Browman |
Henry grabs Bill and pulls him out of the sun.
"Good God man! How hot out is it today!"
Henry calls out to the farmer, "Sir, can you bring us a bucket of water, my friend appears to have injured himself somehow! Assuming you are alright that is, the sun appears to be.... I I just don't know!"
Intelligence + Medicine How could that happen? 3d10+1d10
no science you are aware of can explain this.
"Why don't you boys come out and get the water yourselves? Then we can get the wagon ready and head into town, we can even take your friend to the doctor if that is what is needed."
Browman |
Henry steps back when the sun flashes so brilliantly in his eyes and starts, "What in God's name is going on!"
Jump back! [dice=Dex+Ath]2d10+2d10
Can I attempt to close the door as well?
Henry manages to close the door as he leaps back.
The old man pushes the door open shortly thereafter.
"What happened to him," He says as he points to billy.
Henry Aketer |
Henry shakes his head, "I don't know. How, how is it you are out there?! That sun seems so blazing hot... Perhaps we are all just lacking water from our ordeal. Indeed, we do not even know for how many days we were kidnapped kind sir!"
If the man has water with him, Henry will try to drink some.
Browman |
"What happened to you, it will likely rain before we reach town. The clouds stretch halfway from here to London. Come, once we have reached town you can all see a doctor."
You get some water from the bucket that the man is carrying and almost immediately begin vomiting. But you are so thirsty, it feels like you could drink the whole bucket without pausing.
Henry Aketer |
Henry shakes his head at the farmer, "I am terribly sorry kind Sir but somehow, someway what these fellows did to us seems to be making us all terribly sick at the moment. As if allergic to all things mundane!" Henry states as he backs away rom the entrance.
"Perhaps we will rest here and take ourselves to town on foot once that rest is over..."
Browman |
You all sit in silence contemplating your options and what has happened to you. You lose track of time or fall asleep and are jolted back to full consciousness by the door opening.
It is noon and the farmer is back. Fortunately the sun has shifted so it isn't shinning through the doorway as much anymore. The farmer looks angry and is holding a pitchfork.
"I told you that you had best be gone by now. I have been more than reasonable. Be on your way."
Henry Aketer |
Henry blinks, "I am terribly sorry sir. If we could we would but whatever has been done to us has made us terribly ill. Pray a few more hours of rest and then we shall be on our way! Had I something to give you I would, indeed once I return home I can send you something in return for your kindness if it would help you to find Protestant Charity in your heart".
If I need to make a roll I will. Otherwise I guess my fellows will take their pound of flesh and pint of blood from our poor farmer friend!

make a charisma + expression roll.
Billy Hawkins |
Billy slowly walks toward the farmer.
"Hold on just a minute. You're right, you've been more than fair with us...unfortunately that's not quite enough." he says, rushing the farmer, intent on doing bodily harm.
Dexterity + Brawl + Celerity - 1 die for Hurt = 5 dice
Brawling Attack (Tackle, Diff 7): 5d10 ⇒ (2, 10, 6, 8, 4) = 30
Potential Damage (Strength + 1 + Potence - 1 Hurt + 1 extra success): 5d10 ⇒ (3, 3, 2, 9, 3) = 20
Dexterity + Celerity + Athletics - 1 die (Diff 7 to stay upright): 5d10 ⇒ (3, 8, 3, 1, 1) = 16
Wow, those are some crappy rolls. The farmer needs to make the same Dex + Athletics Diff 7 roll to stay up right, or be knocked down.
Miles Thorne |
Miles has been unusually quiet as time passed in the farmer's barn. He felt gripped with uncertainty, but all that changed when Billy stood up and lunged at the farmer.
"Wh-what in God's name are you doing?!"
On a side note, are there trees within running distance of the barn? And would they offer enough shelter from the sun that I won't get burned by it if I take shelter under them?
Browman |
No but you could get to the house in one round."

