Unicon 2013 Melbourne

Melbourne High School, South Yarra, Victoria

Event # 32442

Pathfinder Society is an organised play campaign enjoyed by thousands of gamers worldwide who regularly meet to enjoy the game in their homes, in game stores, and at game conventions such as Conquest and Unicon.

You play an agent of the Pathfinder Society, a legendary league of explorers, archeologists, and adventurers dedicated to discovering and chronicling the greatest mysteries and wonders of an ancient world beset by magic and monsters. The campaign's home base is sprawling Absalom, the so-called City at the Center of the World. A Pathfinder explores the dark alleys and political intrigues of Absalom between far-flung travels to the most interesting and exotic locales in the world of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game.

Each Pathfinder Society game sends your character on a brief mission, a single episode in a continuing story. For every three scenarios played, your character gains a new level, and you can progress your character over the course of many Pathfinder Society adventures held at different conventions and events run throughout the year.

Each Pathfinder Society game plays for 5 hours duration, and therefore require TWO standard Unicon sessions to play, for example:

Friday 4th October

  • Session 1: 6pm to 11pm (covering Sessions R and A)
Saturday 5th October
  • Session 2: 9am to 3:30pm (covering Sessions B and C)
  • Session 3: 4pm to 11pm (covering Sessions D and E)
Sunday 6th October
  • Session 4: 9am to 3:30pm (covering Sessions F and G)

IMPORTANT:

In an effort to reduce mustering time before each session, we're posting Scenarios for player to pre-register on Warhorn. Scenarios will include intros for new players, new releases (Season 5: Year of the Demon) and popular favourites, so something for everyone! Yes, this means you need to book your seats in two places, on AON and on Warhorn.

If a scenario you want to play is booked out, please add yourself to the Waitlist so we know there is extra demand for this session - we're keeping a close eye on signups and will add scenarios to the schedule to meet player demand - therefore, check back for additions and changes as Unicon draws near.

You may join the Pathfinder Society without any prior game experience by playing one of 14 pre-generated characters.

Most Pathfinder sourcebooks contain options you may use for your character, including new classes, archetypes, feats, traits, equipment, spells etc. If using a rule from a source outside the Core Rulebook, you must have a legal copy of that book with you at the table for the GM to refer to, and it must be listed as allowed on the Additional Resources page, otherwise your character won't be permitted to use that class, feat, spell etc during play.
