we'll see you all on Tuesday!

"What?! A bunch of mortals get top billing and I don't?! What the #%^$?"

*much fidgeting, snarling, and rampant muttering of foul language*

"Clearly a demon of my standing deserves some air time, especially one such as myself who proudly has the ear (or mouth, whatever) of the Devourer of All!"

There, there little one.

Green isn't your color.

Good lookin' stuff.

The guy on the far right reminds of the combat trick High Sword, Low Axe from 3.5. *shudder* Such a nasty combo.

I like the Rival Guide. There rivals presented range the full gamut of motivations, alignments and possibilities - and none of them is just a statblock. They have complicated reasons, relations and driving ambitions. Great stuff!

That entire team reminds me of the iconic team for Rise of the Runelords: an arcanist showing a lot of skin, a woman dressed for business, a woman covering up most of her body, and a guy fighting florentine.

Thanks for choosing my group to make a wallpaper, Crystal!

These guys may be my favorite of the bunch. They're not out for world domination or anything like that, they just want to make some money through extremely unsavory means. They seem a lot more like real-world criminals in a lot of ways.

Where is the gnome?