Somehow the old man isn't hurt by billy's attak, but he is knocked over and hits his head on the edge of one of the wooden posts supporting the roof.
Everyone make a self control check due to the sight of blood. Difficulty 4 for everyone except Miles. He has less blood than everyone else currently so his difficulty is 6.
Rory Dunsirn |
Rory woke up some time just before Billy attacked the man. He was confused but oddly wide awake. He was letting the others figure out what was going on as he dwelt on the odd changes that he was beginning to notice. At least till he spotted the blood.

Henry's self control: 3d10 ⇒ (9, 6, 4) = 19
Henry and Rory manage to contain themselves but Miles and Billy descend on the man. They grow fangs which they use to bit him and drain his blood.
Billy takes 3 points then stops. Miles drain the man of the all the blood has then passes out for a moment. He wakes with no memory of what happened after the man fell.
Current Blood
Billy 7
Miles 10
Rory and Henry 4
Also Miles gains a derangement that whenever he frenzies from lack of blood he blacks out during the frenzy and has no memory of what happened while he frenzied.
Miles Thorne |
Miles blinks his eyes when the sheer... madness... finally passes. He feels strong. Stronger than he's ever been. Sated. His clothes are spattered with blood.
"...what the...?"
He looks down. His eyes widen.
"...oh... oh Jesus CHRIST!" He scrambles away from the farmer's bloodless corpse in terror. He can't seem to look away.
"What the bloody Hell just happened?!"
Conscience Roll (If Required)?: 4d10 ⇒ (1, 9, 5, 9) = 24 At least 1 success... I don't think Miles loses Humanity this time, right?
Rory Dunsirn |
Rory watches and he gets it, at least he gets what it must be but thats impossible. He steps forward toward the corpse when both boys have had their fill. "Well bloody perfect boys." he said looking down on the body and then to the others "Ok I was off in my own little world, Wife? Kids? Someone who is gonna come looking soon?"
Oh don't worry about Rory, the boys just left him a perfect midnight snack, gotta love being a cannibal when you get let your friends get the blood and you can just eat the left overs and gain nearly as much.
Rory Dunsirn |
Rory woke late and growled he seemed to be sleeping all the time lately. He got up off the ground "I agree, I dont like the idea of going back to this place, but we might need to to learn what they did to us. I mean if they wanted us dead they would have killed us outright, right?" he asked and he looks outside to see if its dark. "Anyone know if anyone came to check on the guy?" he worried someone would find them here. "If not he might have been living alone, we could see if he has anything, like a wagon or whatever to get us there and out faster than on foot." He looked to the man and he worried this could be traced to them, after all they where just leaving a corpse lying around.
Henry Aketer |
"Good idea Rory, we should take some sort of transportation in case we need a quick getaway. The blood of this farmer is on our captors hands, not ours.
Indeed we need to return there Miles and have them undo what they did to us, if we cannot go out in the sun or feel the need to attack people who aid us how can we go home?
I am going to head to the house, do any of you wish to come with me?"
Henry will head to the house to make sure no one else is there...
Henry Aketer |
Henry retrieves the musket, powder, balls, and the axe and heads back to the barn.
"Alright my friends, any of you know how to use either of these? I will stick with the dagger as I am not much of a fighter I am afraid. We can take the horse and the cart and head back to that place and demand answers!"
Rory Dunsirn |
Rory nodded and he grabbed a rope and began to tie the body of the man up by the ankles tossing the rope over the rafters of the barn and began to try and hoist him up. "We need to dispose of the body, if this gets tracked back to us we are all doomed, even if we get this reversed. His life is over, why should ours end because of it?"
Henry Aketer |
Henry grimaces, "You are right man, should we simply bury him? I suppose we should also burn the wagon and let the horse go when we are done with them so we are not caught with his possessions. These villains now have two deaths to answer for not just the crimes against us!"
Rory Dunsirn |
Rory said "Go back to the manor without me, I will deal with the body" He told them hanging the man up by his ankles.
Basically when the boys leave, Rory is gonna butcher the body as he was taught by his family. Then he will try to bury the pieces. But I am gonna roll to see if he gets so hungry he might just eat a few pieces himself.
