Cats are away…it's time for little goblins to play!

Wednesday, August 4, 2010

Sara Marie: Hey Crystal!

Crystal: Yes?

Sara Marie: I just brought an order down to the warehouse and I realized something!

Crystal: That cats do, in fact, float?

Sara Marie: You are the ONLY person down there.

Crystal: Yes, yes I am!

Sara Marie: Know what else I saw?

Crystal: The end, whereupon none were spared, not even the children?

Sara Marie: The editorial pit. Unattended.

Crystal: Well, I wouldn't call it "unattended." I'm still here.

Sara Marie: Precisely. Sutter's desk, all alone, with no one to guard it.

Crystal: His cans of beans left unattended...

Sara Marie: Suppose he's got anything good over there?

Crystal: Perhaps his collection of priceless pre-Columbian guitar picks?

Sara Marie: I meant interesting.

Crystal: Oh! Yes! I think he has the original Dead Sea Scrolls and the final manuscript of "Misfit Monsters".

Sara Marie: I just had an idea! The entire editorial staff is going to be working this week at Gen Con. Every single one.

Crystal: Two time zones away

Sara Marie: There is no way they're gonna have time to check on Paizo's website.

Crystal: Definitely no way! Plus, they'd have to time travel to do it. What with the time zones and all.

Sara Marie: We could totally put up a Misfit Monster or two on the blog. WE WOULD BE FAMOUS!!

Crystal: Famous, eh? I do enjoy fame… But... do we dare?

Sara Marie: Ooooh this one is snazzy!

Crystal: What are you looking at in there? Hang on. Let me chew through my leg chains... Holy Lamashtu! Is this the new Flail Snail?!

Sara Marie: Sweet! I knew there would be perks to not going to Gen Con!

Crystal: You mean besides avoiding the sleep loss, exposure to dangerous chemicals, vomiting and hair loss?

Sara Marie: I wonder who else left their office unattended...

If you are not in Indiana ...

Hmmm. So now we know for certain that the six new iconics will ocasionally be popping up in artwork...

Wow, the adherer hardly looks like a smegma / foreskin monster at all.

Dear Gorbacz,

Stop and think about that question for a moment. I think you'll find the answer rather disturbing, and regret that you asked it.

I don't know them or anything, but from what I can determine, I wouldn't mess with them. Ross seems like a smart guy ...

Okay, everyone, in the interest of expressing just how awesome this blog is, do you think we can get this thread to 100 posts within the next hour?

Edit:
we want to see more like it, right?

All things are possible.

Hmm. Maybe I should post a link down in the OTD forum, on the FAWTLHOUSE thread...

If we get enough interest, Crystal and I might have to risk death and dismemberment again tomorrow...

wonder who's office is least likely to be booby trapped...

It's clear who my two favorite Paizo employees now are. Now, if you could only tell me how to turn off the feature in OpenOffice that turns numbers in spreadsheets into dates, you'd be bumped up to Intermediate Goddesses.

Moved to be nice to Yasha

My sweet, sweet Imrijka in all her violent glory. Thanks for the new wallpaper girls. :-)

Okay, back from the OTD forum, where I have posted on the fawtlhouse thread... :)
Did I say already what a wonderful gesture this blog is?

I don't mind it being separated. However, Oh Great God of the Leaf, I am eternally grateful for your thoughtful consideration. Ah...to be leafy must be peaceful and full of Zen wisdom.

Is Imrijka two weapon fighting there?

They rule through superior intellect and skill at arms, of course.

...What?

There was a fun article on 'The Ecology of the Flail Snail', I think, back in the days of 2nd edition AD&D in Dragon magazine.

Screw it. I begin this now!

I am formally making a request to all you forum and chatroom regulars. I implore you that we should consider implementing a new Paizoliday.

Before, Erik Mona Day brought joy to the Paizo offices. I now propose we should create:

Dynamic Duet Day!....hmm...sounds kinda cheesy....

Sara-Crystal Day!....hmm...no.

SM and Crystal Day!....better than the other two...

Bring in your ideas!

AH HA!

PAIZOGRRRL Day!

To be fair, we should include Gary and Ross as well...since they were powerless to stop this wonderful instance of feminine empowerment!

Well, they are iconics...

I would expect to see the Magus iconic (Magus is getting an iconic, right?) in artwork too...

And is it just me, or does anyone else immediately think of Carmen Sandiego whenever they see the Inquisitor Iconic?

Hmm, maybe we could have the Magus fighting Selytiel.... If Selytiel survives this encounter with the snail. For that matter, maybe this is why they're introducing the Magus in the first place? Because Selytiel is engaged here in his last fight ever!!!!

Hmm....I will mine the chatroom for suggestions as well.

I'll covertly ask the PMA what SM and Crystal like best....

Hmm, looking at the artwork for the Imrijka vs adherer, fight! scene, haven't we seen those pyramids somewhere before? I think there was a scene with some of the iconics stepping through a magical portal/gate to a desert with pyramids something like that in one of the older products...

The Exchange

I too am glad that the APG Iconics will appear in artwork in other books.
