That treant is awesome!

All three pictures are awesome. I really get the sense I'm being scolded in the third one, though I'm not sure what I did wrong. And now I can't wait to read about Outsea. That's entirely new, as far as I can tell.

The third one was the only one I didn't like, too comic-booky. It looks like the next team of X-men.

Okay I looooove the Treant illustration. That is just WAY cool! :o)

Thanks, SKR. Great blog to end the week.

You're not far off, actually.

Actually that was part of the reason why I loved this one. :) Sent chills down my spine - I would buy the orginal artwork, but I suspect I couldn't afford it. Feels like righteous outrage against a PC...as a GM I look forward to getting the mod as soon as it comes out.

Where's my pitchfork and torch...

Outsea is a complete bandit kinglet for the River Kingdoms written and conceived by a VERY special contributor, CHINA MIEVILLE! We were really excited to involve China in the project, and of course we were thrilled he agreed to participate.

You guys aren't going to believe what he came up with for Outsea. It is really incredible.

Damn! That...is...AWESOME!

Holy holy holy crap.

Whoa! That is effn' UNREAL - China Mieville...underwater? I am now officially at -10 hp and bleeding out...with excitement!

(Hey Erik- btw, this is Marcus, that guy you once sent a copy of Faiths & Pantheons, and Living Greyhawk, etc., to. How's it going? Pathfinder is the bomb. I've bought every single thing y'all have done- and I heart you all like mad - y'all keep on making just the most amazing decisions...)

That pic of Outsea is so gonna be my laptop's background for the month of Feb. by the way...

Will this Outseas stuff play a role in Kingmaker?

We'll have stats for a new monster that lives in Outsea in Pathfinder #32's bestiary, but that's about it. Kingmaker is really focused on only one region in the River Kingdoms: the Stolen land. Although Pitax has a pretty major role in the story.

Thank you, James, that is good to know. I'm really not a fan of Mievelle and his stuff, and that might have put me off Kingmaker which I am really looking forward to. (Don't really want another big disappointment this week, after Mass Effect 2)

Is mid-February still an accurate estimate of when these will be hitting the warehouse? Cause I don't think I can wait that long. If I start swimming now, do you think I can meet the boat half way?

Don't do it, Mark! You'll never make it! ;-)

+1! The treant is AWESOME, and I like the other two pictures a lot as well! :)

Love these pics, especially Outsea and Scolding. For some reason the Sahuagin just squatting on that table works for me.

I kind of always thought centaurs should have mane-like mohawks. Some fantasy comic ran with that idea but for the life of me I can't remember the name.

I'm really excited for this! Not too mention a little blown away that China Mieville is contributing. That just blows my mind.

I know, right? But it turns out, China's a really nice guy, and has a bit of gamer in him as well. Getting to work with him on both Outsea/Before They Were Giants/the ceratioidi in Pathfinder #32 was an awesome experience, and it blows my mind that a guy with that many awards would be a) so humble, and b) so excited about contributing to a campaign setting.

Just goes to show you that, no matter how successful they may be, nerds are still nerds. :)
