Male Kobold Sorceror/1

Azzerix slid to the side as the dogslicer slipped past him... but just barely! Perhaps he was going in a bit too over confident... but could you blame him? Have you met him? He is the Winter Dragon!

Stepping back and leaping to safety, Azzerix reared back before opening his maw, letting out a burst of cold energy towards the assailing goblin.

Rane drew another chakram, and whirled it towards the goblin who was currently trying to hack the little lizard to pieces.

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19, 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Male Kobold Trainee Game Master 1

The goblin stumbled a bit, and shrieked as he felt a bit of the kobold's frost spell freeze a small part of his arm.

"You little, me will-!"

Before he could lift his dogslicer, Rane's chakram slammed into the goblin's back skull. The little guy grinned in stupidity a bit before falling face first into the ground.

All around you, you see chaos forming-goblins chasing innocent people, but it seems as if these goblins are filled with more bravery than normal, as some try to even jump on the local guards that were fending off the little buggers.

Suddenly, a loud explosion comes from the south, and three more goblins appear next to a burning wagon-one that stored the fuel for the ending bonfire. This time, two of them are wielding torches while the other wields a shorbow. However, it seems as if there is another figure behind these fiends.

Perception 12:
You see that this goblin carries a whip, and is wearing...lipstick? Whether you are repulsed by the sight of a female goblin or not, you quickly realize that she is responsible for the scratchy chanting going on-a warchanter.

Map is updated

Order:
Goblin Warrior #3
Goblin Warchanter
Tarnok
Azzerix
Rane
Goblin #1
Ashleaf & Jarro
Goblin #2

The goblin in the center of the trio readies his bow, and shoots towards the Shoanti (Rane), and the arrow embeds into the man's shoulder.

Goblin # 3 Shortbow: 1d20 + 5 = (15) + 5 = 20; 1d6 + 1 = (6) + 1 = 7

Meanwhile the goblin warchanter continues to sing her screechy song, filling up the goblins with gusto.

Rane takes 7 points of damage-and no I did not rig that, that's what the dice system I'm using gave me. You guys are up!

Male Human Witch 1

Tarnok continues drawing on the power of the spirit world while advancing towards the goblins.

Misfortune on the guy closest to me (will, DC13), chant, five foot step

Male Kobold Sorceror/1

Azzerix looked about and spied the goblin squealing in the center. Surely, he must be their misguided leader! Either way, that song was going to have to stop; it was hurting his ears.

But first thing was first: dealing with those little pests in his way. Swiftly moving closer, he decided it was time to stop messing around and bring his real power to bear. Reeling back his head, he inhaled as cold air expelled from the corners of his maw, before leaning forward and belting out a short roar... and a cold ball of ice and snow sailing for the nearest goblin.

Snowball (ranged touch): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 161d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Human Ranger 1 HP:12/12, AC 17, T 13, FF 14 Fort+3, Ref+5, Will+3, Init+3, perc+6

Rane grunts as an arrow impacts on his shoulder. He'd have to use the other arm for throwing.

He drew another chakram, and sent the disk whirling back towards the goblin who'd shot him.

To hit vs #3: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21, 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Goblin #1 Will: 1d20-1 = (9) - 1 = 8

The goblin on the left of the archer goblin stopped, and squirmed around, trying to figure out where the unusual but creepy feeling was coming from. However, as he was distracted, the snowball landed on the goblin's face; as he wiped the snow off, he realized that his right eye could not see-due to shards of ice impaled into his eyeball. The goblin screamed before dropping to the ground, dead.

The archer goblin cackled as he hit the longshark, but his laughter turned into fear as he notices the disc before it enters his skull, dropping to the ground with a shocked expression.

Goblins #1 and 3 are dead!

The second goblin hesitates, noticing the other two goblins already down; he drops his torch and switches to a dogslicer.

