i have lashings coming already doesn't matter. puts a rat into fipps, and japes mouth. and walks up the stairs.
come on filth fever get those jerks.

Female Majar Oracle / 1

Whew, made it through that without getting knocked out myself and getting to send someone's teeth flying. :)

Snickering as Ornotck puts the rats into the two pirates mouths, Lorelei follows him up the stairs, calling back to Odiseo. "That's because someone did punch you in the face, now come on up the stairs before we're late enough to earn a lashing."

Even if we do end up with a lashing, it was worth it. Felt good to be able to take out my frustration on something.

Indubitably Never 3d6

As you all spill out onto the deck, you see Scourge chewing out Sy and Maheem, who are both looking cowed. Plugg is standing on the deck behind them, watching the last of the sand spill through the glass. He reaches out and pulls the bell to ring the watch as you fall in with the rest of the crew. Scourge scowls at you all, but says nothing, aside from assigning your tasks.

Day Jobs:

Fen 1d6 ⇒ 6 It's been a day since Captain Harrigan killed anyone in cold blood. To help stave off his depression, the officers are preparing a feast. You are to slaughter one of the pigs (DC 10 Prof. Cook or survival)
Ragnar 1d6 ⇒ 5 You're manning the crow's nest today. DC 10 climb and DC 10 Perception. Watch out for sea gulls.
Ornotck 1d6 ⇒ 4 Ropework. Hauling, knotting, etc. DC 10 Prof. Sailor or Str and DC 10 Con to avoid fatigue.
Havok 1d6 ⇒ 3 Swabbing the decks. Scrubbing them with sandstone and then mopping. Fun. The good news is, you can't fail. The bad news? DC 10 Str or Con to avoid fatigue.
Lorelei 1d6 ⇒ 1 Manning the bilges. Vile and sweaty work cleaning out the lowest part of the ship. DC 12 Str to do the job and DC 10 Con to avoid fatigue.
Odiseo 1d6 ⇒ 6 Repairs: keeping up the maintenance of all the junk on the ship. DC 10 Dex or Prof. Sailor.

Male Goblin Alchemist/1

Day 2 - Day Work - Influence

Havok begins to scrub the decks, it's long and tiring work, but Havok is a good worker and he gets threw it with no issue.

Strength Check 1d20 ⇒ 14

While working, he tries to spot another press ganged sailor, someone his own height as he is still a bit skittish around people larger then him

Believe there's a gnome or halfling, but not sure which are working as swabs with us. Whichever one it is, Havok will try to work by them and strike up a conversation

Male Human Barbarian (Sea Reaver) 2 HP 22/23, NLD 0; AC 16, FF 14, T 12; Fort +5, Ref +2, Will +1; Init +4, Perc +6

Pulling back the reins on his anger and crushing it back into a little ball, Ragnar stumbles back on deck with the rest of his press-ganged compatriots, looking thoroughly haggard.
I'm fatigued for 4 rounds- will that count on my task roll?

Taldor

Female Halfling Witch 1

profession(cook): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

Despite having never done such a daunting task, Fen manages to slaughter a pig almost her own size without it trampling her, and spends the day helping to prepare it. While cooking she sings.

"So hoist up the Wormwood's sail, see how the mainsail sets,
Call for the captain ashore, and let me go home.
Let me go home, I wanna go home,
Well I feel so broke up, I wanna go home."

Male Human Barbarian (Sea Reaver) 2 HP 22/23, NLD 0; AC 16, FF 14, T 12; Fort +5, Ref +2, Will +1; Init +4, Perc +6

Assuming it doesn't.
Climb: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

During the day, Ragnar will glower at Slippery Sy SO HARD. Whenever he spies her in the rigging, he points two fingers at his eyes and then back at her. Just so she knows he's got his eye on her.
Intimidate: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Female Majar Oracle / 1

str 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
con 1d20 ⇒ 1
Uhm, I am sooo tired by the end of the day...
influence 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

Bilges!? Seriously, this is so very disgusting. I'm going to smell as bad as the little goblin by the end of this day.

