Maybe someone can help me out. In Part 3, when Ameiko is performing, what does "Aroden's Shadow" refer to? I figure she is perhaps talking about the loss of her boyfriend during her adventuring days, but I'd like to know what that line means. Is it a location? Something figurative? I know who Aroden is, but that's not helping me.

I just figured it's another way of saying, "Under the eyes of a non-interventionist god," with the added implication -- because Aroden died -- that it could all end at any time, for even the most powerful people.

I don't remember reading anything specific about "Aroden's shadow" elsewhere.

But Valeros doesn't have the lack of footgear to be a sexy, shoeless god of war.

I think it's a double meaning. The first time, "Aroden's shadow" is literally talking about being in His presence. The second time, "Aroden's shadow" more likely could better be called "Aroden's shade", or rather, His ghost.

FOR BLOOD AND BATTLE! ^_^

I haven't read the comic yet, but it's possible that 'Aroden's Shadow' might refer to the 'shadow' that fell over the age of prophecy, as all original portents and predictions were obscured or occulted (or otherwise made unclear and / or messed up). Sort of a metaphor for the age of prophecy 'going dark' as whatever metaphorical 'illumination' was provided by prophecy was shut off.

Valeros and a few of my characters have the same attitude to such problems, :D

When you say "final installment", does that mean that this is it? No more comics?

The art was really uneven in this issue. Some pages (especially the bar scenes) were really good, but others seemed pretty rushed.
The story seems pretty good, however. Much better than the most recent Forgotten Realms series by IDW (ugh, I expected better from Greenwood).
I might get the trade if I see it cheap on Amazon.

Can someone tell us if this is the final issue, please, and why?

This was the final batch of pages from issue #1 of the comic. #6 is being shipped to subscribers this week, incidentally.

Ok, but is the comic going to continue after issue 6?

I've not heard or seen anything from either Paizo, Dynamite, or Jim Zub about it being cancelled.

Ok, thanks, because hastings, in my home town, told me it was canceled. I just wanted to make sure.

Thanks again,

John

Jim Zub here. The comic is most definitely not cancelled. We're plugging away on material for new issues and there will probably be a few 'Specials' coming in addition to the regular series. Lots of great Pathfinder comics still to come for 2013.

Our second story arc is called 'Of Tooth and Claw' and, although in ties into events from the first arc, it's also a solid place for readers to get on board if they haven't already.

The art on this second arc is being drawn by Jake Bilbao and you can check out the sample pages he drew to get the gig right here:

We hope you'll stick around and see what adventures we have in store.

Well then you're in luck. Here's the Amazon listing for 35% off if you pre-order:

They just mean the final installment of free samples from the first issue that they've been posting for free here on the Paizo blog.

Issue #6 arrives in comic shops April 17th and the series continues with our second story arc this Spring.

That is good to know, but why would they tell me it is canceled? I got a subscription because I enjoy the mini maps and things you add to the comic. Thanks for posting because I know I can't be the only one that has been told this or thought this was the end.

Thanks,

John

Loving the new art. Can't wait to see it in color.

I have no idea where your store would have heard this. Paizo and Dynamite have never said anything other than that they're keeping it going.

Thanks Jim. It is good to know that it will continue. Thanks again for the replies.