Goblin #2 delays an action. Ashleaf and Jarro are up! Map is updated

Gathlain Bard (Flame Dancer) 8

The half-elf druid points at the ugly and disgusting lipstick wearing goblin and speaks but one more word. "Eat." He takes a couple steps over toward Rane, noticing his wound and mutters the old words to which nature herself inclined her head. His hands glowed with the light of the summer sun, and he placed his healing hand on Rane.

Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Jarro understood there was more hunting to do, one had to provide for one's pack after all. He loped easily across the battlefield and tried to bite the goblin's spindly neck.

Bite: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Male Kobold Trainee Game Master 1

The female goblin was taken a massive bite, but managed to survive long enough to try and slice her dogslicer into the cat's head.

Goblin Warchanter's Dogslicer: 1d20 + 0 = (3) + 0 = 3

But misses by a wide shot!

Tarnok, Azzerix and Rane's turn!

Male Human Witch 1

Tarnok calls down misfortune on the last of the little monsters.

Misfortune DC 13, chant. If I need to move to get into range I can take a five foot step.

Male Kobold Trainee Game Master 1

Goblin Warchanter Will Save: 1d20 + 3 = (14) + 3 = 17

The goblin warchanter manages to ignore the eerie feeling of unluck.

Azzerix, Rane, Ashleaf and Jarro's turn!

Male Kobold Sorceror/1

Azzerix snarled a sneer at the goblin as he called out to him. "Puny green face! I'll assume you're the misguided leader of this band of sodfoots! I'm giving you a chance to mend your ways and serve a real force of nature - my benevolent draconic majesty!"

He pointed a fingered claw at the remaining goblin warrior, imbuing it with white energy. "Tell your remaining minions to swear their strength to me, and I will graciously accept your humble service! Else... I make little goblin ice sculptures out of all of you!" His little yellow eyes snap to the goblin and fire his bolt of ice energy.

Ray of Frost: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 121d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Gathlain Bard (Flame Dancer) 8

Jarro sees the goblin squirm, and it awakens the instinct on the cat. His tail twitches and he tries to bring "her" down with his lovely claws and teeth. This one might taste even better than the last one did.

Claw: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Claw: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Bite: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

After he gives Rane a look over to see he's healed up, Ashleaf moves over toward the final goblin. He takes his hands and swings his staff with mighty force, his muscles straining for speed and follow through. Although his hand slips on the staff as he brings it to bear, it seems pretty strong still, and is able to make good contact.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

Human Ranger 1 HP:12/12, AC 17, T 13, FF 14 Fort+3, Ref+5, Will+3, Init+3, perc+6

If any goblins remain standing, Rane tosses a chakram at it.

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24, 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Otherwise, he looks about for more of the little green things, before grabbing a moment's respite. Then he sets about pulling his chakrams out of various corpses.

Perception, looking for more goblins: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Male Kobold Trainee Game Master 1

The warchanter screams as she gets mutilated badly; the other goblin tries to run away, only to have his spine snap from Ashleaf's staff.

Perception 10:
Any who can hear past the clanging of swords between goblin and guard can hear a man screaming and frantic dog barking from the north gate, not too far from the area you're in now.

Human Ranger 1 HP:12/12, AC 17, T 13, FF 14 Fort+3, Ref+5, Will+3, Init+3, perc+6

Human Ranger 1 HP:12/12, AC 17, T 13, FF 14 Fort+3, Ref+5, Will+3, Init+3, perc+6

"Someone's in trouble." Rane grunted, before setting off in a run towards the source of the screaming.

The chakram would have to wait. He'd come back to collect them - or maybe he could buy some off of a smith somewhere in town. Considerations for later though, right now he had to get his head in the game.

Male Kobold Sorceror/1

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

As Azzerix grimaces as the goblins get torn to bits, he shook his head. I might have to speak with my talons about death before diplomacy... oh well, that can come later. His fringes perk up as he hears the sound of someone crying out a short distance away.

