Advanced Player's Guide: It's Real!

Thursday, June 3, 2010

At last! Evidence of our last several months of hard work! Four printer proof copies of the Advanced Players Guide arrived today for our "yay" or "nay" before the full print run gets underway. But after an hour of scrutiny, gushing, and cackling, it's an emphatic "yay!" Just check it out! Sorry, folks, subscriber copies are still several weeks out, but if you don't have a copy spoken for already, well... Watch this spot for previews of the Advanced Player's Guide starting soon!

That would be scenic Village Games located in scenic Anoka MN on the scenic Rum River. They're not as big as the Source of course, but they're shop is still huge (tons of game room) and they carry quite a lot for miniatures and RPGs. Been in business for going on 6 or 7 years now I believe.

They're really pushing your products there and have been selling out of pretty much every companion or chronicle book they get in, even some of the third party material.

Both Dan and Carl (the owners) are currently running Pathfinder RPG games and are very happy with the rules. One home brew world and one running the Second Darkness campaign.

If you guys have any kind of promotional signage for Paizo I'm sure they'd be happy to display it.

Now that I've seen all four books together I have only one question to ask: To whom do I send my chiropractor bill to?

Hint: PDFs + laptop, iPad, or some other sort of eBook reader = no back pain.

And yes it looks like deceitful as a pre-req.

I'd also mention BattleHive II for less backpain as well.

Low Carbon diet? Why yes, I am eating less coal!

(and yes, I have been trying to slim down a bit, thanks for noticing)

I have a diet secret that worked really well for me. It is called pneumonia. I lost 10 lbs when I had it, plus my stomach shrunk so it was very easy for me to continue losing weight once I was healthy again. It might help. :)

I would imagine how much you could get would depend what it is attached too. :)

How about your soul? I intend to send my imps to steal Wes' copy (and his gorgeous bookends) and I might be willing to part with it if you swear eternal allegiance to Holy Asmodeus and Blessed Cheliax (I can always steal Sean's copy for myself). Just sign this contract with your blood...

Any ideas what's next in this line?

So we can expect 2 other prestige classes that begin before the letter M. The other two are the Master Chymist and the Battle Herald.

I'm going to go out and guess 11 prestige classes total with 6 more after page 271 here. Assuming it's page 271...

I predict a prestige class starting with the letter "S"...

From what I heard, the footage is the Breaking Bells music video. Mrs. Hendricks was the selling point for me. :)

I think that's code for stay tuned during GenCon.

As many of you know, we announce new products on a timeline predicated by our book distributor's catalog deadlines, which currently hit three times per year—or roughly, every four months. (We hear rumblings that *may* be changing, but for now, that's what it is.)

You might note that in mid-February, we announced products through December (more or less).

So we could see the announcement for the Jan-Apr products at PaizoCon, or not. :)
