Relief!

We’re all still reeling from the big push to get our Gen Con releases out the door, but you know what never gets old? Signing books.

You may remember that a while back we put up a bunch of autographed books (including the gold-foil Special Edition copies seen here) as an auction to try to raise money for tsunami relief efforts in Japan. Well, it turns out that the Paizo community members found it in their hearts to give most generously, and now we’re holding up our end of the bargain. Mr. Wayne Reynolds himself—on loan from England—was in here earlier this week signing copies, and as you can see, we’re busily collecting signatures from everyone else here at Paizo. (Pictured here is only the first wave of signatures from the editorial pit. By the time the rest of the company is done with it, it’ll be a game of its own just trying to figure out who’s who....)

I hope a cleric of Asmodeus was on hand to make all of the signatures binding.

Dude used to be a colorist for big-name comic books. True story!

I am going to guess his mom did. ;)

I can't wait to see mine show up.

Is the middle of that page in the CoreBooks especially reserved for Jason?! :)

NO. Turns out dummy just got there first and is of the Handcock school of inflated signifying. Erik and I went behind him and in a few other signed copies tried to see if we could make our signatures as big. :P

Wait a minute - let's be clear here: you have to get Wayne Reynolds ON LOAN from ENGLAND? What, do they own the IP rights to him or something? I always knew it was a British conspiracy to take back control of the free world. Damn!

XP ;)

Maybe we were never free in the first place. This could be some conspiracy that they control things here and they do it in a way that makes us think we're free.

If that's true then I'll have to change things. :)

Its not my fault that the two of you have tiny, cramped script.

It's not our fault that your Large hamhands can't sign in anything less than 72-point!

Hmmm, I thought that the two items I got with this would ship together. I got the email about the core book on Monday, but nothing about the bestiary. Is it just a delay on the bestiary or was the email for both items?

Both of your books are in the same box...Cosmo just forgot to mention that in the email to you. And as an fyi, just in case the other winner of the same 2-book set wanders past this thread and wonders the same thing, both of his books are in one box as well.

Thanks again for the super-generous bids and helping out the Japan Relief effort!

Ok, thanks. Just wanted to be sure.

Looks like Cosmo sent the exact same email to me as he sent to another person about this. I just noticed that he got my name wrong in the email.

I'm glad this auction went to help the relief effort.
