Raider of Shrieking Peak Playtested till Death due Party Part (or until you succeed) (Inactive)

Game Master DoubleGold

The Map

Starts August 15th

Caro Cogitatus checking in with my Goblin Rogue. Not sure I calculated everything correctly, but here she is.

Glares menacingly "I WILL be watching you, goblin thief! What is the Decemvirate thinking these days by allowing your kind here?!"

CyberMephit here with my Dwarven Bard. My PFS number is 194005-1501. Do I have to pick a faction?

Dotting, taking a look at making a character ...

Not looked at PF2E yet, so ...

Thinking I'll go something easy, halfling monk with ranged monk weapons looks a bit difficult to start with ... so will probably change to something else.

So we have a Paladin, Bard, Rogue....

And I'm just noting I think we have 7?

Mephit, egzuki, Caro, Myself, Tyranius, Sethran, and just now Deevor.

If you think I'm game-crashing and making the numbers too much, I'll drop as I didn't know the recruitment had been done previously.

Introducing Fenguk Fargaze, Halfling Cleric of Erastil. "If my allies need me in the vanguard I will not hesitate, but I am far more effective in the rear with Curves, my longbow."

Fenguk - you may want to manually type in the 'Offense' section into your profile, HLO output is bugged and skips it :(

Deevor - the recruitment started in the Cottonseed thread, GM created a separate one after 4 players have posted and since then 2 more have posted there and 1 here... Let's see what DoubleGold decides.

Snorri- Thanks I will do that.

Also, I'm finishing my purchases and I am having a hard timing figuring item levels. I know the treasure table at the end of the book but I can't see a listing for the level of expert quality weapons or armour. The non-magical kind. Any idea?

HLO actually shows them once you amend quality/add rune I think? expert weapons are level 3, +1 rune is lvl4. Expert armor is level 2, +1 rune is level 3.

Good! Good! Reta needs a big strong Dwarf to protect her from bigger badder Baddies. Thanks, you! Thanks, you! Thanks, you!

Reta moves toward Snorri with the apparent attempt of giving him a friendly hug.

I think it's now Perception vs. Deception?

Perception DC15:

Reta is not lying. She actually is thanking Snorri and trying to be friendly. Whether or not Snorri accepts the hug, she thanks him profusely for his offer of protection.

Whether she's dumb enough to have missed his true intent, or savvy enough to play on his Dwarven sense of honor, you don't know.

7 Players is fine, gameplay and discussion are up for people who want to dot and delete.

Paladin, Bard, Rogue, Cleric.

I am looking at a Barbarian, unless you think we need either of the two not-yet-represented types of magic?

Reta:
Hmm, was that to Create a Diversion or to Lie?
Either way I think if you're using Deception then you should be rolling vs my Perception DC which I think is 17 (if the Perc mod is +7)?
And your Deception mod would also be +7 I think if you're Trained with 14 Cha?
Either way looks like a coin flip :)
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Snorri grumbles but does not push the goblin away, making a point of checking his pockets after she lets go.

Oh, you can all post in discussion

Players name
Character name and PFS number
Faction (I don't believe there are any yet for 2nd edition yet)
Day Job roll: I have no idea what this is going to do, being it is a playtest, but roll it anyway.

Snorri:

Yeah, I realized too late that I got the number wrong, but since she's actually sincere it didn't really matter. My goal was mostly to foster a sense of possible deception since nobody trusts goblins.

And nothing was taken from your pockets. Yet. :-)

Reta is enthusiastically smitten with her new friend Snorri.

Big Strong Dwarf is good friend to have! Reta will be protected now.

Reta dances the Dance of Dwarven Protection.

What are we still needing? I created a barbarian as well, but can spit something out pretty quick with herolab.

Looks like the only two things directly missing so far are primal and arcane casters. I guess with 7 players some crossover is inevitable! Having two different builds of the same class would be interesting.

Dark Archive

I can make a caster that is no problem. It looks like we have a ton of melee

Dark Archive

Okay, I made an Aberrant Sorcerer.

*Ahem* Aberrant Sorcerers are Occult casters, same as us Bards! :D But hey, I'm all fine with that.

Actually since the errata is now posted it has invalidated some of my feat choices so I need to re-do them. But I get an extra 1st level spell now! EDIT: in fact, an extra spell of each level.

Dark Archive

True :) I was looking for at the caster vs melee options rather than spell lists itself.

Game is up, glitches in Paizo are starting to slow down, but they still occur.
