Set of 3 markers. This multi-part marker assembles to make a stand-up torch which is placed next to your miniatures. These Torch Bearer markers are designed to snugly fit 25mm or 1-inch round bases and are perfect for showing which character in the group has a torch.
Not sure what the problem was with the previous reviewers? The need for glue was made clear when I bought these and likely explains their affordability. I also really can't fathom how one might say that Lego flame bricks (which I also own) are better than these. Other GMs and all my players love these things. I get compliments each time I pull them out at a Con. I bought one set and I am back to buy two more (one set for my player bag and another to put with my GM stuff).
For as many five-star ratings I give for quality products, this one is 1-star to 2-stars at best. I perceive poor production value and misfitting parts along with conceptually poor design in terms of usability.
I won't be contacting the company with ideas, but think its fair to suggest to peers to avoid this item.
Disassembly is also not possible once glue must be used, and no indication is given on the product that glue is required.
Urgh. This looks so rubbish and the flames are tiny. I use the Lego flame blocks instead (see link); they look much better and can be slotted into cones and pipes and head-shaped blocks for bases. You can also get the flames in different colours if you want to designate where mystical torches are.
I agree with the first reviewer. The need for glue is a downer. It would have been simpler to create a pre-assembled product, or create a product that "snaps" together.
While the concept for this item is cool, and looks good, especially in the picture, it doesn't come off all that well. The pieces were not well sized towards each other and wobble excessively, constantly falling apart when moved around, until glued together. At this point, they become stiff and fragile, requiring careful packing between sessions. I think it would have been much more useful to make the grooves deeper to allow the GM to put them together, and then take them apart between sessions for storage.