Once down there, Lorelei looks about for someone to chat up. If she finds someone: "Well, we sure got stuck with a foul job for the day. It sure is a nice way to follow up a surprise workout this morning. Are Sy and her friends always so welcoming to new crewmembers?"

Lorelei tries to maintain a friendly chat and tries to figure out if Sy and crew were acting on their own or if someone just wanted an excuse to carry out more lashings...

Add +2 to my diplomacy roll if they heard me sing last night. :)

And Lorelei is totally casting Prestidigitation upon herself once out of the bilge.

Male Half orc ranger 1 hp 12/12 ac12, touch 12, ff 10, fort 6, ref 5 ,will 4 ,init 2, perc 7

for job check
sailor: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
con: 1d20 ⇒ 16

influence Shivikah if possible. work out rp of it latter.
bluff: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17

Human Oracle (Dark Tapestry) 1

@ Fen: Nice Beach Boys reference!

Dex check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19

Despite having never held so much hammered a nail, Odiseo does a pretty good job keeping the Wormwood's junk from looking more... well, junky.

He mostly works by himself, except for the ever-present voices in his head.

"The conflict this morning has diminished our influence in this material sphere. You must be prepared for any acts of reprisal; if possible, obtain a deterrant."

Odiseo's day time action is Sneak.

Perception check: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (12) - 1 = 11

Con Check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Indubitably Never 3d6

Looks like everyone was successful at the jobs. RP to be done later.
@ Ragnar: Yes, it won't. The job roll is an all-day thing, only people who are fatigued from staying up past their bedtimes or overwork the day before apply it to their roll. Sy is bruised, but glares back just as hard at you.
@ Havok: There is Rosie Cusswell, the foul-mouthed halfling. Make a roll to influence (diplomacy, intimidate or bluff) and we can catch the rp as it comes.
@ Fen. Beach Boys ok. I draw the line at Jimmy Buffet.
@ Odiseo. You are crossing the deck when you notice a monkey up in the rigging, it seems to be watching the hatch to the galley, greedy little ... er ... monkey.
@ Lorelei. I'll figure out who was down there and who you swung later, but that looks pretty successful.
@ Ornotck. Have to check the book, but I think you were effective.

Male Goblin Alchemist/1

Nice, forums are back up. I will post in an hour once I get to work

Male Goblin Alchemist/1

Havok sees the halfling and moves closer to her, "Hullo! I'm Havok! Who be you?" Havok puts on as much as a smile as he can for the pretty halfling lady, making sure to stay down wind from here so as not to freak her out by his smell

Diplomacy 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (19) - 2 = 17

Male Half orc ranger 1 hp 12/12 ac12, touch 12, ff 10, fort 6, ref 5 ,will 4 ,init 2, perc 7

Come on gm, we have been waiting like good little players. :p in teasing voice

Indubitably Never 3d6

@ Havok:
A halfling lass with a handaxe at her hip and a perpetual scowl, is scrubbing the decks beside you. She glowers at you when you approach her, but gives a nod at your greeting. "I'm Rosie Cusswell. I don't xxxxxing know why the xxxxx they xxxxxing call me that, but they always xxxxxxing have, the xxxxxxxs."

@ Lorelei:
The one assigned with you to the bilge is none other than Conchobar Turlach Shortstone, an extremely well dressed and groomed gnome. He gives you an over-friendly smile as you strike up a conversation and then turns a bit green as you both find your way into the bilge. "Er, I think it might be best if you handle the deep stuff, don't you? You having the advantage of height, you see?" he explains as he crouches under the low roof, carefully keeping his brightly polished boots out of the stagnant water.

@ Fen:
At some point during the day, you find yourself on deck, dumping slops over the side, and you spy a small furry creature high in the rigging that a couple of the pirates are pointing at and throwing trash at. It is far above their reach, but when you appear, it seems to stop its screeching and stare at you for a moment before scrambling out of sight behind a sail.

