Rumbles in the Jungle

Friday, November 19, 2010

The Mwangi Expanse isn't the friendliest place you might ever visit, and as the concluding volumes of the Serpent Skull Adventure Path prove, it's not getting any nicer. Check out some of the jungle's weirdest and wildest denizens, brought to you in Pathfinder #40: "Vaults of Madness, Pathfinder #41: "The Thousand Fangs Below", and Pathfinder #42: "Sanctum of the Serpent God" by bold explorer and naturalist Chuck Lukacs.

GREAT ART!

I doubt that gecko could sell car insurance.

The jung squash definitely won't be on my Thanksgiving plate.

And why do all worms remind me of purple worms (or Dune's worms)?

If the choice was "Buy the car insurance plan or I'm going to eat you" I'd buy the car insurance. Although if he swallowed me whole, I'd try to cut my way out of him, possibly enjoying XP upon escape.

Now with more art.

Lukacs FTW!

Bottom left pic made me think of the floating islands in Avatar...

Other than that, these pics made me smile at how vicious a jungle can be.

Heh, I did a double-take when I saw this considering that the SS PbP I'm DMing is entitled Wardove's Rumble in the Jungle. XD

Myconids always remind me of A4: In the Dungeon of the Slavelords. What a great module!
