Golarion Day: Inner Sea World Guide Preview

OMG! GUESS WHAT HAPPENS NEXT WEEK? THE INNER SEA WORLD GUIDE DOES!

Seems like I've been working on this book for a year. Oh, wait. That's pretty much correct. Feels good that it's finally about to hit store shelves and reach subscribers. In the meantime... as proof that it exists... here are five screen shots I just took of five pages from the book, to whet appetites and let folks know just how awesome looking this book is going to be.

YES!!!

Absolutely cannot wait.

Happy dance.

What a difference a year makes!

And the Spine Dragon looks simply awesome!

I must say: even though all Pathfinder books have excellent page design, this takes the cake by far. Very attractive layouts. The fact that these screenshots are actually legible just makes it better.

Liberty's Edge

The Shoanti - finally they get their deserved own entry!
The pages look beautiful.

Can't wait for the book.. and loving the Spine Dragon! (Almost went blind deciphering what it all said, but worth it!)

The book looks fantastic. Looking forward to it :)

You need to learn to count though, James. That's five screenshots of a total of SIX pages ;)

OK, so this new layout walks into a bar, grabs the old layout, and throws him out of the window.

And the new layout orders a bucket. Of vodka. A bucket of vodka on fire. And drinks it. In one go. The he orders another bucket of vodka, pours it over the old layout, and sets him on fire.

And then he says "new layout's in down, bizzatches".

If I learn to count, then you'll get fewer previews. Is that really what you want?

This one is getting added to next month's order. I held off on buying the World Guide until now because I wanted the PFRPG version. :)

Exciting times.

+2 on the layout and general feel of the book being amazing... was just planning to grab the pdf, but think this will look stunning as a "real" tome.

Very exciting times indeed!

Grand Lodge

This book is indeed beautiful. The layout is fantastic and it's just crammed full of goodness! Well done to everyone!

Scarab Sages

My hands are longing to page through this tome.

That's just mean! You big meanie!

Love the Spine dragon but too bad it's natural attacks don't count as adamtine for the purpose of DR/hardness.

Pathfinder Starfinder Society Subscriber

Agreed, love the look of the layout. Very nice!

When I came back to this thread, the Shoanti image loaded later than all the rest, so for a second I thought that James had decided to punish you by removing one ;)

Man, I wish I could afford another subscription. Instead I'm going to have to decide between the book and the pdf. Either way, this book has obviously worth waiting for. Thanks for the sneak previews!

WOW! So glad I subscribed for this!

Love the appearance section in the races bit!

WANT!!!

I have to say i really like how they are showing the countries. The one talked about in color and the rest around them grayed out. I like that far better than the dotted lines they had before.

SQUEEEEE! Ahem, I mean, oh, it's arrives next week? I am quite pleased by this.

Definite improvement in the Worldwound illo from the "blurry Grand Canyon" of the PCCS. Sweetness!

Soooo ..the new layout is a Shoanti then :)

Liberty's Edge

This book looks awesome!

Just by the pictures I can tell that this is going to be a step up from even Paizo's previous Pathfinder Settings publishings, and thats a tough feat to accomplish.

I hope we get another hardcover book like this next year for the Pathfinder Setting.

Layout and design does look great. This looks like it will be a beautiful book.

Yes, that's a nice feature. I loved that in the 3.5 Eberron Campaign Setting!

That's one cute dragon.

Sovereign Court

Wow, as if I wasn't excited enough already! :D

I'm so glad to have a birthday in March. (Drool...drool...)

Liberty's Edge

Pre-ordered this last week. So excited! I've been holding off buying the old Campaign Guide for this one and I think it will be well worth the wait.

CURSE YOU JAMES THE TYRANOSAUR! Now I have to buy the book. The spine dragon is what sold me.

Dark Archive

Do want... Do want ever so badly...

And right in time for my birthday! You guys are so thoughtful :]

Too true, looks really good, can't wait for the dead tree!

Will the giant robot scorpion with gatling guns for arms and a particle accelerator cannon for a tail be stated as well?

Same here and I can tell you that you'll love it. Full of color, great ideas for hooks, monsters, magic, etc. Even at 4 pages per country/region I kept wanting MORE!!!

Credit where credit's due: this one was designed and laid out by our graphic designer, Andrew, who gave Sarah a much-needed break from laying out another hardcover tome.

Not in this book.

Someday, though, he will be.

If that hint applies to an upcoming AP (say in an anniversary year) villain I would glad to hear it.

Nothing about Numeria has anything to do with an anniversary of any sort.

Note: I did NOT say "Nothing about Numeria has anything to do with an adventure path."

Make of that what you will. ;-P

Thank God it's coming out soon. I've been fighting off ninja spies, terrorists, and the like trying to get at my computer and steal my copy of the World Guide. The hardest part was turning down Anna Chapman but I signed that nondisclosure and darn it, I'm sticking to it!

I wonder is there something new in this campaign setting, cause I don't remember those knights of Abendego,

Knoq Nixoy wrote:

Erm... I have a feeling there's a lot new in this campaign setting. The old one is 260 pages, compared to the new one's 320 pages.

For the record, the Knights were already in the old CS, except they were called Knights of Salvation or something like that.