@ Ornotck:
As you and Shivikah finally drop a heavy coil of rope in place, she gives you the kind of half-smile that people share who are bonded by sharing a difficult job. "Could be worse, I guess," she says. "We could be working downwind of the goblin."

For all, we'll play out the days events before we move on to the night, so I can get back in my groove.

Female Majar Oracle / 1

Ah ha, I see a good way to explain my earlier high success roll for influence and make a friend. :)

Giving a little laugh while trying to not breath too much through your nose is a bit difficult, but Lorelei still manages. "Don't worry, I wouldn't want you to risk drowning in this foul stuff. And as for when our shift end....

Lorelei finishes that sentence with by stepping into the deep end and then back out and then using Prestidigitation to clean herself off. I can clean us both off before we go above deck.

Male Goblin Alchemist/1

Havok smiles at Rosie "My last captain used words like yours, like xxxxxx and xxxxxxx, I like you Rosie, even with all the bad pirates here." He moves in closely to Rosie to whisper. "I knows you weres pressed with us, I sneak good, does you need me to find anything for yous?"

Human Oracle (Dark Tapestry) 1

There had been monkeys in Ilizmagorti; Odiseo recalled watching a housekeeper shoo them away from the veranda with a broom. She had called them "clever rats" and "hairy little thieves," but Odiseo had always enjoyed watching the creatures' capers.

He whistles to the little beast. "Hey, down here," he stage whispers.

Male Half orc ranger 1 hp 12/12 ac12, touch 12, ff 10, fort 6, ref 5 ,will 4 ,init 2, perc 7

day rp:
True, but as smelly as he is, i am sure he will find a way to make himself useful, How long have you been on this ship, do you get a bit cold at night if you know what i mean?
bluff to seduce: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
dang missed it once more, i will get one of the npcs to share my bunk one way or another in this game, or share there bunk, hmm i guess it would be hammock but still.

Female Majar Oracle / 1

*laughs* I think you may scare all the female npcs away before you actually succeed with any of them. You may have to resort to hitting on pcs. :P

Taldor

Female Halfling Witch 1

Haha - I can't speak for Lorelei but I'll tell you right now you and me ain't gonna work out.

Male Half orc ranger 1 hp 12/12 ac12, touch 12, ff 10, fort 6, ref 5 ,will 4 ,init 2, perc 7

I would do intimidate but that seems to be a little to rapey to me, and worst case find a brothel latter on if i run out of female npcs on the ship. :p

Female Majar Oracle / 1

According to all those pirate books with Fabio on the cover, all you have to do is either save or capture a maiden and she will just swoon in your arms.

Male Half orc ranger 1 hp 12/12 ac12, touch 12, ff 10, fort 6, ref 5 ,will 4 ,init 2, perc 7

But that was with Fabio, my guy is all scared up and fugly, so capture would be only way it might work and even that can get kind of dark...

Indubitably Never 3d6

Yeah. Try to find a maiden on a pirate ship. I dare ya.

@ Lorelei:
The gnome grins when he sees your spell.
"So you must get dirty a lot to have learned that trick," he says, with a lecherous wink. "Nothing better than a pretty lass who cleans up well...."
He is a seemingly bottomless well of bad pick-up lines, and if that helps the day go faster, it flies by.

@Havok:
The halfling scowls at you and then sighs.
"They took everything, but nothing that couldn't be replaced, except my fiddle. That was a beautiful xxxxxing thing, and these xxxxxs probably hocked it for coppers."

Ornotck:
She just laughs and shakes her head.
"Cold bunk? We're in the tropics, or hadn't you noticed?"

Female Majar Oracle / 1

A pirate version of Beauty and the Beast?

Having worked with sailors over the years, Lorelei is rather accustomed to such talk. Though of course she turns down all his offers.

