Looking for a group who would be interested in doing a Starfinder RP podcast. I've listened to several and it seems like a great experience I'd like to try out.
Experience:
I've been gaming for the last 3 years, roughly once a week, every week. I gamed when I was a teen and LARPed until a short while ago.
Preferences:
I'd really like a queer group because I'm tired of the casual sexism/homophobic comments.
I'd like someone who enjoys DMing - I'm pretty new to DMing and I feel like I'm pretty bad at it, but I'm willing to give it a go if no one else wants to.
Podcast - I'm willing to learn the production side and see what can be done. I'd love for people to want to do voices, and create a fun RP world.
Beyond this I'm completely open to whatever. I'm super excited about Starfinder, my husband has event posted some Homebrew races to the forums, and is willing to do more if there is something specific people want to play.

I make a point to be an inclusive player and very much enjoy adding voices to my characters that I create. I've wanted to try out a game podcast for a little bit now. I'd be happy to be considered for this.
Great! I've sent you a PM with some details. Looking forward to hearing back from you!

You know what? This actually sounds fun. If you're curious, I'm a lesbian transwoman, so I have my queer credentials down :P I need to get a good mic, though.
EDIT: I can also DM if neccessary. Who knows, this might actually give me the motivation to get off my butt and write down the campaign that's been brewing in my brain for two years now.

UPDATING: Still looking for a couple of core members for a group who would be interested in doing a Starfinder RP podcast. I've listened to several and it seems like a great experience I'd like to try out.
I have a DM in place now, I have 2-3 players for Saturdays 10a-1p twice a month. Ideally I'd be get able to get commitment from 2 more; I'd like female identifying people, who use facebook for communication, and are 21 or over as we are looking for a podcast that doesn't moderate language.

I've been checking into this thread every time I see it bumped and I've gotten to the point where I just need to ask, and I ask this out of interest and not in an attempt to insult:
What exactly do you mean by "I'd really like a queer group because I'm tired of the casual sexism/homophobic comments"?
As far as I can tell here on the boards there isn't an obvious problem, and most Podcasts that see any success these days are usually sensitive about those things, so I'm really just in the dark about what 'the casual sexism/homophobic comments' are. That statement insinuates to me that binary/non-queer/however-you-want-to-say-it people need to prove themselves worth being allowed in, and also insinuates that a group with people who happens to be 'queer' in one way or another is a 'queer' group rather than just another gaming group with people in it.

HeftyUpTop: I'm not asking anyone to prove anything.
When I've gone to Pathfinder Society games casual sexism/homophobic comments are ubiquitous to the experience. I am not talking about on the boards, that experience has been mostly fantastic. :)
For the podcasts - many of the ones I listen to are sensitive to the issue and I truly appreciate it; however, I have had a surprising number of people approach me and friends across the country [when I've brought up what I'm trying to create here] who have said they have heard from LGBTQ gamers that they wish there were more LGBTQ RP podcasts. So - that is a thing I'm looking to do. It sounds fun, and like something others would be into, but don't have the interest in creating.
As for wanting LGBTQ folks, for an LGBTQ podcast, I'm looking for more than my cis-gendered, white, male voice (or my husband's). So I'm asking for different voices. I have tons of cis-gendered male LGBTQ people who are interested - and that is fantastic - I love it. However, I play in 2 different in-person games, both w/ women in them, I have heard women/female identified individuals, lamenting that they don't have a voice - so I want to see if that is something I can encourage in this podcast of LGBTQ people. My request isn't about excluding people - it is an open call for female identified people to feel included and wanted in gaming, in podcasting, and in role playing.
I HOPE I am not going about this in the wrong way. I'm hopeful that it will work, but if I can't get any responses that fit the demographic, I will go with other options. I just don't want to not TRY to be inclusive and label a podcast I'm creating as LGBTQ and not have opportunities for people other than the "G" to have representation.
