I wanted to take a minute to complement Jonathan Drain and Dragon for this short, but very useful article. I've always had trouble with coming up with balanced curse effects, particularly on the fly in the middle of a gaming session. This article helps a lot with this problem and is really useful for me, as a time-harried DM, to help judge curses on the fly.
The greater bestow curse is a cool spell as well. I hope that the trend of short, useful articles that detail various niches in the game continues. I don't know if the intent was to write an article that is useful to DMs who are short on time, but I hope the trend continues.
I also wanted to chime in on this one.
I like the new take with new variations on a classic fantasy concept, that being curses.
This one really got the cerebral juices flowing.

Did they mention new curse effects? If so, can someone please list them?
24 new ones for bestow curse. then a variant greater bestow curse is listed, along with another 12 i think for it.
example
* One of the target's limbs ceases to function.(+ a paragraph on game effects of various non functional limbs including wings.)
*The target must carry something designated by the caster or suffer a -5 penalty on all saves.(details)
i'm not sure how much i am allowed to detail here, it is closed content i believe. they are neat effects though, the scaling of the 8th level greater bestow curse is flawed. the effects are not nearly as powerful as they should be considering the level.