Male Goblin Alchemist/1

Havok looks puzzled for a second, "Fiddle? stings?! music box?!? Havok be right back!" Havok discreetly runs down to his bunk and opens up the locker. He grabs out the fiddle, hides it in his coat and comes back up on deck. He hands the fiddle to Rosie. "Strings?"

Male Half orc ranger 1 hp 12/12 ac12, touch 12, ff 10, fort 6, ref 5 ,will 4 ,init 2, perc 7

No problem still more women on this ship, i should be able to charm one of them at least.

True it is a warm place to be, but some times there is a cold wind, and best to have a body next to you to keep warm if you know what i mean.*wink*
oh i know i failed, but i am keeping this train wreck going. also finding a maiden is not a problem, becouse it seems that just means unmarried woman. now finding a fair maiden is another story.
oh oh oh can i be the beauty? you can be the beast if you know what i mean....wow that was weird even for me to type. ;P

Taldor

Female Halfling Witch 1

Hey, I'm a fair maiden on this pirate ship! I'm just....way too small for a half-orc.

Female Majar Oracle / 1

That means you're just the right size for a goblin?

Taldor

Female Halfling Witch 1

As much as I hate to say it...yeah Havok's got more chance with me than Ornotck. That said...ewwww!

Male Half orc ranger 1 hp 12/12 ac12, touch 12, ff 10, fort 6, ref 5 ,will 4 ,init 2, perc 7

two things, for one we should move this funny ooc stuff to the discussion area, and two, with fen i am sure with the right spell or two a halfling and a half orc can get down to it. be it grease, enlarge, or reduce person, or other cleaver uses of spells. :p

and sorry havok seems you wont get fen, better luck with the other halfling girl.

Indubitably Never 3d6

Do you think Ornotck gets a progressive -1 penalty to his seduction attempts for each one that failed, as word gets around that he's hitting on every M sized humanoid female?

Havok:
The halfing grabs the fiddle from you and spews out a torrent of vile language, out of which you are able to pull a few words and phrases such as "thanks" and "owe you one." For a moment, she almost looks like she's going to hug you, but at the last minute, her nose wrinkles up and she just clasps her hands in front of her and says "Thank you, Havok!"
With that, she begins to tune her fiddle. You guys are getting to me. That sounded dirty, and I'm not even sure how.

Male Goblin Alchemist/1

Havok smiles broadly, Anything for Rosie friend!!

Male Goblin Alchemist/1

Nighttime Actions
Rum Ration: Pocket
Stealth Check 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16

Having finished with his work for the day and getting more bare materials, Havok heads to his bunk and begins to brew up his missing extracts, bombs and mutagen. After finishing, he heads to bed early for the night

Brew Bombs, an extract of shield, true strike, and a Dex mutagen.

Indubitably Never 3d6

Daytime actions done. On to the nighttime.

Havok successfully pockets his drink. Though the bag may be getting full....

Female Majar Oracle / 1

chr bonus for drinking rum 1d4 ⇒ 2
fortitude check for rum 1d20 ⇒ 1
perform sing 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

Lorelei drinks her rum with dinner and then decides to sing another some for some evening entertainment. This time she chooses a lively little tune involving pirates, rum and buried treasure.

After singing she'll indulge in a little friendly chat with anyone who cares to talk.

Anyone at all worth bothering to flirt with?

Male Goblin Alchemist/1

Havok uses the alcohol as a reagent for his bombs

Male Half orc ranger 1 hp 12/12 ac12, touch 12, ff 10, fort 6, ref 5 ,will 4 ,init 2, perc 7

Intimidate: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

Taldor

Female Halfling Witch 1

dump rum stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

With the unpleasant after-effects of this morning still fresh in her mind, Fen decides against drinking any rum tonight and quietly tips it under the table.

Indubitably Never 3d6

@ Lorelei: I think after that much rum, everyone seems worth flirting with. Enter Ornotck?
@ Fen: rum dumped.
@ Ornotck: Intimidate for flirting? Inquiring minds want actual dialogue.

