This latest installment of the Savage Tide is unique in its non-linear construction. The heroes must collect victory points throughout the adventure by accomplishing tasks designed to bolster the defenses of the colony at Farshore in addition to continuing the storyline of the Shadow Pearls. In the end of the adventure the fate of Farshore is determined by their accumulated Victory Points. And best of all, whether Farshore is overrun or not, the heroes still get a chance to crack the skull of a past villain in a climactic battle. Well designed and well written, this is what makes the Savage Tide story arc the best thing going!
