Splitting a scenario across two short slots?

I'm hoping to be able to run some PFS scenarios at my usual gaming session. However, the normal weekly slot we have is only 2½-3 hours; too short for a PFS scenario. Are there any rules about splitting a scenario across two of these slots, a week apart?

I imagine that using the PCs in another scenario between these two slots would be a big no-no, so I'd make sure that (already unlikely) situation was avoided.

What would be the best way to create/report such an event on the web site; use the starting date as the date of the event in the system?

First I would try to resolve the time slot issue as much as humanly possible.

If you had to split it, I would create the event on the site but mark it as private. You really aren't doing anyone a favor if they accidentally show up for session 2. I would make it for the start date, yes. You could just create/report the event after the game is complete though since it doesn't sound like you are trying to get random walkup players for this?

And using characters who are currently in mid adventure is a no-no. So sounds like you are on the right path :)

Paz - I run PFS games for kids (ages 10-12) and we have to split the sessions quite often. Their little minds can only absorb so much so we will often run the scenario in two parts. We have never had a problem getting all players to finish, so I typically report the game on the day it was completed. It doesn't really matter much, but I found it easier to remember that way. Our event is marked as private in the system and we have 8-10 players who take part from time to time. We just report them as we complete them, which is rather random.

Thanks for the quick responses.

Yes, if we could arrange a 4-5 hour slot to play in we would do it, but unfortunately circumstances dictate that it's not possible.

This is for a pre-agreed group of players. I'll follow your suggestions when putting the event into the system.

I need to finish running 'Crown of Fangs' first but I should be ready to go in a month or two. Thanks for the advice!