Female Majar Oracle / 1

Good point DM, I did roll a 1 for the fort save. I should rp that out.
So let's see what happens...

During her little performance, Lorelei notices Ornotck making yet another attempt at flirting with the pirate crew. She'll catch him as he's returning to his hammock later on. "Poor Ornotck, turned away again?" <insert drunken giggle here> "I'm sure they are all just intimidated by your" Brief pause with a glance downward. "size."

With a sigh and shrug Lorelei continues: "I guess you just need to find a woman capable of handling you."

Male Goblin Alchemist/1

Havok continues to brew his bombs and extracts into the night, he overhears Lorelei and Ornotck and raises an eyebrow slightly.

Carnal relations for the purpose of coitus... never understood the idea behind it. Now this I understand... ethanol alcohol distilled to its basic element for a perfect oxidization catalyst. Followed with an excelerant will cause the proper chain reaction for exactly what I need...

He finally looks over to Lorelei and Ornotck, "Shhh, Havok working!"

Male Half orc ranger 1 hp 12/12 ac12, touch 12, ff 10, fort 6, ref 5 ,will 4 ,init 2, perc 7

for the intimidate for flirting, if there is a big guy bugging you and you have no real way to get away, a thought might be to just get it over with rather then fighting it. also bluff hates me...

Tilly
So we good then? I saw how you looked at me last night after our little talk, i am sure we can become better friends, and i know a way to make it go faster.

lorelei
walks up next to Lorelei and trys to lift her up with one arm, is she lets it happen
You dont look intimidated, and you look like a woman that might be able to handle me.

Havok
I am working to, little brother

Wow that was odd for me to write, I am a super nice guy, and only able to flirt with a girl i am already dating. so awkward to flirt in game. also i was not aiming for a pc romance or fling, but i will take what is given. and on a silver platter no less.

Taldor

Female Halfling Witch 1

Laying on her hammock after dinner, Fen turns over and looks down curiously at Havok working. "Watcha making? Smells awful."

Female Majar Oracle / 1

Blame it on the rum...
Also, I kept laughing while typing.

Lorelei allows Ornotck to attempt to pick her up. "I don't think you have what it takes to intimidate me, but we can try to find a quieter place for you to prove me wrong..."

So at this point we can figure out what's about to happen, so do we need to make a sneak roll to find a secluded spot on the ship 'cause Lorelei is not an exhibitionist.
If so: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
hmm...we may get caught

Male Half orc ranger 1 hp 12/12 ac12, touch 12, ff 10, fort 6, ref 5 ,will 4 ,init 2, perc 7

lets find out ma lady. fully picking her up bridle style and says to havok
try to let us have some privacy, if you can little bro, thanks for the help in advance.
stealth: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 to find a good hiding spot for the night
ya looks like we will get found.... but just in case
intimidate: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19 for anyone that discovers us to scram.

Taldor

Female Halfling Witch 1

Fen looks up to see some commotion between Lorelei and Ornotck, and cocks her head to the side a bit. "What are they doing?"

Poor little innocent Fen I get the feeling is up for a rude awakening on this ship.

Female Majar Oracle / 1

At least you rolled good for the intimidate. Tomorrow will be interesting for us I am sure.
And yes, Fen will be learning a lot about life during this voyage. :)

Male Human Barbarian (Sea Reaver) 2 HP 22/23, NLD 0; AC 16, FF 14, T 12; Fort +5, Ref +2, Will +1; Init +4, Perc +6

Ragnar is scheduled for six lashes during bloody hour for tossing his last ration of rum.

Ragnar tosses his rum: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Steadfastly refusing to learn his lesson, the Ulfen tips over his rum ration at dinner. When Scourge notices, he just shrugs. "Uhps."

And assuming I'm not whipped into unconsciousness, Ragnar will pal up with Cog a little more.
Finding the other sailor on deck, Ragnar approaches and nods.
"Yuh nuhvuh suhd huh yuh wuhnd uhp huh.", he says.
Diplomacy: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (13) - 1 = 12