"Uuuuuuuugh... a dragon can't even enjoy his victory before his subjects need his might. So poorly prepared..." he groaned, before traipsing off in the direction of the ruckus.

Male Human Witch 1

Tarnok follows the others, making sure to let Rane take the lead.

Gathlain Bard (Flame Dancer) 8

A quick whistle to Jarro to leave the she goblin alone, and Ashleaf was accompanied by his cat in the direction of the new trouble. His long legs were able to quickly outpace the white kobold and Tarnok who seemed to want to go slowly. His talents didn't lie in combat, where the fishing buddies seemed to revel in it a little. Ashleaf put his oaken staff over his shoulder as they caught up to Rane with a nod and stayed even with him from there.

Male Kobold Trainee Game Master 1

Sorry guys, didn't have time to fix up the next map. So I guess we'll use the theater of the mind

You four race over to see a dog falling to the ground, a fatal gash in its head. It's killer is another goblin, riding on a hideous creature that resembles a dog-like rat. From behind this dog-killing rider, three more goblins appear, wielding their dogslicers and preparing to attack you all!

Initiative:

Goblin Commando: 1d20 + 3 = (16) + 3 = 19
Goblin Warrior #1: 1d20 + 6 = (1) + 6 = 7
Goblin Warrior #2: 1d20 + 6 = (8) + 6 = 14
Goblin Warrior #3: 1d20 + 6 = (18) + 6 = 24
Ashleaf & Jarro: 1d20 + 1 = (9) + 1 = 10
Azzerix: 1d20 + 3 = (3) + 3 = 6
Rane: 1d20 + 3 = (12) + 3 = 15
Tarnok: 1d20 + 8 = (13) + 8 = 21

Initiative Order:

Goblin Warrior #3
Tarnok
Goblin Commando
Rane
Goblin Warrior #2
Ashleaf and Jarro
Goblin Warrior #1
Azzerix

Knowledge (nature) 10:
You recognize that the vile creature the goblin commando is riding is a goblin dog-which is not a canine, but a hideously ugly dog-like rat. They carry a mange that effects any creatures except goblinoids.

One of the goblins races towards the kobold, ignoring the taller humanoids next to the lizard man.

Since we're using the theater of mind, all four of you will be standing next to each other-Tarnok, Rane, Azzerix, and Ashleaf, in that order-30 ft from the goblins. Thus, Rane and Ashleaf get an Attack of Opportunity from the goblin. If you don't think that'll work, please let me know.

Tarnok's turn!

Male Human Witch 1

By now Tarnok is starting to wonder if these goblins are under the protection of one of their accursed gods, but he's nothing if not persistent.

Misfortune on the commando, chant

Gathlain Bard (Flame Dancer) 8

Now they were killing dogs? That didn't seem right. Jarro didn't seem to mind the end of the dog, they were hard to deal with anyway, but Ashleaf seemed a bit perturbed. Mom had taken a dog with her when they went to fight goblins. It brought back bad memories.

As the goblins started their surge, Ashleaf found an opening and swung his staff with two hands when he saw what the goblin was up to. "No." he said firmly.

AoO: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Human Ranger 1 HP:12/12, AC 17, T 13, FF 14 Fort+3, Ref+5, Will+3, Init+3, perc+6

I don't have any melee weapons out, so no AoO for me. Might As well roll Nature while I'm posting anyway. :)

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Male Kobold Trainee Game Master 1

Ashleaf's staff manages to break the skull of the bold-almost stupid-goblin, and it falls limp.

Goblin Commando's Will Save: 1d20 + 2 = (17) + 2 = 19

The commando prepares an arrow, and fires it directly at the little kobold.

Goblin Commando's Arrow: 1d20 + 1 = (12) + 1 = 13

Goblin Commando's Arrow (damage): 1d4 = 4

The arrow hits Azzerix and gets embedded deep in his chest.

Rane's turn!

Human Ranger 1 HP:12/12, AC 17, T 13, FF 14 Fort+3, Ref+5, Will+3, Init+3, perc+6

Rane angled to get into a better spot to throw his weapon, and tosses it at the leading goblin.

Chakram vs Commando: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6, 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

He curses as he flounders, and the disk winds up skidding along the ground instead of imbedded itself in the goblin's head.

Male Kobold Trainee Game Master 1

Okay sorry about the confusion guys. I think that for this beginning round, you guys are flat-footed.

Another goblin moves towards the longsharks, but not getting too close to them.

[/ooc]Goblin Warrior #2 moves 10 ft. Ashleaf and Jarro's turn! Also I seriously do need to apologize for any blunders due to lack of GM knowledge.[/ooc]

Gathlain Bard (Flame Dancer) 8

Everyone is flat-footed until their first initiative. Then they are ready for battle. So since Ashleaf was flat-footed for the goblin, that attack should do fine for his standard action during his regular turn. I'll just post for Jarro.

Jarro sees one of the other goblins come forward and looks up at his fishing buddy expectantly. Ashleaf, with his foot on the goblin whose head he just caved in, pulling his staff out of the goo that was found on the inside, tapping it on the ground to get off the excess, nodded to the cat. "Eat" he mentioned, and the cat sprang into action.

Bite: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Getting a good hold on the goblin's arm with it's teeth, Jarro sunk in his teeth, tugging on it, hoping it would fall over to make the rest of the job easier.

Male Kobold Trainee Game Master 1

The cat claws at the goblin as he screams in fear and pain at the predator.

Meanwhile, the other goblin near the commando froze, not wanting to get close to the cat-much to the commando's chagrin.

Goblin #1 delays. Azzerix's turn!

Male Kobold Sorceror/1

Azzerix arrives on the scene, regarding it with a lack of enthusiasm. That is, until the goblin commando imbeds an arrow into Azzerix's side. Roaring in pain, Azzerix bore his fangs at the goblin. "That... was a mistake. I had planned to offer you servitude under my glorious reign."

Azzerix reached up and grasped the arrow, ripping it out of his hide and snarling, two spouts of cold air flaring from his nostrils. "...I've changed my mind! EVERY ONE OF YOU SWAMP SNOTS DIES!!! TALONS! Spare none of these pathetic vermin!" The kobold screamed, before reeling back his head and exhaling another ball of ice and snow at the goblin commando.

Snowball (DC 14 vs. staggered): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 141d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Male Kobold Trainee Game Master 1

The commando raises an eyebrow as he tilts his head sideways, missing the snowball just by a few inches before cracking a giant grin.

"Little kobold won't kill goblins! Goblins have kobold for FOOD!!"

Tarnok's turn! Also, everyone's no longer under flat-footed.

Male Human Witch 1

Tarnok calls down misfortune on whichever goblin warrior is least damaged, before chanting.

Eventually they'll miss a DC13 will save, right?

Male Kobold Trainee Game Master 1

Goblin #1 Will Save: 1d20 - 1 = (3) - 1 = 2

The goblin that Tarnok targets immediately freezes, and begins to twitch his head around frantically in a panic.

Meanwhile, the commando pulls another arrow-yet decides to go for the firepelt cougar.

Goblin Commando Shortbow: 1d20 + 5 - 4(mounted) + 2(favored enemy) = (15) + 5 - 4(mounted) + 2(favored enemy) = 18

Goblin Commando Shortbow Damage: 1d4 +2(favored enemy=animals) = (2) + 2 = 4

The arrow hits the cougar's upper shoulder, not enough to give major damage, but it does make the cat yowl in pain.

Rane, Ashleaf and Jarro's turn!

Human Ranger 1 HP:12/12, AC 17, T 13, FF 14 Fort+3, Ref+5, Will+3, Init+3, perc+6

Rane throws his last chakram at a nearby goblin. He was down to bow and arrow from here on out.

Chakram vs Goblin #3: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8, 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Gathlain Bard (Flame Dancer) 8

Jarro is currently in Melee combat as far as I can recall. Any ranged attacks at him should be at a -4 penalty unless the shooter has Precise Strike. However, if the Commando is not taking a double move, then he is not hit with the mounted penalty. So the attack is still successful.

Jarro, a bit annoyed that his meal was being interrupted, thought it was time to bring this goblin down.

Claw: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Claw: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Bite: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Claw Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22

Bite Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Crit Claw Damage: 2d3 + 2 ⇒ (2, 2) + 2 = 6
Claw Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Ashleaf is also a bit annoyed that the commando would target his cat. Boldly, he made his way around the remaining goblin and attacked the commander, but aimed at the goblin dog with his staff, hoping to bring the goblin down to size.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

Male Kobold Trainee Game Master 1

Goblin Commando's Mounted Combat check: 1d20 + 9 = (1) + 9 = 10

As Jarro manages to claw the goblin into pieces, Asheaf strikes the goblin dog, hitting it hard in the head and making it collapse. The commando goes tumbling down, cursing, "DAMN YOU LONGSHARK!!"

Commando's Goblin Dog is dead. Ashleaf, make a Fort save

Ashleaf Fort DC 12:
If you fail, you take a -2 penalty to Dexterity and Charisma for one day

Rane's chakcram misses the goblin, though he starts to panic at the sight of the commando's goblin dog dying. He charges towards the kobold, though stopping a good distance from him.

Goblin Warrior #1 is now 10 feet from Azzerix. Azzerix's turn!

Male Kobold Sorceror/1

Azzerix snarls at the goblin commando, before raising a claw at the nearby goblin warrior. "Do you know what Azzerix means, slime spit?" he growled, before his claws surged with white energy. "It is Draconic... and it means 'lord of cold'. Now, be a good subject... AND KNEEL!" Another bolt of white energy surged from his hand, flying for the last goblin standing.

Ray of Frost: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 211d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Male Kobold Trainee Game Master 1

The goblin that Azzerix was targeting felt the cold, but still stood, although he was shivering badly.

The commando snarled back at the kobold, "Lord of cold? Well goblins be lords of fire-and fire melts cold!"

Tarnok's turn!

Male Human Witch 1

Could we get a quick summary of who's left, who's where, and how hurt guys are?

Tarnok continues to go about his business of calling down misfortune on his enemies.

Misfortune on the warrior that isn't whammied, chant.

Male Kobold Trainee Game Master 1

Sorry about that.

The only one's remaining are Goblin Warrior #1 and the Goblin Commando. Goblin Warrior is at 3 hp, and the Goblin Commando is at full hp (12). Ashleaf is next to the Commando, and the Goblin Warrior is still 30 ft in front of Rane, Tarnok, and Azzerix. Also, Jarro has taken 4 points of damage from the Commando's longbow.[ooc]

Also Tarnok, I think you already cast Misfortune on the last warrior. I know you tried to misfortune on the commando, but he pushed through it with a will save. So I'll let ya change it from the warrior to the commando.[/ooc]

Commando Will Save: 1d20 + 2 = (4) + 2 = 6

The commando pauses, and looks around frantically, trying to shake off the feeling of dread. He decides to take out his frantic feelings on the half elf near him.

Commando Horsechopper Attack: 1d20 + 4 = (17) + 4 = 21; (14) + 4 = 18 (Misfortune)

Commando Horsechopper Damage: 1d8 + 1 = (3) + 1 = 4

The horsechopper slices a good ways into Ashleaf's chest, a bit of blood flicking onto the ground and the blade.

Ashleaf takes 4 points of damage. Ashleaf, Jarro and Rane's turn! And apologies for any slip ups.

