Questions on item scentience.
1: do the characters (note I do not mean players) have an active influence on the allignment/personality of the object
2: does having an object with a differing alignment to yours cause negative levels?

Mmk...
Usually, the item is your alignment, but if it's not, you have as much influence on it's alignment as human does on another human, expect this "human" is reliant on you.
It's not like a normal magic item where it is locked in an alignment- it's flexible, and may bend over time.
Not a bonded item. That Would be stupid.

As a warning- this campaign will be more heavily scripted then normal campaigns i run, due to the play-test nature here.
I have to craft encounters carefully right now, and can't make one on the fly.

Anyway, I'll tell you what i can about my character without spoiling magic's.
He's a young elf (age 50, 7-8 in human years) and is quite short, but thanks to his build still looks his age. (No wobbly frame, head matched well, ect...)
He follows Jeff's character around after his parents died to [redacted], and is quite skilled at crafting and using guns. He improvises well, and despite his remarkable dexterity, he is very fragile.
He worships Yuelral devoutly.
He's capable of some magic.
I'm trying to decide his last perk and traits for him.

Represents devotion.
Can I forgoe my traits for 1 extra 1st level spell known? If not, this is one of mine.
I figure one of us needs the heal spell.

I know a mind healing spell, but not yet a bodially healing one

Someone needs to have it, and if I get it, I need it for the concept, but it also saves my precious few skill points that I don't need to use on Heal.

This is why I'm worried about blue Mage- it trivializes other casters by letting you know all their spells.
Save nightmare casters, of course.

And the evoker retains relevance because the blue Mage will only learn spells when hit by them
And in character I don't know I'm a blue Mage yet.
And I'm delibritly going to have slightly lowered sanity by seeking out knowledge that was not ment to be known, which means fewer spells cast in a day

After you learn you're a blue Mage, you can just ask to have these spells cast on you, and there is little reason to deny that request.
