This week's blog is a quick one, because a heaping handful of the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game design team will be traveling to the fabulous Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport for five days of board games and Texas-sized eating opportunities. It's time for BGG.Con!

This year, Lone Shark Games and Paizo are teaming up in the exhibit hall (in the inaptly named Made in Texas room) to show off a variety of Lone Shark's works in progress, as well as our collaborative work-in-progress, the Mummy's Mask Adventure Path.

Designers Liz Spain and Paul Peterson will be on hand to run a Mummy's Mask preview, sign stuff, and chat. Designer Chad Brown and I will likely be roaming around causing trouble as well—you may want to check the signup sheets each day to see if there's anything of interest over there. And though Selinker has no plans to attend, you could still consult a higher authority. Who? Perhaps you'll find answers in this set of spoilers...

What manner of Occlumens are you?

That's all for this week. Next week, Obsidian Entertainment producer Nathan Davis will be in this space with a tasty treat to add to your (American) Thanksgiving bounty. In the meantime, go make some cards!

When do the rest of us less fortunate types get to see previews of Mummy's Mask? Or will that all wait until after the Season of Runelords?

It's the Internet age. In a matter of hours, there will probably be YouTube videos and session reports posted. Check the general forums here and at boardgamegeek.com

PACG updates come out once a week on Tuesday, so I doubt all of them will consist of "community member of the week" guest postings.

Very cool, and congrats to Ross!

I came by today to the booth, Signed up for something on Saturday ..

I think Mummy's mask is tomorrow. Wish I'd known, but I am booked during the day :/

I hope the tasty treat on Tuesday is the announcement that they are releasing PACG in the app store that same day!

I have my iPad Pro at the ready to enjoy playing PACG digitally thoughout the long weekend!

Supposedly it's now an early 2016 release but I believe they have the date nailed down. Big announcement to come!

Meanwhile, I had a spectacularly exhausting BGGCON. I got a sneak peek of Apocrypha with Liz Spain, I play tested prototypes with Matt Leacock, and Tom Lehman, I got to play Fire Team Zero and The Thunderbirds with the game designers. I taught PACG to a couple of people thanks to the BGG Library having full sets available for check out. I got to play in the yearly invitation-only game of Here I Stand as the French. I have determined that they should bring champagne to any such sessions in the future. ( long story)

I won a prize pack on Saturday night ( first time ever) and was given some Goblin Fire red wine by Jeff at the Lone Shark booth ( Tah mate!)

My only regret is missing out on Mummy's mask as I was being pulled in so many different directions :/

I'm trying to decide if that's sarcasm or a typo.

Ha! My edit took a while as I added in my adventures :)

I mean, it's really quite good already; I can't imagine what they'd add with another 900 years to work on it.

Sovereign Court

They don't want to release it until they know all PACG content is released so they can include all the things!

Silver Crusade

Wait! Are you saying there are less than 900 years of PACG content left? What will my future incarnations play?

Sovereign Court

Only for first edition. They'll be playing PACG 2.0

But don't feel bad: 2.0 will be previewed and beta tested in conventions in only 899 years. Keep checking that forum for future insider infos.

And BTW, since 2.0 starts with mummies, no worries. Mummies survived 3000 years until 1.0, they can wait 900 more.