Male Human Witch 1

Much as I would like to whammy the commando, once somebody saves against misfortune they can't be targeted with it again for 24 hours. If you want to waive that restriction I'm cool with it but it makes the hex crazy good. If we're sticking with the restrictions as written let's make it a -2 AC hit from evil eye instead.

Human Ranger 1 HP:12/12, AC 17, T 13, FF 14 Fort+3, Ref+5, Will+3, Init+3, perc+6

Rane fires an arrow at the mounted goblin.

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8, 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Gathlain Bard (Flame Dancer) 8

Taking the hit from the commando without a sound or even a flinch, Ashleaf scowls at the goblin in front of him and reaches up with his staff, bringing the end down at the goblin leader like a pool cue looking to squash his head from the top.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Jarro, having gotten bored with the goblin he had because it wasn't moving anymore, went over to nip at the commander's heels half-heartedly. Goblin didn't taste all that good anyway.

Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Male Kobold Trainee Game Master 1

Rane misses his mark, and the half elf manages to cave in the commando's skull open before his cougar can even attack.

BATTLE OVER!!

As the battle ends, the noble runs up to shake each of the warriors' hands.

"Thank you, thank you! I don't know what I would've done if-"

His attention is drawn towards the kobold, and the nobleman drops to his knees to get eye level with the little reptilian.

"My, my, a kobold in Sandpoint?! Now I have seen everything!" the man exclaimed, "Pray tell, I apologize, for I am Aldern Foxglove, and I was just visiting this little town when those dastardly goblins ambushed my beloved hunting hound. Are you perhaps a local? Or maybe even the town mascot?" It was strange to see this man be so fascinated with this kobold.

Human Ranger 1 HP:12/12, AC 17, T 13, FF 14 Fort+3, Ref+5, Will+3, Init+3, perc+6

"He is the mighty dragon Azzerix Wyrmclaw, who has taken up residence and acts as high protector of Sandpoint." Rane stated, as way of introduction, bowing to the half-elf man.

He set about retrieving his throwing disks from where they'd clattered to the floor, and where they were embedded in goblins.

Male Kobold Sorceror/1

Azzerix snarls a grin at the fallen goblins, flinging his claw out and unfurling his little white cape in triumph. "EXCELLENT! My first victory against these little cretins! At this pace, the rest should be willing to bow to my maj--"

Poor Azzerix seems almost caught offguard at the half-elf's sudden interest, and is about to protest the kobold title and introduce himself... when Rane does the task for him. Not even have to explain himself... he could get used to this! "Indeed. As my First Talon has said. You have the privilege of addressing Azzerix, the Winter Dragon and Guardian of Sandpoint. And these are the Three Talons, my mightiest lieutenants. My First Talon, Rane, you have already met." The kobold pointed to the human collecting his disks.

"My Second and Third Talons, Tarnok and Ashleaf, also lead my majestic forces... well, will lead them, when I get some. I've only just arrived and have yet to properly survey the surroundings." Azzerix looked out towards the town edge, grimacing a little. "However, I can already tell it is infested. As to be expected, but... such uncultured little urchins." Azzerix spies some grim on his arm and immediately starts to brush it off, taking a moment to try and clean himself up.

Male Kobold Trainee Game Master 1

You guys do know that Aldern is a human right? Unless I've may have typed something to make you guys think that you were saving Tsuto or something

"Oh, my apologies, Great Winter Dragon," Aldern bowed to the kobold like he was bowing to a king, "It is unfair of me to be in the presence of such a mighty creature. I humbly owe you and your Talons a reward for saving my life. Perhaps a boar hunt tomorrow afternoon?"

The man seemed to be genuinely honest about asking such a task, although his face did turn stern for a moment, clarifying, [b]"Yes, the raid today was...most peculiar. They normally go in very small groups, but this was more like a gurilla tactic than a raid..."

Perception 15:

Male Kobold Sorceror/1
