Paizo's Summer Gladiatorial Challenge

Win a Sword, Computer Games or d20 Goodies at Origins and Gen Con

The Code Monkeys from PCGen and the staff from Paizo Publishing, LLC challenge the first 72 comers to gladiatorial combat at Origins and GenCon. The contest will use standard D&D rules, modified by those in Dragon #303. There will be nine heats of eight gladiators each battling in a glorious free-for-all in the new Dwarven Forge Coliseum to be unveiled at Origins.

The events will use "spice" as described in the Dragon articles and characters will have access to those rules changes and specialized weapons (such as the razor net) by downloading the special Gladiator version of PCGen's character generation tools. Other PCGen tools are available free at: http://pcgen.sourceforge.net/

The Gladiator version can be downloaded at http://www.codemonkeypublishing.com/downloads/publishers/paizo/bringiton.exe or on the Paizo site at: http://paizo.com/BringItOn.exe

A winner will be declared at the conclusion of each heat and the top gladiator will be given a prize (minimum $10 retail value) at the close of combat. The winner of each heat will be eligible to participate in the final beatdown on Sunday at the Paizo booth. The winner of the finals will receive a full-sized sword to honor his/her achievement.

All gladiators must either bring the PCGen copy of a 4th level gladiator character (any standard D&D race or character class) or use one of the pre-generated characters at the booth. To enter, email your PCGen character file to dragon@paizo.com by June 15th.

The Gladiator Challenges at the Paizo Publishing booth will be led by Johnny Wilson, President and Publisher at Paizo Publishing, and Erik Mona, Editor of Polyhedron magazine.

The schedule of heats to be held at the Dwarven Forge Coliseum is:
